This is the hardest way to learn. Sheet music is 40 x easier. This is like trying to read a book with a paper covering thebwords only exposing 1 letter at a time.

helmrath Yes you should. It's not nearly as hard to learn as you probably think. It's a language, and once you gain fluency you can play anything within your skill range

I used to use these videos to learn pieces because I was too scared of sheet music. It took me very long to realize that it is actually way easier to learn music from sheet music than from this method!!

Depends on if you're a visual or oral learner. For me I find having the image and the sound of these videos and figuring it out EASIER than when I read music ;)

Have been playing for five years as well, and obviously I can tell it's not easy at all lol. Especially the first minute.. But might give it a go to see how it goes:) Thanks for your answer!

Would be cool to hear Alkan's Etude Op.35 No.4 for synthesia. I don't believe there's any synthesia version of it on YT, but it's one of the finest etudes ever written for piano.

Not sure if you're able to get to it, but I manually set all the notes. So, here's some papers if you wanted some proof. Not trying to be mean, but I make sure every time I say I can do something that I can actually do it.
