Amazon Basics Shedder Hack

Modifying my Amazon Basics Home/Office Shredder to sit on a large trash can with a bag liner for easy clean up! This totally voids any warranty and makes it less safe with the bin switch disabled. Don't do this if you stick your fingers in moving parts, here's all the stuff you would need otherwise:

We shred all of our paper & cardboard waste to be used as bedding for our two Guinea pigs, Starlord and Jimmothy. In the warm months the used bedding gets turned into compost for gardening and in the winter months, it gets pressed into fire logs and help heat the garage. There might be a video on that someday too. Thanks for Watching!

This is exactly what I need but I have few tools and no place to complete this project. HOW do I bypass the safety feature that prevent my shredder from performing on a larger receptacle? It seems like a simple fix, but no luck finding out how… Signed, A Librarian not a Mechanic
