🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Nice!
I had python jerky before it's pretty good.
Try Cameroon 🇨🇲, we have 200 tribes . Culinary diversity is impressive . Each tribes has his own food
This channel describes itself as a Food Review show. But in reality it's the National Geographic of UA-cam. History, culture, humanity...it's all rolled into one here. One of the better sources on the internet for learning about the world.
Food is life. It all revolves around the culture…Isn’t it great?
So true, that's what I think as well
@@pscascott l00

My ultimate favorite thing about this channel other than the fact that Sonny’s funny is that he literally tries anything but not as a dare but as genuine curiosity and quest for discovery. That’s really respectable
also out of respect for different cultures :) When you are invited somewhere you dont diss the food :D
YES
@@brainache555 As Andrew Zimmern said, turning away food that is offered is insulting, so no matter what, you graciously accept their offer and if you find it repulsive, you do everything in your power to keep it down. "Andrew spat out Durian and really offended the farmer whom offered it. so he learned."
Monetary gain
@michael stclair with his charisma and team, Sunny could probably do a number of other channel themes. He has to genuinly respect cultures and enjoy what he does for this level of quality.
I wonder what it feels like to know you've gone through so many rare experiences like this and almost no other person on the planet can compete with the level of travel and experience - even huge film crews and studios would have a hell of a hard time matching the absolute quality, range, and character of this show
My thoughts exactly
As a Tanzanian 🇹🇿I’m proud of you for coming into our country and having great experience with my brother and sisters 🇹🇿👏🏾
Thank you for continuing to show us different cultures all over the world and by doing so reminding us we're all human at the end of the day.

I'm glad to learn.
do u eat raw blood? I don't think can, though I don't mind cooked blood
Tanzania is indeed a beautiful country
@@wanderingakii8729 the country is huge, with landmass the size of german and france combined. there are 120 tribes with a population of about 60 million. With that comes different cultures and traditions meaning not all Tanzanians eat what you see in this. As matter of fact even some of the people from those villages living in cities dont eat like that.
Am a Tanzanian too but most of these things shown here are new to me. Its a reason i love this channel.
Not bad but don't eat poop filled instestines bruh, y'all need to clean that out more properly...
I Take My Hat Off To You Sonny. You are One Of a Kind. You are Definitely One of Few and or none who is 110% open to traveling, no discrimination, no disrespect, no Hate towards one country, way of living or anything of that sort. You are An Amazing Human Being. Love from Montreal, Canada 💕
Man, this guy must be the most open-minded American right now with all the experiences from different places. I love the content!

This channel has become more than just a Food review channel. It is the tour of the world, exposing different cultures and societies from different parts of the globe through the lense of cuisine. Great work guys!
He is one of the most hands-on food blogger and never ridicules different food habits all over the world.I love this guy,Hope he live long and so do I to see him ❤️
Love your show Sonny, please keep bringing people of the World together through food, love and respect

hi dad
I find myself trying to like the videos a few times every time I watch. I love your videos! One of the only reasons I am ever on UA-cam
I LOVE HOW RESPECTFUL YOU ATE TRYING THESE TRIBAL FOODS
As a Tanzanian (currently in the diaspora that hasn't been home in 4 years), thank you for visiting our country! I had no idea there was a tribe that coexisted with snakes though, so even as somebody who grew up there, you learn something new everyday! I love your show, your sincerity and ability to connect with everyone you come across is truly inspiring. I'm sure that you've probably already left but nakutakia safari njema, an karibu tena Tanzania!
As a Namibian 🇳🇦 I must say Magufuli is the best African president we have ever had.
The only president that managed to develop a country without loans and aid!
Karibu rafik. Much love from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼🇿🇼
Well, for us Sukuma it has been that way. Snake dances are so common...

Sonny is a great guy, he attempts to always fit in to other people's culture that is precisely the secret of his success.
"The okra makes it slimy. It's a very fun texture; I love it!"
And this is why this is my fave food channel. Open-minded, honest, respectful, and ego left right out of it. I recommend it to everyone I know.
This Tanzania series has been so cool. It's really changed my perspective on the importance of seeing, understanding, and respecting the meat you eat in a way a PSA video or a vegan zealot just can't. Huge respect. 🙏
Your welcome 🇹🇿
Dead, acidic, demonic food isn't a celebration. I will have my plant-based food all day. Longevity and cleanliness are what I am after!
@@tonye.5410 Enjoy your kale and carrots, my friend.
I'm African, never left Africa, but what I'm seeing on this show is something I really didn't know... Sonny has been bringing Africa to Africans
It’s normal. I am “European” and there are different customs and foods and languages every few miles sometimes. And Africa is several times bigger than Europe. This is true meaning of curiosity and learning.
You can travel by bus very cheaply across Africa.
@@hassshoban8206 lmao you clown

So proud of this people. Real African people. Their traditional spirituality is very important. They have not abandoned nor surrender their traditional beliefs completely to a foreign religion.
i love the transition that took place when he said "holy cow!" and the editor literally showed us a cow immediately
Hands down you guys should be on Netflix or any streaming platform. Unreal videos, excellent editing and so engaging. Again Hands down my favourite channel and always so excited to watch. Much love from Australia
i see this mentioned so often that i'd be surprised if something wasn't in the works already. the production quality is outrageously good. easily the best channel on youtube.
Not everyone cares for Netflix.
I've watched a ton of you tube videos and can honestly say, there are very few that I find entertaining enough to watch regularly on TV. However, this particular channel Is probably the first I would look forward to watching.
Netflix ruins everything it touches. They've made like 5 good original shows throughout all their production.
I agree
I'm from Kenya and watching this made me appreciate our traditional foods and the similarities between Kenyan and Tanzanian cuisine
Like me watching this while having chapati😂😂🇰🇪

I really like how the comments are commonly full of people from or near the region Sonny is visiting sharing their thanks for Sonny showing the world part of their culture.
Its how you know Sonny not only helps show how things really are, but does so in a very respectful way meant to just share the real experience of the people there with the world.
Hopefully we can preserve this world well enough so these tribes can live in nature for a longer time. Thank you for showing this
