    Every time I hear her play Mendelssohn it makes me cry. Such a beautiful performance. And I am not classically trained. Neither are me ears. It's just divine.

    Such emotion, wonderful, complete, soothing, and very, very talented! Beautiful Instrument also, and I think the best I have heard.

    She plays from the soles of her feet. Beautiful, passionate, wonderful phrasing and articulation. One of those artists who displays more than performance, but actualization..in a sense becoming the music and expressing from the inside the work, rather than interpreting from the outside...if you can catch my drift. Quantum violinist.

    Mendelssohn was GENIUS! If he were a metal he'd be GOLD.
    Love this performance of Mrs. AAM! So talented. I love to look at her beautiful face-- and her focused concentration. Of course, what a sound-- I put on my headphones at most high volume when listening to her playing!. Have a healthy day here in pandemic March 2020. Love to your children and friends. I have absolutely no doubt that she is a medium violin player,i have played this peace 25 year's ago,but she cannot compete with stars like Maxim Vengerov,she sounds like a really good student!

    I’m new to classical music this was very enjoyable for me. I’m just learning listening everyday. This concerto is exciting it makes me tense is that a normal reaction?

    • @jimskrydlak5848
      @jimskrydlak5848 2 роки тому

      Most concertos are in three movements. The first movement is usually moderately fast, and frequently builds tension. The second movement is usually rather slow and, as such, releases the tension. The third and final movement is, more often than not, the movement with the fastest tempo, and is frequently quite cheerful (or, in Beethoven's case, triumphant).
      Now, to depart somewhat from that subject, there are four violin concertos that are considered the Big Four - the Mendelssohn, the Tchaikovsky, the Brahms, and the Beethoven. Listening to all four of them could be quite enjoyable for you.

    The powerful sound of this violin indicates that is the Viweuxtemps Guarneri del Gesu

    • @genehuangviolin

      AAM acquired the Vieuxtemps Guarneri in 2012, so the one you see here cannot be it. Most likely this is her Royal Spanish Strad.

      One needs not be "better" to be able to tell a difference… Some of the best teachers in history were not best performers… If one has heard this piece played a million times by all the greats that has been recorded throughout time, one would be able to tell exactly what is meant by her lack of technique and intonation, amongst a lot of other things….. sadly I have to concur, she does no justice to that spectacular instrument….

      I do have to agree there. This is such a beautiful piece and I can still somehow enjoy it, but this is far far away from the great recordings!
