      @@josevilabella I have seen many centuries in HK (and can appreciate them), the point is that sedans... Neither Cullinan will be a Phantom VI nor Century suv will be a 2005 Century Royal. They both are short of one meter lenght, yet with pretentiously shaped rear hatches alluding to state limousines but in fact resembling Tx4 or Toyota JPN. You either make an SUV like escalade, or a London/Hk/Tokyo taxi.

      @@Mastana7 But the design of the Century SUV actually almost 90% follows the design of the Century Sedan, where the design of the Century Sedan has not changed drastically since the 60s, especially the shape of the grill, while the Rolls Royce had a different design when it was still in the 60s when compared to now. Even the design of the lights is very similar between the SUV and sedan versions, the difference is that in the SUV version the four LEDs are separated into 4 parts but it looks like a 2008 Toyota Velfire (remember that the split headlight design on the Genesis actually just imitates the light design from the Toyota alphard in 2008)

They're more spacious, more comfortable, more versatile, more efficient, easier to drive and park, easier to get into and out of, etc etc... But people sacrifice all that for the trendy SUV... @@rrmetalbox4969 It has not even been in actual production yet, and you believe that this new model will outclass existing models in reliability? Also, have you ever heard of any multi - millionaire's sobbing about the reliability issues of their Rolls Royce or Cadillac & their inability to maintain it? LOL.... Also, would you prefer to arrive in a 'Toyota' or in a 'Rolls Royce' if you're a multi millionaire? Brand images matter a lot at this price point.

    This is indeed a really great car ☺
    BUT I don't feel it is suitable to compare it with a RR. Why ? Simply look at the price difference between them.
    A proper comparison should be, for example, a GLS, Range Rover, or even a Maybach.

    Can't say i like it, they took the simplistic yet luxurious century and turned it into a american showboaty SUV, essentially going against the original principle of the century which was based on luxury and class but in discretion since the Japanese didn't like to flaunt wealth. Clearly this is now marketed more towards a western market then the Japanese one.

    • @느낌표-t1l
      @느낌표-t1l Рік тому

      @dcon8602 what platform is being shared matters a lot. Lexus LS was based on Toyota Celsior which was already based on a rwd luxury platform. This 200k usd Century suv is made out of a modified camry platform.

    • @느낌표-t1l
      @느낌표-t1l Рік тому

      @dcon8602 quality is good, the spec isn't. It is like making a $200 dish with a non-fresh, $5 cheap meat. Lexus is acceptable with minor prce difference, but making Century, which is supposed to be higher than any lexus with a camry frame is not acceptable.
