Anybody can decorate when you have a lot of money and an expensive home, but when you are on a strict budget and are working with just the kind of basic home that most of us live in, that takes real talent and creativity. Very inspiring and enjoyable to watch. Looking forward to watching your other videos. By the way, your little girl is so sweet.

Beth I that’s *not* a tight budget. Being on disability and not having anything left after your $744 is gone, is a tight budget. And $465 of that, the bank gets. I would love to have a home and furnishings like she has.
And her budget wasn’t right because if she collected everything over time, you still have to count all that. Doesn’t matter when it was bought, you still have to count it.
But it still turned out nice 💟
"Tight" budgets are all relative to different people with different situations. I hope that the main encouragement from the video was to use what you have and to tap into gratitude for what you do have! UA-cam and social media can be an unhealthy hole of comparison, so it is my aim to produce content that is positive!
Even including everything bought over the past ten years, I spent less than $1,000 for the room. The $89 is what I have bought since January of this year. :)
I love that you used a wooden child's playset table as your coffee table!! What a great idea!
Yes! It's a great way to incorporate kid-friendly living into my decor. Plus it comes in handy for all those real life mom moments where I put my child in front of the TV for dinner... :)
I also did this when my son was little as we only had old end tables, and no regular coffee table. Worked for many years!😀

Love the make over! When I bought my first home years ago I was single and didn’t have much money. So it took me a while to filled it with items. I shopped consignment stores and estate sales. It was so fun and rewarding.

You and your daughter did a beautiful job. I love the soft and peaceful colors as your pallet. I recently redecorated my home the same way. Whites, taupes, and grays. At 65 I wanted to create a calming effect. My husband likes it too. Enjoy.

I know you initially had some reservations about moving into a mobile home, but let me tell you - the way you have spruced the place up, most people would be moving in there in a heartbeat! It's so bright and elegant, most non-mobile homes aren't half as classy. Stunning job, again!

Beautiful makeover, love the little table and chairs. I did daycare for my two grandchildren a few years back and cut the legs off of two wooden kitchen chairs to fit under my coffee table. We did so many things at the coffee table. Tea parties, crafts and painting, "school work". I also live in a mobile so things need to do double and triple duty sometimes.

I love what you have done with this room. So many great ideas & what you can do with thrift items! I am such a fan of the shade of green that you used on the fireplace it looks 1000% better, I have a chair that I plan on painting & I believe that I will use that celery chalk paint & then I will slipcover the 2 cushions with dropcloth ...I also love the wall color, too. i'm glad to see that i'm not the only person with a smaller tv in their living room. looks like you have the same tv that i have in my living room. i just don't watch a lot of tv, so when i do my 28 inch smart tv works just fine :)

Good question! There is also heat safe paint, specifically for fireplaces that you can purchase if you are worried about that component!
