Re uploading this as for some reason UA-cam deleted it...
Anyway here is my song 'Catch Me If You Can', I hope you all like it, more songs in the works!
I've been travelling a lot these past few years which is why it has been hard for me to put out as much content as I would like.
Hopefully I'll be more settled in the near future and will be able to do more regular uploads.
In the meantime enjoy!
Hands down..the most amazing guitarist on you UA-cam..go Jake go
Thanks again Maxwell, gonna be putting something new out soon so keep an eye out!
Freaking amazing. Not just the playing, but the composition itself.
Thank you again, yea I always try to make sure there's a song there and not just fancy playing.
Your playing is so precise and so absolutely clean, to my ear, you rank with the likes of Glen Campbell, Jerry Reed and Roy Clark... I think that you out-class many stars of today that are known for their guitar skills!
Again, thank you so much. That really means a lot, to be compared to the greats! Well I'm just doing my thing and if people like it then cool, that's all I can ask for!
@@JakeFaun I agree Mike. Hi Jake. If I ever need some guitar work done for a client would you be interested?
@@garylong2664 thanks Gary, yes definitely I do a lot of remote recording so please let me know if you ever need something. My contact info is in the description.
Pure sickness!
Thanks man!
Its fuc.. amazing! Respect from Russia!👍

Much respect from Canada!!
Ah thank you, that's so cool to hear! Well I'm glad I kept both you and you're wife awake that night. I've got more music coming soon to keep you up so please do keep an eye out!
2 years later I’m laying in bed watching this again (with AirPods lol) still, unreal playing!!

Thank you Johnny, glad you like my songs!
Phenomenal!
Thanks, shame it got deleted first time round. Hopefully this one will stay!
damn im a rock guy and im drinking coffee in my mug in this fine morning with my trucker cap on and listening to some guitar chicken picking tone, nice!!!!!!
Haha thanks man. I'm a rock guy myself who, like yourself, found myself one day checking out some country players and realised it was actually pretty cool, so I spent a lot of time trying to learn how they do it and this is my attempt at being a country guy!
You're awesome man, you inspire me 😊😊😊 continue to work hard brother!! Idk how many times I come back to see you play 😂 anyways hope you have a good day bro😁
Thanks man, please keep coming back, helps my view count lol. And yes I'll continue to keep putting stuff, hopefully you'll like it!
You can really hear the Brent Mason influence in this one. Sounds great
Yep, definitely took a lot of inspiration from Brent Mason, just trying to keep up with him haha
Inspiring! Thank you
Thank you Freddy, glad you like it!
Wooooooow great!
Thanks Bruno!
That's how you do it !!
Thanks Glenn!
Jake the Machine!!! Damn. I don’t know if the world can handle this third iteration of awesomeness lolol
The world better it. It has no choice!
Reminds me of drinking RC cola, miss them days. So good, stuff kicks, your playing also.
Haha thanks, being from England I don't think I've ever had an rc cola, maybe I'll have to see if I can fine one...
Woooahh! Jake, that was ridiculous! Much respect to you sir.
Thank you very much Leeroy!
New and interesting. Thank you!
Thank you Jaymes!

Thank you Markus!
WOW BEAUTIFULL !
Thank you Eric!
Hell yeah!
Thank you sir!
You are incredible mate, I hear Steve Gaines !
Thank you, yes definitely a lot of southern rock influence here!
Ultra-tasty, especially those arpeggios at around 1:52 or so. I'll buy the CD in advance!
Thank you, glad you liked the arps, I'm a sucker for harmony guitars! And if I get round to making an album, thank you in advance for buying it!
You have got to be one of the most rounded gifted players I have ever heard in my life. Truly awesome. Brad Paisley look out. There's a new kid on the rise.
Thank you Floyd, that's very kind. We'll hopefully one day I'll get to jam with Brad, would be pretty cool. He'll see how many of his licks I've stolen haha.
@@JakeFaun Dude your awesome. I'm actually working on Brent Masons Hot Wired right now. Got the begining rif, wish me luck.
Thank you again man. Yes good luck with the, I leaned the main riff a while back gave up on the rest haha. Maybe one day I'll come back to it.
@@JakeFaun Isn't that what musicians do..Steal Steal lol..
@@floydwatson3290 I was playing the lead break on Name by Allen Jackson and I think Brent.Mason doing the lead. I heard something similar..found hot wired online and the acoustic 🎸intro on Name was very similar. I think Brent used similar licks on other works.
Love the pick guard
Thanks Stuart, yea it's nice!
Damn son! I been working on this style for years! Thanks for the kick in the ass, I needed that!
Thanks Paul, happy to kick you in the ass metaphorically!

I am Drummer But, in these days, I began to play country guitar.
So, I like your Guitar play style!
Well you'll have better timing than most guitarists as you already have good rhythm from drumming 👉
@@JakeFaun Thx! Anyway, I am very happy I could get comments from Super guitalist!!

