Rita, as I have tried to point out in the description and in other comments, they are doing something that is more difficult than it appears. Brenda is singing one song, "Big Boss Man" while Johnny is singing another one, "Bad News".
No se inglés pero me encanta sus canciones las e buscado en español y son bonitas me deleitó como podría mis notificaciones y que me mandarán en español todo sobre ella era pura dinamita
Thanks for your promotion of this vid. If you care, here are the originals: Boss man: ua-cam.com/video/Dd-o_kLONVI/v-deo.html Bad News ua-cam.com/video/0cDT2XsGgL0/v-deo.html As you can hear , it took some doin' for them to merge the two songs.
Brenda Lee toured with Johnny Cash in the mid 70s. Saw them in a great show in Indianapolis, along with Mel Tillis, Statler Brothers, June Carter, Carl Perkins and an early tour of one of my favorites, Ronnie Milsap. This is posting under my son's name, don't know why. He wasn't born until much later!!
Thanks for the info. I didn't know about that tour, but it doesn't surprise me. Johnny says at the beginning of this show that he didn't plan to have very many guests back for a second appearance, but Brenda was so great in her first show in March that she was invited right back for this appearance in May.
Thanks ... Isn''t a guitar an octave lower than a piano? I seem to recall that from somewhere in the past that the low C on guitar is -8 notes relative to the middle C on piano.
Hey thanks .. Nice post! I love them both. I'm not sure that Johnny got lost - I think it's just that nice laid back, informal style he had - It all worked out.
I love both Brenda Lee and JR Cash----I love to sing Big Boss Man via the Charlie Rich version and I have JR Cash's Bad News on my ipod-----two classy hall of famers .....
How did this duet come about? My theory: On Jul 12, 1969, Jeannie C. Riley sang Bad News with Johnny on the fifth episode of the show. Jeannie did not sing another song like Brenda does here, just some lines and she made lighthearted remarks about how "bad" he was. I have the feeling that Brenda Lee saw that show and thought the beat of "Big Boss Man" would mesh perfectly with "Bad News". And the next season, she got her chance. Well, I don't know for sure, but maybe....
Cash did cultivate an image. "The man in black". Tall with dark thick hair. Dyed and eventually a hairpiece. The heels fit in with that. John Wayne was similar.
You simply won't find a cuter bundle of fun than Brenda.
She's the very best!
Brenda Lee is just a Amazing Piece of God given talent
I never heard this song. Love Brenda Lee, and loved Johnny Cash. Anyone else think that he looks very handsome in this video clip?
He's just tall, that's all!
He was incredibly handsome!!
And I am only 30 years old.
Yes , he was pretty handsome!
Brenda Lee , Johnny cash I love . ❤
I own music by Johnny Cash❤And I watch Brenda on UA-cam. I had no idea they did this😂so long ago, Brenda is trending to excellent music in my 📕 book!
Brenda Lee is always fun and for some reason, surprising. Must be that size. Good on Johnny Cash, asking her on his show. Class up the joint.
ANG GANDA NI BRENDA LEE AT ANG GALING NG BOSES
Just love her voice.
Love the 2 of them together, on this song!!

My favorite. I love this one!!
Interesting video. I like both singers, especially Brenda: little girl-big voice.
Thanks for posting.
Brenda Lee is only 4feet 7inches tall! Amazingly powerful voice for someone so small!
She is a little over 4' 9".
Johnny hitting them bass notes easily.
dude its nuts
Johnny's low note is a C.... oh my.... 4 notes lower than the lowest note on a standard tuned guitar.
Thanks ... Isn''t a guitar an octave lower than a piano? I seem to recall that from somewhere in the past that the low C on guitar is -8 notes relative to the middle C on piano.
@@MostlyBrenda That sounds about right. I learned how to sing with a piano but I forgot all of the octave numbers 😂
fab
Seule Brenda Lee peut reprendre des chansons d'Elvis, avec sa voix, qui est surprenante de clarté. Merci à vous, et à notre regrèté Johnny Cash
Amei muito linda abfa ocazo
I love Leon Russell´s cover of this song. This I ´ve heard a first time. And It ´s great too!! OOOh!! Johnny is a man!! And she is cute!!
Hey thanks .. Nice post! I love them both. I'm not sure that Johnny got lost - I think it's just that nice laid back, informal style he had - It all worked out.
@TechNed - Yes, you're right. All of it feels very natural!
I love both Brenda Lee and JR Cash----I love to sing Big Boss Man via the Charlie Rich version and I have JR Cash's Bad News on my ipod-----two classy hall of famers .....

awww shes so short xD
This rules
Lee is bigger than Cash
Ha ha she's short

Why did Johnny Cash wear heels when Brenda Lee is so short? Looks awkward
Cash did cultivate an image. "The man in black". Tall with dark thick hair. Dyed and eventually a hairpiece. The heels fit in with that. John Wayne was similar.
Why does she remind me of Reba here?
Brenda Lee was a dwarf
@danieltinoco8466
What a Degrading Word to say , Brenda Lee is 4 feet 9 inches . She's shorter than average But She is Not a Dwarf.
😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Sounds like she's saying big balls man.
Is someone using a weed eater making this video.
