Yes, every time! Painting and assembling a whole army quickly gets overwhelming, but I’d happily spend an entire day painting one miniature to completion.
John's such a cool geezer, met him in '89 and had a chat over a pint with him at the golden demons, we were young yet he listened to us and gave us tips and insights into painting, creative lifestyle in general and his work at GW. Always been a massive fan of his work and of him as a person, looking forward to seeing his personal future work. Dug out my signed copy of Ratspike to flick through the other day, it's inspired me to give mini painting a go again after all this time.
Excellent! And what an honor to make this for John B.! I would love to see more Mordheim related projects from you guys. I'm still playing Mordheim 24 years later and in my gaming group it's a firm favorite.
What a beautiful nostalgic paintjob ,remembered the good days years 80 when discovered John artwork with my first Citadel miniatures here in Marseille -France,what a memory magic period ! Thanks guys !
What a superb commission. You can see the carefully thought gone into the flavour and the composition by Ben to make sure the table looks nice but also is playable. Great work gents.
I loved this video! More Mordheim projects would be amazing. And creating a warband would be a great way to show off different techniques because more or less every miniature would be different.
Amazing board! Thanks for sharing. I want to do something similar but struggle to source the xps foam. Any hints about where I might find some please? Thanks
I would enjoy more scenery videos based on skirmish games. You mentioned you weren't really set up to do videos but I find the format for this video were more than adequate and gave the viewer a good idea of all the details in the board.
I’m blown with the lore of that game. SummonLesserMaker has a “Roll 4 Terrain” Challenge. Was so much fun to make. I rolled Smithy, it’s available to download for free. The I just finished my second challenge The Alchemist’s Laboratory. First time really working with a sculpt program. Was so much fun and soon I will also release it for free to download so it can be printed. I haven’t played the game yet. But now I’m fully committed to roll an entire board.
Mordheim terrain is just so gratuitous to build. It looks cool, and is so much fun to play on. can you do a tutorial on how to integrate leds into small terrainpieces? Im currently on making some with fdm printed street-lanterns and a 9V battery in on-off-box disguised as a box next to it. Its not very refined, but it has an amazing effect.
I'd love more third party stuff in general, i get that AoS and 40k are just BETTER for SEO stuff, but i'd love to see your take on some Orgoth or maybe some Winter korps or something else from warmachine (just using the game i happen to play as an example)
John "The Man Himself" Blanche?! I'm surprised the whole thing isn't piped with propane burners in order to bring in that 'village on fire' element of the original art :D
He's in charge of our commissions studio. He primarily does our commercial clients and some private collectors, we've a team that also work on private commissions.
Would like more content on skirmish stuff (like spending more time on mini's, because you only need to paint a small number of models), but am less interested in content on terrain.
More skirmish stuff please, I'm gradually learning my lesson that i don't really enjoy painting big armies, no matter how many i start😅
Very much this. Some Necromunda-oriented stuff would be brilliant to see. (Inq28 even? Or am I just being greedy...)
I felt that

That is pretty cool
Wow, what an honour. Fantastic board for the legend himself. Great job!

Man, I’m a huge fan of John Blanche, adored his work in the old Fighting Fantasy game books.
What a beautiful nostalgic paintjob ,remembered the good days years 80 when discovered John artwork with my first Citadel miniatures here in Marseille -France,what a memory magic period !
Thanks guys !
This was a real treat to watch! I’d love to see cult tackle more terrain and skirmish stuff in the future, love watching anything like this.
Amazing board and love the use of the rust. Man... I need to get back to rolling dice!
The GOAT is a client!?! Amazing
I've come back to watch this one again. It'd love to see another board build and then skirmish game content. Very cool guys!
That’s gorgeous, I would love to see more. Maybe a 40k themed one
What a superb commission. You can see the carefully thought gone into the flavour and the composition by Ben to make sure the table looks nice but also is playable. Great work gents.
Looks amazing! So cool that you made it for John Blanche! 👌🏻
Absolutely great video like always. Thank you for making it.
Whoa, I can't imagine how cool it is to have Mr Blanche as a client! Although with the quality you guys produce, I can't say I'm surprised.
Ben smashed this, amazing work.
Absolutely phenomenal
Thanks Henry!!
What a lovely piece. Definitely more of this please Cult
3:19 what buildings are those?
Found it. City of Tarok. Barrenfall are also good for Mordheim.
They aren't the seeds, they are the scales from the Birch Catkins. The scales protect the seeds until they dry out and blow away on the wind
No way! That's amazing!
Super amazing board! Would love to create something like this for Forbidden Psalm.
I loved this video! More Mordheim projects would be amazing. And creating a warband would be a great way to show off different techniques because more or less every miniature would be different.
Looks wonderful!
So so great!
you’re right about being able to see the print layers.
Great board you guys made. Hope John Blanche enjoys it.
Love it! 🙂
Amazing board! Thanks for sharing.
I want to do something similar but struggle to source the xps foam. Any hints about where I might find some please? Thanks
Stunning work! Looks fantastic :)
Lovely ! Starting to build mine ! Can you tell me approximately the size of the board ? Thx you so much
Gorgeous board.. Even if I hate the layer lines from FDM. Robust, endurable.. but well done from you. Shows up only in macro photography.
Gorgeous board! Were those trees also 3d printed?
Magnificent!

I'd love to see some Moonstone on the channel. The figures are fantastic and full of so much character.
Wonderful looking game
Stunning board, I'm going to be checking out that scenery.
I would love to see more skirmish stuff, does T28 fall into that?
This is cool AF
Where are the ruined building stl’s from? :)
Great video, i like the idea of the posters, do you have a link to a template to use at the right scale to create our own?
Really like the look of Mordheim. Has anyone got any tips how I can get rules and what models to proxy?. Plus love the skirmish stuff.
Check out website - Broheim
French fan waouw !!!!😮
what were the leaves made out of? they looked great!
Those little beech seed things ( some incredibly wise person in the comments knows the exact name)

Would love to see a moonstone board to this quality!
more terrain please!
who made the buildings?
Amazing work and great video! Thank you so much, if you need any more terrain just drop me a message....maybe a resin building next time? :)

❤❤❤❤
more scenery please, the terrain is the 3rd army in a 2 player wargame and essential.
More Mordheim plzzzzzz....:)
MORE... TERRAIN..
YES. 😂
John "The Man Himself" Blanche?! I'm surprised the whole thing isn't piped with propane burners in order to bring in that 'village on fire' element of the original art :D
Im a simple man. I see Mordheim, I click
Henry the FDM printer uses a number of different. Plastics such as PLA and ABS , no FDM printers do not use resin
Thanks Leroy, important to get the terms right.
FDM printers don't use resin. I think you are getting confused with SLA(DLP) resin printers? Sorry just picked up on that early on.
Baron's War please!
All the skirmish boards...All hail the You Tube algorithm gods!
Does Ben do everything? He’s the multi tool of cult of paint

00:41 XDDDDDD
John on the channel, when?! 😮
Subbed for more

Unless you are using a polyurethane varnish, there is absolutely no difference in hardness between gloss and matt acrylic varnishes.
A Kill Team board that isn't in a space hulk.
Such as?