Amazing playin my friend ...i just getting my first tele after 20 years of playin blues, rock ,metal and im going country..could you tell me some of your dearest tele puckups for country /rock,cheers!
Thank you! The pickups in this tele are Custom Shop, can't tell you exactly what type/model etc as I bought this guitar second hand, previous owner built it out of various parts. So these do the job for me!
Brilliant, Jake. Love it!
Thanks!
Damn, I guess he's still practicing, I hoping to catch up with him, but I had shoulder surgery. LMAO. Jake old buddy your the new king. Love y'all.
Thanks man!
Good afternoon. I'm from Brazil, and I would like to congratulate you for your channel and the videos.
Thank you Kleberson! It's always good to hear people are liking my music on the other side of the world!
Ja pierdole gość jest z Marsa :)
I have been trying to get this stye down but it is not easy! Amazing Jake! Glade I just subscribed!
Thanks for the sub Michael! Yea it takes some time learning this style, I started out only really playing rock but once I had a go at country it all clicked into place. I think it's actually easier than people realise once you get into it. I'm sure you'll find that too!
Sick playing as always man!
Thanks Tim!
👏👏
Appreciate you watching/listening!

Or the pointy gun at the end. Omg lolololol
I'm glad you noticed. Wouldn't want a fine finger point to go to waist.
Amazing as always! Great job my man
Thanks Joel!
YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I concur!
Ha..ha..you've done it again..welldone bro..👍👍👍
Hopefully I'll be able to keep them coming!
Any possibility of releasing these Fast Country tracks on Spotify?
You are so talented man!
Thank you! Perhaps I'll get them on Spotify at some point, probably a lot easier for people to listen to there compared to youtube. I have thought about doing an album or some songs without making them videos, for now though youtube is where everything is though!
@@JakeFaun thats very nice, man. I would absolutely love to listen to that album!
Do u know who hughie thommason was...he passed away 2017..leader of the outlaws..and 9 years for skynyrd...my favorite guitar player...jake faun.and hughie would create magic...together..if he was still around..thanks jake...
I didn't know the name but I know The Outlaws and Skynyrd of course. I'll have to go check him out, if he played for them I'm sure he was great. Shame he passed away.
Dang this is good! I'm going to start working on this this weekend. Thanks for the TAB and backing track on your Patreon page! Cheers Jake!
Thanks Jim, let me know if you have any questions. Hopefully the tab and backing track will help!
@@JakeFaun Cool! I just sent you an email about another backing track.
Greetings from "Across The Pond", Jake. This Yank is enjoying your chicken pickin'. Outstanding tone, timbre & technique! You should be knighted.
Cheers from the USA. (The Big Apple).
Thanks again Doug, I'm actually living across the pond with you, I'm currently in LA but yea I'm originally from the UK. Glad you're enjoying my videos, working on some more songs now, will put them up as soon as they're ready, busy with gigs right now so UA-cam has taken a backseat for the meantime!
Big Brad Paisley influence I hear. Wonderful playing.
Thank you! Yes Brad Paisley was one of the first country players I heard when I was getting into this style of playing, he's been a big influence on me.
Suena muy chingón...
i see the dancing ladies behind you
they look great::)
If only!

