I'd be lying if I said I never felt like Corbin while watching this series (especially during the first half of season 2, which was all slow horror reveals). Especially after that big, heroic battle against the whale, and all that setup with the factions... to suddenly be trapped in the mansion and Sanctuary for a season felt like a separate anime and problems. I was all smiles by the end of the season, though.
To me season 2 separates the people that like the show for the writing, and those that like it for the return by death and action elements. Not saying either is more correct than the other. As a novel reader I love season 2 but admit it can be a slow burn, it does have a strong payoff though for sticking through.
I mean I know what your saying. But I just think "sticking through it" is not doing it any justice. I loved watching season 2. And not just for the climax. I thing you get a lot of payoff and a very compelling story throughout the whole season. I guess what it boils down to is that not every story is meant for everyone. And if you don't like watching it or aren't getting what the author is doing there is most likely not a route for you where you will eventually start to like it. Espically if you are already settled for your opinion and not open to a new perspective. At least for the guy reacting I think that's the case. He is watching it with a bias and even if something crazy happens he will just hate no matter what. At least that's the feeling I'm getting.
@ yeah I mean I don’t disagree. Maybe “sticking through it” wasn’t the best phrasing, I enjoy the entirety of Season 2. Just saying for people who have problems with slow pacing it makes sense that it’s a drag.
Better is an opinion that requires some argument. S3 is certainly paced a little better and is a lot more straightforward. And the new animation is shit hot, so it has that going for it.
4:33 Windows XP, but close enough. 😊

Peak anime, no doubt. I've probably seen this episode around 20+ actual times, but it is always hype and fun and anime af!

While it's not bad, season 2 is my least liked season. Season 3 is much better.

@@ChiefBones In other words, better.
@@Diinytro different, not better.
