As long as you know how to solve a 4x4, using basic logic, you can solve a 50x50, it'll just take multiple days if done straight.
Look up a solve of the 33x33, which is currently the largest order cube in the world.

This is absolutely mesmerizing, and even though the way the ai is done is inefficient, I enjoyed it simply for the sake that you actually taught the A.I. how to solve it like a human being. Bravo good sir. Your work is simultaneously hilariously jank and overall impressive at the same time.

I couldn't agree more with you on this, I'm so glad that as stated in the title an artificial intelligence was trained to solve a gigantic rubiks cube, despite how one could simply implement an algorithm that solves rubiks cubes, I'm glad he didn't click bait with the title and went the extra mile to create an ai!

@@memediatek This video was not created before AI meant neural network to most people. Just because ChatGPT wasn't out doesn't mean we weren't doing this. Neural networks (and large language models, it's just that ChatGPT wasn't out) hit mainstream popularity in 2016, and the AI revolution where people started using deep learning started way back in 2012.
EDIT: There was deep learning before this, but 2012 is when it took off in academia, and by 2016 everyone who wanted to train a neural network was doing it. Tensorflow released in 2015.

There will probably be a problem with that, since it's very hard to decide how far away from a solved cube the AI got on its turn. The other option of optimizing for speed is incredibly time consuming, with the first generation needing someone to solve the cube with ONLY RANDOM MOVES. A rubriks cube just needs way too much foresight for a neural network to find the algorithms on its own.