Thank you! 🤟
Great playing . How do I go about getting one on one lesson?
Thanks Dallas! Send me an email at jakefaunmusic@hotmail.co.uk so we can figure out some lessons!
Great job, Jake!
And again you gave me a positive mood for the whole day. Yes, I received your comments and the translator translated well. I hope mine too.
Jake, tell me please, how long have you been playing guitar and what is your method of studying melodies?
Thank you, I'm glad the translation works, yes I can understood you also! I've been playing for about 17 years I think. As for studying melodies, I would say learn lot's of songs, listen to other instruments than guitar and have a go at learning solos not on guitar. Try learning a saxophone solo on guitar for example, it'll give you some new ideas that aren't typical guitar licks, will make your playing more interesting. It's tough as there's no definite way to get better, a lot of it comes down to taste and what you like the sound of, what you like might differ from someone else etc. So I would say just follow what you like the sound of and try to play what you hear and how to get the sounds you hear in your head to come out of the guitar. I hope that helps!
Wow
I hope that's a good wow!
Jake Faun
Sure is awesome 👍🏻👍🏻 I’m Telecaster fan ❤️ and just started learning country but I’m only a newbie 😳😳😳😳 but so lucky found a country player and teacher in Sydney so 😀 heaps lucky
But yeah wow was 😀👍🏻
This is absolutely kick ass. I'm trying to get my fingers around this kind of stuff. Any sheet music, tab, suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks Tim, yea there's a fee useful sources out there. Brent mason's dvd nashville chops and western swing is supposed to be great though I've not watched it. Seen a few clips and it looks helpful. Otherwise there's loads of helpful tutorials here on youtube. That's where I go to learn new ideas and concepts usually. I can do Skype lessons also if that's something that would interest you?
@@JakeFaun Hi Jake, thank you for your response. I'm UK based so a Skype lesson could be tricky. Do you have an email or website and we can maybe arrange a lesson. Thanks
@@TimLoveguitar apologies for the delayed reply Tim. I'm from the UK too actually, though I've recently relocated to LA. Yes my email is jakefaunmusic@hotmail.co.uk if you want to contact me directly. Give me a message and I'm sure we can sort something out!
Somewhere John Jorgenson is tapping his feet to this!
Thanks John, I hope so!
Part 4 please 😊
I think you might be right, it could be about time for part 4 😏. In the meantime I've just put out a new song, bit of country/blues/rock vibe, let me know what you think (if you want to check it out).
Doug 7 ,Jonny Hilan ,Jake Faun
Haha that would be a great jam!
gosh ,man!!!
Thank you Jamie!
Great playing dude! Only a “Tele” can produce that sound though!
Thanks James, yep tele's are the best for this kind of playing!
Где Я был?!
Очень зажигательная вещь!
Большое спасибо!
This is awesome! Have you been influenced by Brad Paisley? He is one of my favorite guitarists, and you remind me somewhat of him.
Thank you! Yes Brad Paisley has been a huge influence, especially when I first started getting into country guitar, I bought all of his albums, his tone and phrasing was exactly what I was going for.
Hey this is great my brother are there any videos/books that show how to play this kind of music? Thank you.
Thanks Angel! Yea I'm sure there are plenty out there, although I mostly just picked this style up from watching and listening to a lot of great country players. Guys like Brent Mason, Vince Gil, Albert Lee, Danny Gatton, Brad Paisley, Johnny Hiland etc the list goes on! I know Brent Mason has a dvd called nashville chops and western swing guitar, I haven't watched it myself but he's one of the best so I'm sure his dvd will be good!
@@JakeFaun Hi Jake, thank you for responding! I will listen to as many people as I possibly can. I will out for that Brent Mason DVD. Thank you again.
You can check the lesson from Gatton, al his style basics in a few minutes. I've been working in this for the last month or two and is a hell of a fight. Speed up the rolls and steady Travis bass are so difficult. By the way Jake, you are awesome as a player and as a recorder, sounds nice in every aspect bud
Brilliant!!! Jesus, I just read you’re British! Fkssake it gets worse.
I am indeed a Brit. How I found myself playing country guitar is indeed a mystery.
How are you not famous?!
I guess the world isn't ready for fast country guitar yet! 😂
Just watched each of your three fast country songs in a row. Awesome! Still using the Dr. Z? I need to practice WAY more.
Thank you Nate, that means a lot! Regretfully I'm not using the Dr Z. I still have it but as I've recently moved to Los Angeles I've had to leave it back home in the UK. I'm currently using a Kemper Profiler which is pretty indistinguishable from a valve amp. But I do miss my Dr Z...
Jake Faun well, if you can’t have it, I suppose the Kemper is about as good of a number too as you can have!
@@NathanNagel yep I'm pretty pleased with it so I can't complain.
Just so you know ! i have reported you to NASA as i reckon you sneaked aboard when the Shuttle when the cargo bay doors were open me old mucker !
Can't blame a guy for trying!
Can you tell us what amp/effects you used to record this tune?
Great playing and style correct sound!
Thanks Max! I was playing through a Mesa Boogie for this song, I can't remember exactly which model. I was staying at my friends place when I recorded this so went through his amp. Recorded into my usual Pro Tools set up, little bit of processing in post, added some delay, compression etc. Kept it fairly simple though, I always feel with this style of playing, a good basic tone is all you need, then hopefully with decent playing it'll sound great. Not sure if I acheived that haha.
@@JakeFaun Thanks for the info and you definitely achieved sounding just right.
Você é muito bom
Que pegada!!

Don't know if I can top Danny Gatton's beer bottle slide solo's!
I’m curious. Are you part of a band?
I'm actually playing with David Lee Roth right now. So I'm not doing much country but I'll do some more when back from tour!
Jake Faun wow, hell of a gig. You are very talented, and it’s cool that you respond to these things.

Thank you Leo, I'm a big fan of Vince Gill and Brent Mason thank you. Always nice to hear from France!
please you can send me country fast 4 tablatura
Hey Pepe, send me an email and I'll send you the tab!
Oye jake que pedales usas para sacar ese sonido gracias
Eu uso um wampler unidade Paisley, compressor xotic sp e é sobre isso! Tudo o resto vem do amplificador e guitarra. Eu acho que o amplificador que eu estava usando para essa gravação era um boogie mesa-recto verbo 25. Espero que isso tenha ajudado você!
Jake Faun tku for your answer i did not understand that language lol
🤣😂
@@luigicapola9373 Ah apologies! Google translate told me it was Portuguese, I'm guessing that wasn't the case! Here's what I meant to say; I use a wampler Paisley drive, xotic sp compressor and that’s about it! Everything else comes from the amp and guitar. I think the amplifier I was using for this recording was a recto-verb 25. Sorry about the translation error, hopefully this makes more sense!
Jake Faun ha ha ha !!! 😂😂 that is spanish.
Anyway tku again for the inf. And the answer
I don't know why, but you remind me of hughie thomasson
Thank you, I need to check out The Outlaws more.
