This is why you're my favorite angler you really go out of your way to teach others about bass fishing. Thanks Jacob.
Great ideas I have not thought about the heavy spinnerbait. Hopefully I can find some time this month to try it with doing this kitchen remodeling. Thanks Larry Tucker
I’ve been slaying bass on a curly tail grub. Im on vacation and all I have is a spinning rod and the grubs we’re cheap, I need to start using grubs more. Great job in Guntersville!
Dude I literally watched this video went outside at the lake and caught a 2 pounder on a big worm. thanks wheeler
I love this style of video! That rod, reel and tackle is your real power tool and catching fish is how you keep the lights on.
You’re on top of your game and no man can argue that.
Thank you for sharing and may your success in this sport continue to grow!
Great video. Love the addition of using the map. Thanks
Keep doing map breakdowns! Maybe some East Tennessee river system lakes. Thanks for all the info
For big worms like the Zoom Ol' Monster Junebug works best for me here in central NC.
Best Bass fisherman on the plant and he gives us sounds of the baits when is describes them, gotta love it.
I mainly use a zoom mag2 or a ole monster in purple, any plum color, june bug blue, red bug, & California craw, but the big worm works especially in grass, great video!🎣👍
Great video, Jacob. Always enjoy seeing your content.
Love the sound effects we as fisherman use lol thump thump thump, thaaaa swack! lol
thanks for shouting out the north, its tough up here for us in the smaller lakes and ponds.
Inside the mind of bass fishing mad scientist. Amazing and insightful. I truly love watching you talk bass, you are so passionate and have honed your skill set. Great job as always man.
Yo Brody, congratulations on the new trophy man! This is probably my favorite video that you have done, I love the map breakdown! Good luck with the rest of the season, tight lines 🎣
Thanks for sharing not only the baits but also where to fish them. Now I have more confidence in where and how to fish these baits.
Thank you for all your info you give us! I don’t have a ton of time to spend on the water so it helps narrow it down and loved seeing you show different areas on the map. Keep it up, and congrats on the win!
I love wheeler talking about Indiana, and Geist. I fish it, it’s muddy. We’re not always in line with a lot of the common channels season wise. Love it wheely
My left ear really enjoyed this video!
Your best video brother! Love hearing how you break the lake down and what baits you would throw! Great job! Look forward to more of the same!
Your shop would drive me CRAZY. Thanks for the video
Thanks for the tips,I can use all the help I can get on the wise and schooled bass around nashville tn.
Man this is a fantastic video. Lots of great info, goes from some very surface level concepts to some that are very in depth. Awesome video, keep it up.
Really good video. Thanks Jacob.
I know most of these videos are talking about largemouth. I would love to see a bait break down for different species like a spot and smallmouth as well. Awesome video and your tips always help!
A great vid and a very awesome breakdown of lures and the lay of the lake. Keep up the good work on the tournament trail . Much respect from Japan
Jacob,
that was most kick ass informative video I've seen. Thanks !
Wonderful information. Thank you so much 😊
This was a very interesting video. Thank u so much. I really appreciate the map break down it really made me open my options. Keep them coming
Interesting bit about the lake you covered it Choke Canyon, Texas Lake is my home lake. It's down 24', really challenging with all the tournaments and gators. Yep, gators and big ones.
JW super selection of baits. Thanks for sharing 🎣 👍
Great video. Thanks for the suggestions.
Great video. Really like the map breakdowns. Congratulations on the Guntersville win.
Great informative video man! Thanks!
Great info thank you Jacob
Thanks for info and the lake breakdown was a bonus.
Great info. Much appreciated.
This is one of my top 3 videos from you and maybe from anyone, keep it up! As a new angler and not having someone to mentor me, this really helps me to think about how to approach my lake. I would love to see a video on points. There is only one really defined point in my lake and it ends in 50ft of water which seems to deep to me. I have heard guys at the dock say there are many points in my lake but nothing that is really obvious to me.
There must be more to it than the obvious points and ones that the UA-cam videos show that are I a nice 12ft of water.
I peg, AND toothpick the worm/hook eye!!! An old school tech that many replaced with screw ons that tear the worms up.
Great video, map breakdown was great. Would love to see video of how you graphed Guntersville and what you were looking for besides fish. Congratulations on your win at Guntersville.
Great job thanks for sharing your thoughts and knowledge keep up the great work
I use a straight shank and skin hook it or a Eagle Claw 295 JBL and always torque the point up a little bit. Plus if i bought everything you guys said to use my damn boat would sink! 😂
Good stuff. What I like as a AMATEUR, is how you explain stuff. Have to imagine that 98% of us are fishing in a non-competitive environment. We're just looking for some advice. We DO ride your tournament victories though! Love your buddies (MD, DC) as well. Thanks so much for recording and posting. Appreciate ya!!!
Thanks for the good info JW!
Think a lot for information very helpful
Here in New Brunswick Canada our smallmouth spawn in May and June. I am a riverbank fisherman here in Fredericton New Brunswick.
Awesome video thanks for the info...
June bug is one of my favorite colors
Jacob great tips as always. I agree with you on the worms Texas rigged or wacky rigged, they both work well. I have experimented in my area on colors, brands and types of worms and nothing in my area of South Florida beats a green pumpkin Yamamoto senko. I prefer 7” for Texas rigged, 6” for wacky rigged and 5” neko rigged with a 1/32 oz nail weight.
