I know it's been difficult for you and I am so proud that you managed to film this 🥰💖 I'm usually the planner (TM) of the group, that's where my adhd thrives 😂 my friend even told me that the holidays with me were the most detailed, planned and structured holidays she ever had 😂
I really appreciated you having us all go around and introduce ourselves at the Soul Eater shoot! It's like so simple in hindsight but it's something I wouldn't have thought to do at the time. Knowing everyone's name/pronouns/favourite meme will stick with me forever 🐼
The pose references are SUCH a good tip because I always forget my poses once I'm in front of the camera lol and it's so much easier to communicate what you want to do when everyone has a visual guide :)
@@herbst.zeitlose I have the same problem! Pose refs have saved my ass more times than I can count because thinking on my feet is not my forte ahahah 😅

thank you for another informative video! Your content is a huge help to baby cosplayers like me 🥹 I just started cosplaying more this year and it can feel a bit lonely since I’m already in my late 20s and most people started younger. I’ve found your photo editing, posing, and photoshoot videos so helpful before and after a big con I attended last month! I’m sorry the algorithm hasn’t been treating your channel well lately - but at the very least I do see your videos in my subscriptions tab so I don’t really miss any 😊
@@christal_x That means a lot, thank you so much for watching and for your kind words! 🥹🫶🏻 Also glad to hear at least someone is seeing my vids pop up, unfortunately most people I've heard from haven't been shown them but oh well we carry on and try our best I guess. 🥲
Thanks for making this video! Ik I’m a way smaller creator, so it’s not nearly the same, but the algorithm really makes creating things you care and are super proud of so difficult and dreadful sometimes lol. But hang in there! I love your informative vids and have been watching them for years! They’ve helped me become the cosplayer I am today and I appreciate you 🩷
Some really awesome ideas here!! I just participated in a seven person photoshoot recently, my first large group, and it was definitely chaotic. So many logistics and problems we didn't consider and it's comforting to know that those kinds of things are normal and avoidable with some planning
@@clairegolde9266 Oh for sure, I've totally been there and it can be overwhelming! But like you said, these things can be avoided with some planning, and it all gets much easier the more you do it. 😊
I've done a couple photoshoots outside of conventions now and yet you bring up so many good points that I've never even thought of! Esp adding the address of the nearest hospital is such a smart thing to do! :o I'm actually going to a group photoshoot next weekend so I'll totally keep this video in mind for that and for future use
This was really useful! I have always wanted to coordinate a photoshoot but never knew how to go about it, so thank you for putting together this video!
These are all so helpful! I didn't even think about like half of them for a recent shoot and tbh this would've been so helpful prior to it XD Got all the good tips for the next one
Thank you! I’m planning on making a photoshoot with my friends and this really helps 😁 I’ve been a fan since 2020 and your channel kinda well helped me to style wigs and try sewing ☺ I hope you do better and have a good day ✨
I'll be saving this! I've coordinated 2 big-ish photoshoot (7-11 people), it really is a lot of work... which is why I told them that I won't be hosting another big one until next year XD One thing I struggle most is setting up a budget, different people different economy. But I've learned to reach out to people AFTER there's an estimation on how much the budget would be to keep the commitment until the day of the actual shoot (which is another different problem: scheduling). All in all tiring as it is I always end up having fun ^^
Hey, thank you so much for the video!! I've been cosplaying for a couple years but only recently have I started thinking about doing photoshoots proper, so this really helps :)
Great tips Anya! I have a video suggestion for you. Will it be possible if you can make a cosplay tips video about staying confident or not embarrassed in a public while cosplaying? I struggle with that sometimes sense having multiple learning challenges.
@@cartoonprincessnellie8260 Hmmm I'd have to think about what I personally do because I've never really thought about it, but I could definitely see about putting something together.
@@AnyaPandaOkie thank you so much! I just feel like it be helpful for us cosplayers with special needs. I get really shy and stuttery when someone talks to me sometimes :)
Great video, I love the informative-style videos and the sewing ones! I'm curious, have you or any other cosplayers you know ever had any issues with bringing certain props to photoshoots? I figure it is kind of like convention rules with making sure nobody brings any kind of live metal, projectiles, etc., but even then I would still be kind of hesitant about bringing certain props, especially since non-cosplayers might not immediately register if something is made of plastic or foam or something, especially from a distance. Would you suggest something like trying to book a place to take photos as opposed to doing it somewhere public if a cosplayer wants to bring a weapon prop, or is it just something generally best left out of the shoot regardless of the location? As someone who enjoys making sword props but has yet to try bringing any to a photoshoot, I am really curious to hear your thoughts on it!
@@mocha45375 For sure! I haven't personally had any issues, but I don't bring out big props very often. What most people do is phone the non-emergency police line and let them know beforehand that you'll have a realistic-looking prop in the area. That way if anyone calls the police on you, they'll know the situation already.
On Dec 1 I'm going as lemon meringue in a group of strawberry shortcake characters, I know you've talked about this before but I have blonde hair, so do I need a wig? I've usually cosplayed characters that don't require me wearing a wig like apple jack mlp.
