The robots would likely scrap our calender in exhange for one that counts planck time since the start of the universe. It would be more usefull to an AI, and would be more accurate over long spans of time.
@@arrtes6479 That still has issues with relativity. - In programming, we already use those (but counting multiples of cesium atom oscitations instead, so the numbers are not too huge) -- BUT: It has the issues, that different clocks can still run at different speeds, so what they would _actually_ replace the calendar with is something that also includes the motion of the clock, because when you are moving, you lose some direction in time, to some direction in the spatial dimensions... - How they would do it, I have no idea, but they are smart bois. ^^

Maybe they'd find it easier if collision with other planes wasn't possible and the ground was the only thing they had to avoid?
This! Since the AI wont even be able to see other planes much of the time, it's kinda dumb to leave it on
Yeah, I really don't get why he put that in there! Seems like it would just confuse the AI and slow down the whole process.
That was the only thing I could think about while watching. When the AI is flying normal and suddenly it gets crashed by a plane it didnt see, it maybe thinks it did something wrong.
@@CardWizard-zz4uq It did do something wrong, it got hit by another plane. Gotta learn to abuse the physics engine to avoid it.
@@joshuacollins385 But the thing is that the AI doesn't know in input where the other airplanes are, so there's no way to take into account that information when making the decision
Plot twist: This isnt an ai learning to fly. This is actually Code Bullet playing and he is bad at it.
I’m not even gonna ask how many generations this took...
Well, I guess how many rounds of training, since it doesn’t exactly have generations.
I thought he wasn't using NEAT 🤔
@@aetherwebdev3620 he’s using a similar algorithm, where they learn after each flight and all combined planes share the skill they’ve trained up.
@@KingOfTheRoost honestly it didn't feel like much progress was made by the ai, after it stopped crashing it didn't feel like it got much better, was that something with the code?
@@KingOfTheRoost PPO doesn't have "generations" though, as it isn't a genetic algorithm. You could see the training steps as "generations" but they're not the same thing. All planes are indeed sharing experience and so the same network controls every plane (seperately)
@@lucassvedlund3851 Personally I'm actually surprised he got results this quickly since in my experience this can take a while. Just like with everything, initial progress is pretty fast but finetuning takes ages. You've probably noticed this with school/work projects as well. Also keep in mind that the planes have limited observations and probably can't see the other planes unless they're lucky. The planes also probably don't have memory and only see one frame.
