I agree. I had the vinyl bootleg of this 10 or 11 years before it was released. It was titled "Grateful Dead Hot as Hell" I almost fainted when I heard this "Franklins Tower" on the radio in 1990 or 91. I went right out and bought the CD. Now I have the MP3.

Paradise waits On the crest of a wave her angels in flame
    She has no pain
Like a child she is pure, she is not to blame
Poised for flight, wings spread bright
Spring from night into the sun
    Don't stop to run
She can fly like a lie, she can't be outdone
    Tell me the cost
I can pay, let me go, tell me love is not lost
    Sell everything
Without love day to day, insanity's king
I will pay, day by day
    Anyway, lock, bolt and key
    Crippled but free
I was blind all the time I was learning to see
    Help on the way
Well I know only this, I've got you today
    Don't fly away
'Cause I love what I love and I want it that way
I will stay, one more day
Like I say, honey, it's you
    Making it too
Without love in the dream it'll never come true

    Slipknot!

    In another times forgotten space
Your eyes looked from your mother's face
Wildflower seed on the sand and stone
May the four winds blow you safely home
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
I'll tell you where the four winds dwell
In Franklin's tower there hangs a bell
It can ring, turn night to day
It can ring like fire when you loose your way
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
God save the child that rings that bell
It may have one good ring, baby, you can't tell
One watch by night, one watch by day
If you get confused, listen to the music play
Some come to laugh their past away
Some come to make it just one more day
    Whichever way your pleasure tends
If you plant ice you're gonna harvest the wind
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
In Franklin's tower the four winds sleep
Like four lean hounds the lighthouse keep
Wildflower seed on the sand and wind
May the four winds blow you home again
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
You'd better roll away the dew
    Roll away the dew
You better roll away the dew (roll away)
    Roll away the dew
You better roll away the dew (roll away)

Yes and it really was by invitation only. Record execs and the like. It was supposedly their way of introducing the album and I'm guessing their return from hiatus although they really didn't ramp up long tours for a year a two after this. There is also a funny story (In Billy's book) about Billy Kruetzman and a friend racing through the Bay area back to Billy's house after the gig reaching like a hundred MPH. They are lucky they didn't kill themselves.

This show definitely has the definitive Help / Slip / Franklin's, Sugaree, and Crazy Fingers.
I may prefer the Help / Slip / Franklins and the Eyes of the World from 5/22/77 (Penbroke Pines, Dick's Picks 3), but this is probably the "best".
