No one in Russia care's for anything worse and that ironically gives them reason not to take him out of office. "If it's not you, who cares if it's your neighbor" kind of reasoning
But yeah, you can't know if you don't think like him/them. Imagining that someone else is reasonable seems to be the crux of most of there logic, they didn't think he would invade either.. and again, they don't take time to think what's his motives and background. He made a few speeches talking about rebuilding the U.S.S.R., which was a vampiric system to "protect Russia" from a 1500-1800's like invasion. He's a man that heavily misinterprets history to fit his narrative, and the same logic lead him to think he was going to walk all over Ukraine. He also believes Russia is center to society and the world is not worth living in without it.

This is kind of brain dead.
This segment is not about life. It's about retaining power.
It's about how many days Putin is expected to remain in control of Russian society. Those days are numbered.
So no, this does not apply to everyone. You don't have power as Putin does, so your days aren't numbered in the same way.

    From u.k.
    Putins days have been numbered
    Since week one!
    Two YEARS next Feb!
NATO can’t eliminate their source of arms
    production.
And they can’t eliminate ours, not like ww2.
Both sides feed troops in the middle.
Who will run out of troops first?
You can have a continuous supply of hardware
    which both sides have.
But what happens when you run out of troops
    to operate it?
Unless something is negotiated, it will be down
to who runs out of men first
Even the top brass on both sides , know it’s that
    Simple!
In the meantime, Ukraine looks more like the moon
every day, I feel so sad for the people.

It's a part of Russian history that things change suddenly in the regime leadership, everything looking quite normal until the day it happens. But things will not happen as soon as some hope for. The war dragging out in time, with no actual achivements, just pause, is not a good thing among many people in the russian elite, whose war these is for survival. The russian people being 'infected' by the same virus as the ukrainians, kicking out their old style soviet president and befriend the west instead, is a total nightmare senario to the little russian elite controlling 90% of the country wealth

No young men, ruble is worthless, inflation skyrocketing, while Russians make less money annually, the only industry surviving is the military industrial complex, Russia has zero friends in the world, Russians can’t travel any where in the world, commercial aircraft’s continue to fall from the sky due to no maintenance available, they get no outside funding as they have been booted from the IMF, Pooptin has killed near 400,000 young men in Ukraine and that number hasn’t been released to the public yet, small businesses can’t survive, no new businesses are being created, interest rates nearing 20% again, near 1.5 million educated and/or wealthy Russians have fled the country with millions more trying to leave creating a brain drain, exports declining while imports have gotten so expensive that they cannot be purchased-THAT’S JUST SOME OF RUSSIA’S PROBLEMS!! There are MORE!! Now, tell me again how Pooper will survive this onslaught before Russian politicians step in and remove him. He has destroyed a country and the longer he is in charge Russia will be devastated for decades to come. He WILL be “removed” one way or another. There are a few smart Russians left who plainly see what’s happening.

Putin's situation is strongly influenced by what the West does. If our unity cracks, support for Ukraine fades and we start involving Russia again in various activities, Putin's position is not threatened in the same way, even though he made a big mistake when he started the war. After all, a revolution is not so easy that one would start it with very little. Nowadays, it seems more like Putin is fading away little by little, after all he is already relatively old and apparently not quite healthy. So I wouldn't hold my breath about his radical ouster in any way. No one seems to be making a strong effort to solve things, but rather the West is just watching from the sidelines and even putting the brakes on a little and Putin's position is not so threatened then.

    • @KiKa-rr3mm
      @KiKa-rr3mm 5 місяців тому +2

I would add that all of this has been a great humiliation and shame for Russia, so it may be pointless for the West to hope for a quick détente and improvement of relations, no matter who is in charge there in the future. That is, at least, unless the change is radical, which I personally don't believe. It would certainly require the rise of the people, so someone in the current administration or someone close to it is not enough. Under their leadership, perhaps more extensive hostilities will be brought to an end, but not much else.
Edit. To clarify, those in the current administration or close to it are themselves part of the current war machine. Who more, who less of their own will, but they are, and of course it also determines a lot how they can/want to lead the country after everything that has happened. That is one of the reasons why the change is unlikely to be very radical.

All of our days are numbered, if you think about it. But it's an interesting point he makes. If the Russian people believe there is a stalemate, and no one side can win, with no end in sight they will soon get sick of becoming poorer and poorer and losing more and more of their friends and family. In some ways, it's even better to make them believe it's a stalemate rather than make them think they will lose. This is because they may think there is an end in sight and things will soon go back to normal. We must draw this thing out and really shake them down for everything they have. We can make it so that it takes them decades to recover while at the same time being vulnerable to Chinese invasion. Chinese invasion can look like the Eastern territories being annexed and puppeteered by the CPP.

It is inevitable that Russia will lose this war .You only have to look at history to understand this .This is no longer the 19th century and imperialism was over by 1945.The Russian people are not different and they have already enjoyed the benefits of capitalism and will not put up with continuous austerity that Putin will have to enforce in order to pay for the war

You are so dogmatic. It is not inevitable that Putin will lose the war, in fact the general consensus now even in govt circles in America is that he won’t. How does history tell us that he won’t win? Where is the evidence that Putin has imperialist ambitions?. You seem to be confused, imperialism was a product of capitalism. Yes the Russian people have enjoyed the benefits of capitalism under Putin, it was he who introduced the free market economy into Russia which exists to this day. Talking about austerity, 80 million people in America have no money and are drowning in debt, 70 million have no healthcare, tens of thousands are living on the streets, is this the austerity you are talking about in Russia? I suggest that you don’t know what you are talking about.
