      @@TrinityWilderness1 Have u timed this car? It's not F-1 or NASCAR and never was supposed to be. I tell U that I can get up from zero to interstate speeds as good as most cars. The electric motor and gas engine work at the same time to boost acceleration. Oh and a heck of a lot better than 6 miles to a gallon.🏎⛽

      LE Hybrid will give you better gas mileage than the other Camry Hybrid models.
      That's what I'm getting.
      With the upgraded suspension over previous years, you don't really need the SE or XSE.

    I own this car. If you do a fair amount of highway driving don’t expect 50+ MPG. It doesn’t like the highway MPG wise. Rides great on the highway though. Although regular driving conditions you can get 55+ MPG.
    Plenty of power, remote start (they don’t disclose this but it has it), great base option, good looks, comfy, and pretty quiet. Good car overall. My wife is getting an SUV so I got rid of my Honda Passport and bought this for a commuter car. I’m pretty happy overall with my purchase. No buyers remorse.

      US Spec. I get 53.4 in eco mode with mostly highway 75+ MPH. In normal I get high 51’s. When I wrote the review the car wasn’t broken in. MPG is much better now.
      Best car I’ve owned. Rides great and is quiet. 50+ MPG in all driving situations.

    I also have a 2022 SE hybrid. The weight difference to the LE is only 50 lbs. The big difference between the two that impacts mileage is the tire patch on the ground and rolling resistance.

      It’s ridiculous. Almost every Camry I find on CarGurus has “added options” built into the price that jack the price up. Subaru dealers started doing this as well… just give me a stock car, as is, from the factory and let me decide what I want.

    everyone equates "battery life" to mileage.
    what about age? what if I only drive 4-5000 miles a years, will it last 20 years?

    • @landshass2849
      @landshass2849 2 роки тому +11

      5000 miles a year is not worth getting a hybrid in the first place. Just do the math.

    • @alanyu7732
      @alanyu7732 2 роки тому +4

      no you don’t know how batteries work huh? even if you don’t use it much, it’ll continue to degrade. sometimes even faster. you’ll have somebody driving a car 5,000 miles a year whose battery won’t last as long as somebody who drives 15,000 miles a year. basically you have to drive it enough, but not too much to maximize the battery lifespan. and you’ll want to drive for at least 10-15 minutes. driving longer durations allows the battery to continuously drain and regenerate. you don’t want to keep the battery full or too low for too long as that can also accelerate degradation.

    Why can’t they get more then 50 mpg? The Prius has been getting that for the last 15 years? I’m surprised they haven’t hit 75 mpg yet!!! Why are they stuck at the 50 mpg???

    • @AnimeHumanCoherence
      @AnimeHumanCoherence 2 роки тому +5

      Weight, aerodynamics, and just physics. The car internal combustion engine is reaching it's efficiency limit. Cars from 20 - 30 years ago were getting 25 - 30 mpg already. There's only so much more to streamline.

    • @ainjuhl4509
      @ainjuhl4509 2 роки тому +1

      It’s hybrid that’s why and not a plug-in hybrid, a prius does get more because it’s either a plug in or all electric.
