Having visited Mont Saint-Michel, I can confirm that it is every bit as impressive, mega, and absolutely breathtaking as you could imagine. It's like the Disney castle, but cooler and actually exists in real life. The tides at the castle are some of the most extreme in the world, which actually results in the castle becoming an island at high tide, but not low tide. At low tide, you can walk across the mudflats from the mainland to the castle, but at high tide the only way there is a boat (ignoring the modern bridge that's been built for tourists). They say that when the tide comes in, it's faster than a galloping horse. There are stories of soldiers that found themselves out on the mudflats right as the tide started to come in who were unable to outrun the water, and drowned.

Its a block game thats meant to be fun and relaxing, not a secondary job meant to burn you out. 2 set mini-goals for your build. Using an example from my own current project of a megabase dragon roost, I didn't build it all at once. I started with just the center piece, then pathways, then the larger details before anything massive. Setting more smaller goals makes the actual process of building much more manageable and digestible. Realistic and smaller goals are always the way to go. 3 Prepare to cope with uncertainty/build anxiety. Its entirely normal to feel anxious and uncertain while building, but many people can feel too anxious and indecisive to continue. If this occurs, it's important to take a break, step back, and relax. You should not force yourself if you aren't enjoying it. To help with uncertainty, it can help to draw it out, plan with others, and even create a duplicate creative world to plan ahead of time. Uncertainty is normal, but not invincible. Take time for yourself, plan ahead, and go in again. Its normal to be anxious, and tearing it down is normal and part of the process. tldr: dont force yourself, set manageable goals, create pressures, and plan ahead

I think one of the problems is over planning the build. Minecraft is more fun when you make it up as you go, Although maybe just plan out simple parameters as you will need some plan
Mushroom blocks arent too hard to get with a proper farm. Pistons push them into a conveyer while all you need to do is place them, however as you need to silk touch make sure to redirect them to where a player can mine them, not a blast chamber.
Just sayin Grian, this video to me is like when Mumbo Jumbo says: “It’s really quite simple”. But there hasn’t been a video like this in ages! Good to see them back and can’t wait for part 2!
It will take a long but here is one of the thing i like to do sometimes if i can,t build for hours on end is do little bits at a time so 20, 30 minutes spread out between a number weeks trust me after you do it you will feel so proud of your self and the build if you put in the effort and time
I wouldn’t be able to finish it even in creative to be quite frankly honest with you and myself. I would most likely give up and do something else, like a survival guardian farm, or command blocks, yeah, I’d really rather do that..
I love building in Minecraft, but I have trouble putting builds together, so seeing some stuff put together like this, and walking through it, and describing how? It helps a lot, and I genuinely thank you. I want to build, so having these guides to describe the thought process? It helps. So thanks, mate!
Me and 2 friends are planning on building a mega base together. I found this really cool huge cave and know I have to build an underground city of some kind. My friends decided that they will build on the surface and sky respectively. I'm so excited for this project!
Grian: "Don't build with mushroom blocks in survival, you're not gonna like it." Also Grian: Literally builds the entire Mycelium Resistance HQ out of mushrooms
If only i had tools like that, ive chosen to do a massive mountain range, reaching to the new build height, with a mahoosive temple/castle thing on the tallest central mountain. it will take me absolutely ages, but this video will help out a lot. thanks so much G!
I like the jokes about the back of the mansion in hermitcraft, but this actually isn't a bad idea for a video. The back of a mansion doesn't typically have as many shapes jutting out of it to break it up as the front does, so how does one go about detailing something like that without it ending up as a noticeably repeating series of windows? If you decide to break it up more by adding a back door that leads to a garden or courtyard or other such outdoor space, how do you keep the back side distinctly feeling like a back side and not just a second front side? The front of a build usually benefits from being naturally broken up by a front door, but the back side of a build has no such advantage. ....Maybe it could be less "how to build the back of a mansion" and more "how to detail the back of a build". ....I actually kinda want this video now.
The advice here actually applies really well to smaller projects. The over-arching theme seems to be Start at the Macro Scale, then work smaller and smaller to add detail. Rather then trying to act like a build printer and crank it out at full detail from the start

I wouldn’t be able to finish it even in creative to be quite frankly honest with you and myself. I would most likely give up and do something else, like a survival guardian farm, or command blocks, yeah, I’d really rather do that..
Planing is important

@@thehe2748 L0L
honestly planing is hard to get right due to Minecraft's blocky nature, hence why going for 90 degree turns only is still respectable.
I love building in Minecraft, but I have trouble putting builds together, so seeing some stuff put together like this, and walking through it, and describing how? It helps a lot, and I genuinely thank you. I want to build, so having these guides to describe the thought process? It helps. So thanks, mate!
I was trying to get ideas to build a base in my world. The timing couldn’t be better. Thx Grian

We all want "how to build the back of a mansion"
Flat wall made of dirt
@@jacintacapelety9600 that is a huge commemt
Lmao
@@jacintacapelety9600 very nice and long speech, but here is a tip: break it up into paragraphs so that peoples eyes don’t hurt.
The advice here actually applies really well to smaller projects. The over-arching theme seems to be Start at the Macro Scale, then work smaller and smaller to add detail. Rather then trying to act like a build printer and crank it out at full detail from the start
