Thank you I was wondering all of this
Thanks sensei👍👍👍👍
i'm a filipino Karateka, and i knew there really has been something that is off with how my karate teachers are using the terms..when i started researching the right terms years ago and their right usage, i sounded professional but to them, i appeared to be a heretic..learning it from an actual japanese karateka, really helps a lot..great informative content as always..first video that i saw from this page was regarding the correct pronunciation of Kata names.👊🏼😊
isn't it philipino?
Excellent knowledge
Thank you so much.😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Highly recommended ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you very much for the lesson. This judoka really appreciates it, as many of the words are used in judo as well. Now, if only someone did something similar for the specific terminology of judo as well it would be awesome. :)
You are very welcome!
very helpful, thanks!

Lol, the kumite was amazing
Good
Im frm india in this Video Excellent🙏
Very useful...Arigato gozaimashita... When you call your class for warmup what do you say? I appreciate sharing with us...
I think this video is excellent. Why don't you do videos regularly on every day use of words and sentences in the Japanese language and society that aren't necessarily having to do with Budo. The format you use in having the words written and spelled out and then pronouncing them is fantastic! Please consider my request/suggestions !!
I recognise some of these but in our tournament Wazari is 1 point Ipon is 2 point and a sweep is 3 points
I see. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Hii how are you
Do you have explaining the new wkf rules 2023
I notice when doing the referee voice, you omit the "u" ending in the word. For example, when saying "sei retsu", it sounds like "sei rets". When switching back to your normal voice, you include the "u" sound at the end. What's the difference and when would you add the "u" at end and when would it be silent?
thanks sensai
Sensei oss,
Which mistKe are comes in cat 1 and cat 2
Are you going to make videos about Olympics Tokyo 2020?
Hopefully when the tournament gets closer!
Sensei osu, what word do we say when the fighter do not fight each other ??
I am still a brown 1st kyu and when my mates were fighting they told me to be judge and I was nervous as hell as our sensei and senpai's were watching too. But I slayed it and don't know how
❤
When I do competitions Hansoku Chui would be a straight disqualification.
Btw what does ‘atoni yoni’ mean cos that’s what they say as the first warning
Oss
Please make new video for WKF new rules (2023 updated version) for kumite & kata Referee and Judge Theory and practical with action DEMO

Konnichiwa, Sensei. I have a language question for you. A long time ago I was in a Kata competition and the centrai referee used to say a word to allow me to enter the tatami after my first bow on the line. No sure about the spelling but the sound was something like "nagaemi" or "nakaemi" apparently meaning you can enter the competition place. I never heard it again after that occasion. Could you please explain and remind me? Domo arigato.
Probably "nakae". It means "to the inside (of the tatami).
数年前、ある外国からの主審は「判定」を言おうとしたが、「ヘンタイ」って大声で言ってしまった。みんな笑い出した。
I must have sucked to be that person haha
More traditional (non-sports karate) matches are only 1 point matches. Waza ari is half a point and ippon is one point.
red:nothing blue:oh no not his gain also blue🏃
Why is Matte not used instead of Yame?
Is there a variant where an ippon would be 1 point ? a nihon 2 point and a sanbon 3 ?
I don't think so!
It was practised before 10 ten years ago, if I'm not mistaken
I hope this question is not stupid; But I would like to know what is the most common language used in Karate? Is it regional specific, so therefore no primary language is universally used, or is it a universal language, perhaps from the region of Karate's origin or East Asia, even Okinawa? (Which, I am not very smart in this area, but I presume is Japanese? )
Japanese yes
You say you're 23 years old so what does a 30 year student refer to you as since sensei means "one who comes before" or person born before another"
Please WKF Tournament Kumite Referee and judge full action Video latest 2021 WKF New rule
Pl check the spelling of each word
Does the color blue cause pain to japanese people? It sure sounds like it does.
3:47 🤔
Chukoku is the first warning. If you hit someone hard or something like that, the refree will give you a warning saying 'Chukoku' if you haven't got any warning before and if it's your first warning
@@FionaHaelion yeah i know but it sounds kinda sus
Really appreciable but some spelling mistakes.
Oh sorry...
Please can you add correct spellings.
And never say just ‘geri’ to say kick, right ;)
That is also true!
Some spell mistakes sen shu. Platers)etc...
Some editing errors... Senei
All I can say is Hante (decision) in not the same as Hentai...trust me, it happens
Lol I would never want to be in that situation
@@KarateDojowaKu let’s just say, it’s a very awkward conversation to have with someone mid tournament. Lol
uhmm you spelled, players differently
That was my mistake! Thank you for pointing it out
Karate Dojo waKu I just made that comment to get a reply from u hehehe
This is the part i dislike of some tournaments
Haha
sorry but too many typos...