Big worms and buzztoads, my favorite time of year. I like Tx Rig, but I also love to fish a big worm on a shaky head personally.
Great information. Good job.
Awesome video thanks
Awesome job Mr. Wheeler. Thank you for make me a better angler.
Appreciate the videos full of great info we've fished Kentucky lake the last two weekends Son landed a 6.7lb First weekend but we got skunked the second
Thank you Jacob!
Jacob thanks for your input. When did the hurricane hit your garage. Love the mess, looks like a Bass Head lives here!
Yep up here in northeast. Full blown spawn. Fish on beds and some fry guarders, fun way to fish. Can either get them to bite or not …. Wish I had access to bodies of water like that. Lakes, ponds by me or max 5’ and black mud / leaf bottoms
Great addition to your videos
Thanks for the video.
Tha big G! Let’s goooo! I’m bank fishing!
Big worm always makes me think of that dude from Friday 😂
Jay wheel (farm pond) start rockin Jordan’s on the boat. Try and get a jordan sponsorship that would be so dope
That Bruised Citrus Shad Rocco is awesome!
Tequila sunrise? What your thoughts?
Great job thank you
What I would enjoy and learn so much is just to go fishing as a co angler with you
Wheeler may not be my favorite for a couple reasons. However he has my upmost respect and this is probably his best most informative video I've seen. Lots of key bits of post spawn info right there. Well done sir
U had to add that 1st part in there, huh?
Congrats man! Just got my first tournament win... And thx for these lil nuggets hidden in these videos. Don't really watch UA-cam for tips, but you're the damn best so gotta listen
What plug u using for beyond 20' since rapala doesn't make one?
It has been super hot up north actually. The lakes I fish have already been through the spawn stage. Lots of 80-85 degree days so far has heated that water up so fast
ok here is a tip
on big worms
use plum apple
red weight red hook then then here is juice
put 2 beads red also
now while in brush are point u can shake the rod... them beads will make a ton of noise
just hint
Shhhh about the blue fleck Jacob please 😂
Great information! I’m curious what colors you’d suggest in the DT series. Been thinking about adding a full set, but not sure where I’d start color wise.
Culprit pumpkin blue flake and green pumpkin blue flake are my go to colors.
Love the sound effects
Blue fleck is the most underrated color of ole monster
Hey, U get up here by Geist again would love to be your caddy! lol If that doesn't work I can come down there and pick up around the shop, looks a little ignored, not that mine isn't!! Love the vids and MDJ rate the bait! Y'all are very funny to watch, especially DC who is ALWAYS eating! Anyways keep doing what y'all are doin!
Absolutely blows my mind how you figure this stuff out. These maps and contours and stuff are like a foreign language to me. Can't figure it out. I just show up and fish....lol.
Like the map instructions
Great video
So far, I have really enjoyed the Redline hooks. I bought some of the finesse neko, and drop shot. Not sure if it is just where I purchased them, but I did not see a short shank wacky hook. I throw the gamakatsu finesse wide gap, I’m looking for something similar.
you forgot June Bug and a 5/0 trokar hook on a 7 inch fat max Culprit or 10 inch or with my 12 inch jelly worm i use the 11/0 Owner big worm big hook it works but i always got another texas rig set up with a 3/0 Gama hook with a Missle bait d bomb it works when they don't want the big worm and catch lot's of big fish with that plain ol d bomb in super bug color green pumpkin on one side of the bait and blue flake on the other side the best on the market in my book but i do like dragging a worm when i'm tired of that i'll jig a d bomb up n down like a crawfish pop it up let fall n sit a few then bounce off the bottom again n let it fall to the bottom again but usually you'll be caught one in just a minute or less or there's no fish there for sure , i thought i could out fish ol Wheeler but he's got a way with fish i've seen him in action
Blue fleck is the deal on the Berkeley power worm
Help us smallmouth river fishing guys out like up here in PA!
So, everything in the tackle box
😆
Love the map help me out a lot
Good stuff, especially for us indiana boys
Best post spawn video ever
My left ear enjoyed this video
Do you use braid with your jigs and Texas rig baits
The only thing I really do different and I get great hook ups is using a straight shank heavy hook but I skin hook the big worm and rarely miss one.
What line size do you throw the big worm on?
Right now michigan smallmouth is hot on beds loving every second. Where did that map come from. Im always looking for maps
What is your favorite bass fishing lake in indiana? I grew up fishing patoka lake but heard it's just a shell of what it once was.
That poor boat on your right has become a shop catch all 😢if she was mine we’d be tearing up Tuesday nighters on pickwick!
You speed crank in dirty water as well? Like, 1' visibility.
Great tips. Congrats on the win boss! I’m interested in purchasing an autographed jersey of yours to add to my collection. Please help me out. Very big fan.
hey big man
DO A WALK AROUND THE NEW PLACE ( BOATS BAITS SO ON)
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im sure you know this J Wheeler but.... Scuppernong Blue or Scuppernong Royal Zoom 10.5 ol monster Kills !!!
Do one for Cayuga or owasco lake and ny lures 😂
