    schaeffer's citrol works great on tar and good all purpose shop cleaner

    We used rain x after we waxed the trucks on the windows and the front of the semi,we used to drive through some river towns to help keep flies from sticking and some towns have seasons of fish flies and they get thick

    I use WD40 to remove road tar from my cars... works great

    A little heat will also help with tar removal. Heat gun, or a hair dryer...for tough spots.

    Buy yourself a container of "Goo Gone" or "Goof Off." Or, simply use some VM&P naptha. Kerosene or diesel will also work and not harm paint. With tar that thick that's been on long enough to harden, it will take more than one application of any type of remover to get it off.

    Plain old kerosene will remove road tar.

    It's pricey but top coat F11 after its applied tar bugs sap dustvor anything else will wipe right off with a wet microfiber towel

    You can buy a cheaper version at auto parts stores but I don't know how they work I have used F11 and its amazing

    Kerosene or diesel nothing works better, just don't get in on the windshield wipers.
