can't believe people in my gen had this played at their weddings! it's a straight up stalker song. But I can totally see it as J/B. Every perosn has their polar opposite,someone who is their antithesis. Jeremiah is a reminder of what he could easily become if he lets down the guard he has over the darkness inside,and Bruce is a reminder to Jeremiah of what he could have been had he handled his a little bit better.
I used to think it is a stalker/romance song. Until I know the song was written by a group called The Police. Then I start thinking of it as a police threatening criminals song. And I feel quite safe listening to it.
