Every time I hear her play Mendelssohn it makes me cry. Such a beautiful performance. And I am not classically trained. Neither are me ears. It's just divine.
She plays from the soles of her feet. Beautiful, passionate, wonderful phrasing and articulation. One of those artists who displays more than performance, but actualization..in a sense becoming the music and expressing from the inside the work, rather than interpreting from the outside...if you can catch my drift. Quantum violinist.
mi violinista preferida ,afinacion perfecta expresiva sonido calido hermoso tecnica segura y fluida, a diferencia de otros violinistas del momento esta violinista ni hace payasadas ni pone caras, simplemente toca todo perfecto con entrega absoluta
I have absolutely no doubt that she is a medium violin player,i have played this peace 25 year's ago,but she cannot compete with stars like Maxim Vengerov, she sounds like a really good student!
Mendelssohn was GENIUS! If he were a metal he'd be GOLD. Love this performance of Mrs. AAM! So talented. I love to look at her beautiful face-- and her focused concentration. Of course, what a sound-- I put on my headphones at most high volume when listening to her playing!. Have a healthy day here in pandemic March 2020. Love to your children and friends. I’m new to classical music this was very enjoyable for me. I’m just learning listening everyday. This concerto is exciting it makes me tense is that a normal reaction?
Most concertos are in three movements. The first movement is usually moderately fast, and frequently builds tension. The second movement is usually rather slow and, as such, releases the tension. The third and final movement is, more often than not, the movement with the fastest tempo, and is frequently quite cheerful (or, in Beethoven's case, triumphant). Now, to depart somewhat from that subject, there are four violin concertos that are considered the Big Four - the Mendelssohn, the Tchaikovsky, the Brahms, and the Beethoven. Listening to all four of them could be quite enjoyable for you.
I think im in love with you anne akiko meyers well i dont know a lot about classical music but since i watch you play violin with very deep emotion ... Makes me enjoy your music so well
When the student is ready the teacher will appear. There are a few good books to learn about classical music. Classical music for dummies, 50 great classical composers are a couple.
Sie hat ein vollkommenes absolutes und relatives Gehör, einen übermenschlichen Fingersatz, Bogenführung und Interpretationsfähigkeit ! Sie übertrifft an allen Punkten alle sonstigen bisherigen Virtuosen ! !
Korea needs more of this -- and not North Korean bombs. this is incredibly beautiful Romanticism- Mendelssohn was genius too.. I continue to wait for her bow to shred her strings. Wow. For more on romantic esthetics visit www.aynrand.org. Thank you, Mrs AAK. $

BRAVISSIMO! this lovely lady plays some of the most sacred Romantic music ever composed-- like a genius performer!! Thank you, Mrs AAM. FOR MORE on the esthetics of Romanticists like the writers Hugo and Dostoyevsky please visit the thinkers at www.aynrand.org.
One needs not be "better" to be able to tell a difference… Some of the best teachers in history were not best performers… If one has heard this piece played a million times by all the greats that has been recorded throughout time, one would be able to tell exactly what is meant by her lack of technique and intonation, amongst a lot of other things….. sadly I have to concur, she does no justice to that spectacular instrument….

Such emotion, wonderful, complete, soothing, and very, very talented! Beautiful Instrument also, and I think the best I have heard.

Belo Anne Akiko Meyers!!
Belo....
Hilary Hahn holds my attention, I get in a sort of trance watching her on violin.
An Akiko Meyers appear on television about 30years ago.
She's amazing.
She's amazing! l love many of her performances and the fact she commissions new pieces. But I prefer the Mendelssohn played at a slower tempo.
The powerful sound of this violin indicates that is the Viweuxtemps Guarneri del Gesu
AAM acquired the Vieuxtemps Guarneri in 2012, so the one you see here cannot be it. Most likely this is her Royal Spanish Strad.
Excalibur to King Arthur, Vieuxtemps Guarneri to Anne Akiko Meyers.
why do all the basses have like 5 or 6 strings?
Wonderful girl

光用聽好有感情,利害.
Which violin was Anne using during that year?
stradivarius!
I loved it! But isn't that the most expensive violin in the world? It doesn't looked cleaned. (Rosin residue.)
SO LOVELY. BOTH THE VIOLINIST AND THE MUSIC. Mendelssohn was genius. for more on Romantic esthetics your fans can visit www.aynrand.org
genial version del Mendelsohnn de Anne Akiko Meyers con supersonido claridad y velocidad
Beautiful refreshing tone and expression. Perhaps she does rush over the passagework a bit too much!
Passagework ?

is this Japanese music? so great...
It's Mendelssohn violin concert, and he's in Germany.
This violin sounds better than the one she played in the Beethoven.
This violinist must be superior to the legendary Paganini. FANTASTIC! For more on Romanticism visit the academic thinkers at www.aynrand.org

The only thing amazing here is the heavenly sound of her violin… (despite the less to be desired interpretation)…..
Funny thing, when she stopped playing, I couldn't hear that heavenly sound from her violin...
Wows chicks
Her technique and intonation are questionable.
+Issad Jr if the required amount of practice is done, yes.

I do have to agree there. This is such a beautiful piece and I can still somehow enjoy it, but this is far far away from the great recordings!
