    My AC200Max would always have a wildly fluctuating state of charge, especially in the cold. Sometimes it would "lose" 90% of the battery overnight!
    My solution was just to never let it turn off. I leave the DC output on all the time. The self-discharge from doing that is probably there, but tiny. The smallest solar input is enough to make up for it.

    I've had by ac200P for about a year, mostly keeping it for back up. I occasionally run a coffee maker on it to test it out. I haven't noticed any battery % issues but that could be bc I'm not putting heavy loads on it for long. I will test it out and run it down to zero and recharge it. Should I do that at least a few times a year since its just for back up light/internet/fridge power?

    The instructions with the AC200P says to run it to first run it down to 0% due to the power meter recalibrating what 0% and 100% actually compute to from the battery… no two batteries are the same so it’s very sensitive to make sure you get 100% out of the battery.

    At the 9:48 mark you state that the AC200P is not expandable. However, it is compatible with both the B230 and B300 Expansion Batteries. In fact, Bluetti sells both as upgrades for the AC200P.

    Recently my voltage overcharge fault undicator tripped. I am running 7 weize 100w panels that have a max of 18.46v per panel. This would be about 130v which is within the 35-150 v range. I have the ac200p and I've been looking for decent, affordable solar panels for charging it. All of the youtube videos I've seen say that THREE 12 volt panels in series, or higher is REQUIRED for this unit to charge. This does NOT seem to be true according to what I've just learned from Renogy. This is what Renogy has to say about it:
    What does the 12V/24V in the product title of the solar panel mean?
    The 12V/24V in product titles (ex. 100W 12V Monocrystalline Solar panel) does not refer to the actual voltage (Voc or Vmp) of the solar panels, but rather to the voltage of the solar system or energy storage system to which the panel is best suited.
    Most 12 volt panels have a higher VOC, and from what I've seen, 2 panels should charge the ac200p based on VOC numbers. I've found one 24-volt, 200 watt panel that has a VOC of 43.60, plenty sufficient to charge the bluetti. I just learned this information and come back to youtube to see that no one is correcting this misinformation. The Bluetti requires a VOC of 35-150, NOT a voltage of 35-150....

    • @OffGridAdventure
      @OffGridAdventure  Рік тому +1

      I have not tried this, but your assessment sounds correct. One 24v panel should put out 40+ volts.

    You can expand the 200P with a B200 battery module. Holding the B200 power button until it blinks enables connection to the 200P.
    My only complaint is my RV has a 13.5Kw AC, very common rating, and the startup draw sometimes overloads the 200P. The 200Max won't have this problem.

    • @stevenglasser2150
      @stevenglasser2150 9 днів тому

      I've got a 200 max, a dometic penguin will overload my system on the startup load so I'm sure an RV system will do the same sadly

      @leonarddaneman810 9 днів тому

      @@stevenglasser2150 At least you can install a Soft Start capacitor to the Dometic or other RV AC's and that will stop the overload.
      I think the two 200's linked will run an AC for 2-3 hours. Of course, the sun will be shining so three solar panels will be recharging that entire time leaving you with partially recharged batteries for getting through the night.

    How has this been holding up over the past few months? Mine is arriving this week and I’m mainly concerned about the inverter insufficiency/parasitic losses. How effective is the draining it to 0% and then recharge to 100%? Is it a major difference or just help out a little? If could provide any numbers regarding your inverter efficiency since you made this video I would sincerely appreciate it!
    We lose power about once a month in the summer due to storms, anywhere from 15 min to a full a day. I’m planning on using this for those days. Now I’m worried if it’s been sitting for a month or so and then the power goes out and it has lost all of its stored charge I am going to be completely screwed and there’s no point in me buying it if it can’t hold a charge in store for a month or longer

    • @OffGridAdventure
      @OffGridAdventure  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi, I appreciate you stopping in. I have not used this power station much, because I’ve been on the road since filming this video. The biggest complaint I’ve heard it that this one has a higher than usual minimum operating cost. Meaning that it burns power with the AC inverter idling. However, no issue with leaving it off for extended periods and parasitic drain. This model is not the most current, so hopefully you got a good deal on it. Also, some of the newer ones have more Bluetooth connectivity features.

    • @bobbymiller518

      Thanks for the response!, as long as it can hold a charge while it’s off in storage and can be used months later when the power goes out and not be completely empty by the time the power goes out then my anxiety is relieved!

    I love mine. I bought it a few years ago, but it sat in its box unused for a while. It's 80 pounds packed. Then, my grandson took it to where we would use it. My daughter and her friend set it up on the table. It is heavy, and I love it! I use it every night. The fan is on a table beside me, with minimal noise. I got used to the light inside the Bluetti as it is low. The light on the front is brighter. It bothered me when I had it on the floor. Now that it is on the table, it is in front of my line of sight, and the light of the on button and screen no longer bothers us. Even our dog, who sleeps in her bed in front of our bed, has gotten used to the light. She likes dark and quiet, but dogs get used to things fast. LOL

    I'm gonna try and make an explanation for the power issues without any actual credentials or knowledge. And without truly being able to understand the problem you're describing because I've got some brain fog and a lot of tech talk goes over my head XD
    Ideas That Should Be Ignored:
    1. phone loses charge because the heat steals battery life faster than the Bluetti can charge.
    2. If you have any cords connected to the thing, the power is sitting or getting lost in the cords.
    3. The bluetti is just too clunky to send energy to multiple areas.
    .... i really need to understand electronics better. Even reading those makes me shake my head. I'm pretty sure all three of those were problems solved around the time I was born, and would NOT be an issue now in 2023. XD
