it upsets me how much jerome has been tortured all his life. no wonder he grew up to be who he is....our poor son has been abused forever and no one helped him. this was a great tribute to jerome thank you

littlesociopath people are saying that jeremiah is supposedly gonna become the “real” joker but after what he did to jerome i dont think i can accept that i will simply hate the character and u just cant hate the joker so the show will be basically ruined.
i do think the writers know that making jeremiah the joker is a bad move. I still think Jerome is the one, 'cause his past stick with the nature of Joker in the comics.

How did you reach that conclusion? Jeremiah had a twin brother that wanted to kill him throughout his childhood. And while it's sad in a way that Jerome was beaten & hated, it was because he was insane and trying to kill his own twin brother who was ironically a genius & a nice guy. I thought it was an act at first & Jeremiah was just burying or hiding his insanity. But it turns out he actually was genuine and is only crazy NOW because Jerome made him a special toxin from Scarecrow that MADE Jeremiah turn insane. All just to carry on Jerome legacy of chaos & insanity. Jerome was definitely the crazy & evil one. He was just being delusional when he said "u turned everyone I loved against me." But it's not Jeremiah's fault he's a genius while Jerome is a homicidal maniac, nor was it his fault that his mom sent him away to protect him from Jerome.

But Jeremiah said "we both know you wanted to" (kill him) "I tried telling mom but she wouldn't listen." That's why he ran away. He also says "You blame me for everything but the truth is, you were born bad." And he's right, Jerome said when Jeremiah left she shut him out, poisoned by his stories. But put yourself in Jeremiah's shoes...he was just a kid, living in a circus/carnival with a shit mom & an insane, unpredictable brother who clearly tormented him at least with threats whether he meant them or not. He was terrified of Jerome, feared for his life, so he ran away. U can pity Jerome for the torture & beatings by his uncle & being cast oit by his mom, but that has nothing to do with Jeremiah. His uncle & mother were evil. Are u going to tell me that u wouldn't have done the same thing? Run away from your horrifying brother & crazy family to protect yourself, try to stay alive & actually create somewhat of a life & put that intellect to good use like he did. Would u stick around just cuz u didn't want to hurt Jerome's feelings? Imagine the torment & paranoia Jeremiah dealt with every waking moment/sleepless night wondering if Jerome would try to hurt him or worse. He did what he had to do, the SANE thing to do. Get the hell out. That doesn't make him evil and jt makes him the opposite of crazy. He'd be crazy if he stayed there. You can't blame a kid for running for his life, even if he stretched the truth to his mom about Jerome. He was a child, if some exaggeration would get him out of there, then embellish what u have to. In the end, his mom still wouldn't listen to him, so she didn't care a ton for him either. So he ran. And he was right. Jerome turned out to be exactly what Jeremiah was afraid of & I would have done the same thing & if anyone says they wouldn't have ran away from that guy too, they're either lying or as crazy as Jerome lol. Jeremiah did what he had to do & to call him evil for that makes absolutely 0 sense. And to call him CRAZY for that defies all logic, with no possible explanation/argument to support him being crazy for being a scared little kid just trying to survive.
They're both bad.

Well I think he was a little bit like a dad figure to jerome (maybe only a very very small amount but still) and then he went and killed him only driving jerome more insane.
