I read that new sound is Brian on an modified acoustic set up to sound like a sitar. I'm sure others will add more to correct or amend my comment. It's very cool how Freddie places emphasis on his lyrics. Thanks

Thx, Sassy! I love this mellow gem very much.
As far as I know, his love life had many ups and downs in the late 70's, it had much to do with fidelity, as he wasn't and his lover(s) also weren't. He never could really believe he could be loved as himself, not as the star he was, so he continued to put it to the test, which caused a lot of turmoil.
Same era, same topic, and also a wonderful song is "My Melancholy Blues". Jazzy feel.
