Are you kidding me?!?!? How talented can two dudes be!!! This groove is difficult for any experienced drummer let alone the drummer who lays down the groove then goes and lays down as complicated keyboard and synth tracks and solos. WOW--AWESOME!!! Band Geeks rock and no wonder why with you two at the core. Keep 'em coming!!!!
Hands-down the best Rosanna cover on UA-cam, and I’ve watched almost all of them. Especially the vocals...and you’re singing both male parts. Y’all are extremely talented 🙌🏼
Diambi Domanuel I’ve seen it. Both are comparable to each other. I think the reason I gave it to Richie & Andy is because they did everything with just two people! 🤘🏼
How did the drummer learn the Rosanna shuffle in 4 hours?? It makes the whole sound of this song, its the backbone, and he nailed it!! Amazing! Everyone, amazing!
the necessary face contortions required to focus on that solo was the best part of that particular place in the video we all expect Richie to nail the notes but the facial expressions were epic!
You just smoked that to the enth degree!! ... I love Andy’s entire presence as well he is a ‘Pocket” unto himself an rhythmical entity no matter what he’s playing..

You and Andy are just so damn talented! Honestly the whole team is just so damn multi-talented! It's truly a pleasure to watch your videos! Thank you for sharing your talent with us. We're not worthy!
14 dislikes- Guys, there is such a thing as "TOO HIGH" Had a smile the entire video. That feeling is the hook that keeps us all in it, regardless of talent. Who WOULDN'T want to be a part of a session like this. Certainly it wasn't all roses but a product of this quality must have produced some hair raising moments. Brilliant!
Whoaaa!!! I've only heard one cover band come close to doing this song justice before, and that was a full band. Just the drum groove on this is tough enough, but to nail the keys, guitar and vocals? Awesome work.
What a freakin incredible cover! Blown away, again! Smiled my ass off through the whole song! I would pay just to sit in your studio and watch you perform. It’d be worth every penny! Thanks again guys for an awesome experience!
You are a great musician Richie, most people specialise in one instrument and perhaps sing as well but you can do it all. A big thumbs up from Australia. Oh, and so is Andy!
To those who dont get the reference, Purdie was a studio drummer mainly in the style of Steely Dan ( hear his shuffle on Peg). Porcaro is Toto's drummer and used a Purdie style beat for Rosana. FYI, the song is written about Rosanna Arquette ( Mannequin, and Sex and the City actress).
@@gvgv3515 Just a little info...the song In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel is also written about Rosanna Arquette......wow she must be quite a lady to inspire 2 major hits
@@wildmike951 Thank you for the trivia!! I am a huge Genesis fan and do like some of Gabriel's solo music. I didn't know that. But his wife isn't happy about the basis of his song. Lol. Bet she'd hit him like a "Sledgehammer!!"😁
@@gvgv3515 Actually, the song is named after her, Paich said that the song is about some other loves that he had, but he used the name "Rosanna" when he met Rosanna Arquette because he thought that it sounded cool.
@@gvgv3515 Actually, Bernard Purdie didn't play on Peg, that was Rick Marotta. Purdie DID play on several other songs from Aja (and other albums too)- including Home at Last, which is where Porcaro got Rosanna's hi-hat groove from.
I'm amazed at how you recorded all the individual parts and pulled it all together to sound and look so fluid. Really cool guys. I'm now going to dust off my Toto vinyl and warm up the turntable.
Well, so far that's TWO bands you can play perfectly that I thought no other musicians in the world had the chops to do but the original bands themselves! Congratulations!
So, all that’s needed to recreate one of the absolute CLASSICS, is a small basement, a few instruments, some microphones and......... A HUGE AMOUNT OF TALENT. Well done guys! I’m no expert, but with my eyes closed, it could have been the original!!!

That’s not to say the other chap isn’t excellent, I was just expecting more of you! One of the best covers of this song I’ve seen…and I’ve watched enough!
I remember when my son and I met Richie after BOC performed at Harbor-fest in Oswego, NY in 1991. We were walking around near the side of the stage and he came over and just started talking to us for over 15 minutes like he was someone there watching the show. I recognized him immediately but it took my son (16 @ time) a few minutes. Richie started telling my son (an 'aspiring' guitarist at the time) to stop worrying about girls, partying and all that, just to worry about school in case music didn't work out, and to practice his fundimentals on his guitar, every day, that is how he will get good enough to make it. My son took him at hi word and still, even though he has a steady girlfriend and is in college, still practices...4-6hrs a day like Richie told him. I've met a few rock stars in y day, but Richie was different. Not all into himself. He is a great guy!
Superb at the drums! You made that triplet shuffle all your own. That particular groove, super popular now, was somewhat unusual then. It covers a lot of sonic territory so the rest of the rhythm section needs to play around it.
I am a musician who has been in many copy bands and bands who tried to write our own stuff. I am 65 years old and have been playing in bands for 50 years. I play keyboards and sax. When you got to the keyboard solo part, I thought there was a chance it would fall apart, like so many videos of Rosanna. Really impressed and that is hard for me admit because I think of myself as a musical snob!
Listening to your cover, I have only one regret "It's to be able to put only one "bluepouce" hahaha. It's fabulous, you know how to play everything and you can play any track exactly the same! And in addition, you are Multi-instrumentists. I have great respect for your qualities as musicians. Thank you for this great moment of music. Musically Phil

Check out Child's Anthems version, his vocals are as good as Bobby Kimballs, by the way this version is fantastic also🙏
Agreed.
Indeed this is one of the best full covers! For a really good acoustic guitar cover check out kirbyscovers version
Damnnn Richie you’re an amazing singer those high notes were insane
THIS IS some SERIOUS talent stuff going ON HERE! You guys have fun too man!
When I grow up I want to be just like Ritchie and Andy. And I'm probably 15-20 years older.
Me to!
How did the drummer learn the Rosanna shuffle in 4 hours?? It makes the whole sound of this song, its the backbone, and he nailed it!! Amazing! Everyone, amazing!
The reason why Weezer’s cover of this didn’t work was that they didn’t get the shuffle right.
The look of satisfaction when you nail Luthaker's solo makes this awesome!
the necessary face contortions required to focus on that solo was the best part of that particular place in the video we all expect Richie to nail the notes but the facial expressions were epic!

Lol The look on Richie's face immediately after he nails that scale in the solo is like, "That's right boy, that just happened". Gangsta shi!
The singing is on point which makes the cover totally work. Great job!
My granddaughter is named Rosanna after this song meant so much to my daughter and her partner, ❤
Once again, bravo Richie.
Damn! That was the most technical and kick ass cover! Awesome musicians!!
This should have at least a million views...!
Every now and again I have to come back and watch this. Such a badass cover on multiple levels.
I just want to say, I Shazamed this while it was playing and it reported it as being the actual song... that's how ON POINT this is.
The best Rosanna cover I've ever seen.
The vocals! Hitting those high notes. The Melisma runs, perfect, just like Bobby. The solos! Perfect. And on a Music Man. You guys rock.
