- Selling my DW 7000 Double Bass pedals on ebay, will list them Sunday 10/18/09. These are the newest version with the wider foot boards and double chains - very nice, like new condition.
Cool - Merry Christmas!
@DakahriGT I don't believe these are better than the 5000 pedals. These don't feature the Delta Ball Bearing Hinges from DW. The 5000 has the universal assembly for the double's link. And most of all, the red colored 5000's just look amazing! :D
@Nootherlove1 it did play smoother, and the footboard didnt wobble. but most 5000's that are sold at music stores have a different cam on them. its a bit smaller than a 7000, so its faster, just not as much power behind it.
Yes, a little heavy. I like to push them down to hit center of the drum so the extra weight works for me.
@RECO9515 i think that just holds the drum key that comes with it.
Hi ive got stagg pedals i know they're maybe not quite as awesome but they work for me :P I was wondering how you got them to press down so easy...do you just get rid of all the tension from the springs?
@xthatx90sxshowx did that make a big difference, or does the 5000 still work better.
Thanks
Have you tried out an 8000 Series pedal? And if so how does it compare to the 7000?
at 00:01 you can see a silver peice coming out just below the pedal. i have these pedals (slighly older version) but i dont know what that is for. can you tell me?
@ivecadit i understand what he's saying. Some pedals, you can twist that nut on the spring until it falls off and they dont loosen. I think he's wondering what that problem might be b/c i've had the same thing happen to me but with single pedals
I would pay $100 for them for sure. I found them as good almost as the more expensive DW5000. Just make sure the DW7000 your looking at are the ones with the double chain because the older ones had a single chain like the older DW5000. I found the double chains better. However, I see most of the speed metal guys don't plays the DW pedals, and go more for the Axis or other long board pedals or the Tama Iron Cobra, all good choices. The best thing is get out and try some. Good luck!
@NoClassPlz no dude i used to have the problem its just when you set them up make sure to tighten it alot
@DakahriGT the 5000 has a ball bearing hinge. its a lot faster. but you can just buy a hinge for $30. thats what i did.
How much did this cost and where did you get it? Please answer soon.
@ivecadit
hey what is the difference between a Double Chain Pedal and a Single Chain Pedal?
Thanks for asking, but I did sell it on eBay. I think I got something like $140 for it?
Yes
How much are thhe original prices?
and how much are they worth nowadays?
Wow - that's crazy. Haven't heard of them ever falling apart before. Take them back and get something beefier.
It is basically the same, with little more adjustability. The 9000 is more different than the other two.
@ivecadit Which do you like better & why?
@drumerboy825 idk its really weird it doesnt look like it holds a drum key. i finnally just took it off.
The 9000 is by far smoother, but very expensive. The 7000 feels a lot like the 5000 but much less money so that's a good option if money is tight.
how is this different from the 5000 it has a double chain to
are you still selling it and how much is it or was is
no i know what both of those are its the little silver handle looking thing. towards the bottom of the baseplate
I decided I will buy your pedal for whatever price you were thinking. I guessed it was probably too high since you didn't state it specifically, so I went ahead and asked you if you would take 10% less than whatever it was you were thinking. Been waiting for 9.5 years for you to respond back, but I know I will never find another one of these in a million years so just name your price and lets proceed. We still have to agree on a better price on the shipping.
Uh, loosen the springs? Is that answer your question?
They're $240 new, I think I sold these on eBay for about $180 or so.
Sorry, sold them already last month. Thanks
these are actually a lower end of the 5000s
HOW MUCH ARE THESE PEDALS?
can u double kick on them????
i heard 3 months of this pedals makes the left pedal squeeky
These things fall apart when I play them for more than 1 song :( I got them this Christmas
Still confused because your question seams kind of basic, these are like 90% of all other drum pedals, you just turn the nut at the button of the springs. Are you a drummer?
lol...it doesn't have enough tension..notice how it wobbles when he lets go...
@tuty94fruty not really
No, i've only played the 7000, 5000 and 9000.
i can play lamb of god and dt stuff with this easily. (sorry for english is not my native tounge)
small foot boards
Those are the worst pedals i have put my feet on
