    On seeing the title, I spent a whole 30 seconds trying to understand what and how unRAID may digest, and wondering what it may not digest. English language is fantastic.

      It would be more appropriate to say: The Unraid Digest--May 2024. But, well, "content creators." 😒

      @@BenWolkWeiss that is talking about cache pools and adding more drives to them that is different' i am asking about the unraid array it self like where you can add one drive at a time with parity we are suppose to be getting a way to have multiple unraid arrays as well in unraid 7 that is what they said in the interview
      and me and many others have requested this feature for 3 to 5 years many times they voted on it and we where told it is on the way and then they pushed bug fixes for V6.11 then they skipped us again and added ZFS for V6.12 then where told the rest of ZFS for V6.13 Then they change things and say we will have it in V7 i really would like to know if we are ever going to get it or not :) i'm not trying to be mean or rude or anything, i just don't have access to the betas so i cant test it on my own to find out so i have to ask more questions and hope someone knows

      @@IEnjoyCreatingVideos You mean what TrueNAS has had for, uhmmm 14 years? (I'm only going back to FreeNAS v8 which was one of the best releases with features after ixSystems "took it over.") I mean if you WANT a real NAS system, which is nearly bullet-proof, and had ZFS and multi-pools as it's base since inception, it has existed. And I hate to say what's obvious, but Free/TrueNAS has delivered on-time their promises. And they "spawned" OpenMediaVault, NAS4Free, and influenced a LOT of other NAS systems. I've run them all--Enterprise NAS "hardware systems," FreeNAS, unRAID, NAS4Free, OMV, TrueNAS Core/Scale, and my home grown Linux NAS. I've 800TB running on TrueNAS. so yeah, I'm invested in it I guess. And yet I DESPERATELY want unRAID to get better. Stronger. Faster. Able to leap tall pools in a single....

    TrueNAS is the best NAS. Hands down. Period.

      Just use the tool that works best for you! Except of course, if that tool is Windows.

      You didn't include the additional phrase 'Full-Stop' and/or Multiple-Exclamations !!!! ... so I can only assume that you are not 100% certain of your statement 🤷 #TryBeingMoreConfidentInYourAssertions 😉
      I'm guessing you really meant to say that TrueNAS is another good alternative if your use-case and personal preferences aren't for Unraid ✅👍😁

      @DerekGreen123 I am proficient in multiple NAS systems!!! I have been a customer AND AND user of TrueNAS for a VERY LONG TIME!!! There's nothing more stable and resilient. HANDS DOWN!!! Full-Stop😃

      It's great if you care about speed and bit rot protection but Unraid is better when it comes to expansion and if you want hardware transcoding for a media server application. I understand you can expand Truenas by adding a vdev to your pool but that comes at the cost of doubling the amount of parity disks while still having the same parity level per vdev. If I wanted proper bit rot protection I could install the snapraid plugin and switch my parity to that.

    Sounds like a pyramid scheme to me.

      @ikkuranus Місяць тому

      Let me get this straight. You think all affiliate programs are pyramid schemes?
      The one major difference would be that people are buying into said scheme with the false promise of getting a return. When you buy something from someone's affiliate link you are buying a real product with no additional cost to yourself.
      Lastly, it's likely you don't even have to own Unraid to participate in this affiliate program. (though I'd imagine your chances of actually getting a payout would be higher if you do)
