Performance-wise, the only thing that matters in a build is how well (freely) the wheels and the bottom bracket spin.
How well it shifts is important too, but that can be adjusted after the build.

The Madone is the best looking aerobike out there and Trek's Project One has the best paint options other than going with a full custom paint job. I never liked all those crazy paint design many of the bikes have these days...way too busy and look like some crap. I like that Trek gives you the option to choose from a variety of paint schemes.

Awesome choice on wheels. The tubular 5.6s are so much lighter than the clinchers though. I couldn’t justify my 6.7s without going tubular.
