@@mineherojedi Check out the other episodes in the series. There's already some stuff in the colour and detailing episodes on this, but if there's enough interest I can do a full ep.
Could you touch upon terraforming? Or is this a structure only series? Also if you don't mind answering, how long have you been building for / playing minecraft for?
@@cheeseyathena5016 There will be another episode of the series on terraforming. I've been playing minecraft for about 6 years total. 2 in Bedrock on console and 4 on Java on PC.
Now, not saying I'm a fan or anything but I'm 5 seconds in to the video and seen 3 builds of yours - I've built the first two in my previous world and currently working on a steampunk area in my world based on your let's play! 😂
Dang, you're telling me im an architecture student for nothing and could have just watched this? lol good vid. Oh btw id say ambiance/atmosphere instead of light cause it includes sounds and air, like not putting a library next to a a dance hall n stuff
Very nicely done! It's an architecture course in a nutshell! I appreciate how much research you put in and the succinct script. All of the examples given are very helpful too!
Just here to say I've seen all of the 5 videos and now I'm more confident to start building and building better than before. Really good videos. Enjoyed all of them.
Beautifully done and underrated video, my specialty is building modern homes, neighborhoods, and modern buildings in general but I also like to build victorian mansions or (modern) Italian villa mansions
Thank you! I appreciate it. Check out the other videos in the Building 101 series if you liked this. They take a while to build momentum but they get there...
you put so much time and Care into these building 101 tutorials. thank you very much! I wish that you would continue. you have a very intelligent and helpful perspective and approach to teaching the subject. I would love a more thorough video regarding all of the different materials that you displayed. you did such an excellent job of categorizing them so as to create a more complete understanding. it has made me excited about being creative with the materials knowing some of their properties laid out so directly and thoughtfully. thank you again :)
One corrction: "Victorian" is not an architecture style, but an umbrella term for a bunch of styles popular in late 19 cent, including different 'revival' styles, like Gothic Revial, Renaissance Revival, etc. Westminster Palace, for example, is Gothic Revival.
Thanks a lot for the comprehensive video! I want to knoe something because I get so motivated to play minecraft but when I open it idk what to do. I want to build things but I also want functionality. How do people build such nice villaged and towns while still living there? What functional things should I build? How does building in kinecraft survival work other than the building aspect?
Check out my latest survival series for some good ideas. Think about what the builds could be for. See if a farm can fit. Look up what types of buildings would be in that era of build.
The first one , that one build that show up first. That Victorian styled build, that one with the haunted mansion theme. What was it called? I want to build it
I just discovered your channel and now I'm just so happy just by seeing all your contents that I could watch 🤤🤤🤤 going to have a lot of fun so thank you. Also do you mind telling us what is that shader/ressouces pack you are using in the intro?? It looks super stylized any beautiful.
Hey, I just discovered your channel. An idea i have for a tutorial is how to get those interesting shapes and more alaberate look into the curves episode. Like how do i transform that curve on the floor to a verticle curve. Sometimes i see a building that i want to make in real life but i get overwhelmed on where to start and just give up.
For a vertical curve you can do the same and just make the curve on the floor then recreate it vertically 👍🏻 I will probably do another one of these on more complex shapes at some point.
I think you're overlapping what architects do, with what engineers do. Architects make a plan for what it looks like, and engineers have to figure out how to make it structurally sound and actualize the architect's plan. Basically, architects make art and the engineers clean up the architect's messes
But architecture is the stylistic category, though agreed sometimes they don’t make their designs easy to bring to reality and need help from structural engineers for sure.
Good series, well put together. Especially the color theory and real-world tie ins. My only criticism is that it feels a little shady not to give credit or at least mention you're showcasing more than only your own original Minecraft designs here. You don't claim them all as yours either, which is nice. But still...
The only design that’s not mine is Keralis’ base, which is highlighted and tagged as his. If you’re talking about the Tree Monster it’s me own version of Grian and Pearls build from Hermitcraft from a video I did inspired by Treesa. All of which references their original build. My version is significantly bigger, it’s Treesa’s big brother Treestan.
Hey Folks, hope the new episode helps you out and don't forget to let me know in the comments what you'd like to see in future episodes!
Full guide to shading please

this is WAY more helpful than tutorials that just show you how to build a pre-designed thing. this is actual art skills
Thank you. I appreciate it. My aim is always to help people harness their own creativity.

Yes new vid
Indeed there is!
This is an awesome video! Do you know what map is featured at 1:11 ?
Thank you. That’s my Cyberpunk world, where I built my tutorials. It’s available on my discord.

It's the Addams Family House tutorial
@@AdieCraft oh thank you, love you!
7:20 video source of this build/mansion ?
It’s a tutorial on a Modern House design on the channel. On my channel page search modern house and you should find it
bro tell about curves shapes in building as you promise us to make in ep 1 and also on japnese builds ultimate guide also
Check the playlist. It’s the episode on curves, angles and organic builds 👍🏻

Thank you so much. The shader is BSL. I don’t use a Texture pack (used to use Vanilla BDCraft). Now I only use my Futuristic pack too.
@@AdieCraft oh okay thank you so much 😉I guess it was the effect of the celshading then. Now time to get better in build 😅😅

anyone know where can i watch a video for that house on the hill? 6:25
It’s my Addams family build, check the most popular videos on the channel and you’ll see part 1 there

0:51 what city is this?
It’s Hong Kong
onii chan, can you build a kotoku-in pagoda in japan?
I will take a look and see what I can do
2:40 guns and roses reference?
Maybe 😝
I found proportion and scale is extremely difficult
It can be challenging, but with practice it can come. Check lots of reference images would be the best advice.
I watched all the things I still can’t get better I try building them but they end up as a square house
Start by adding some other shapes to the rectangles you build and that will make it a lot easier to make them more interesting
Are you an art teacher?
Nope, but I did used to do lots of art and drawing.
