Diving in Kubbar Island, Kuwait [HD]

Diving the rocky reefs of Kubbar Island in Kuwait. This Arabian Gulf is one of the hottest seas in the world. Its coral is probably the most thermally tolerant there is; and that ability is constantly pushed to its limit because of Kuwait's soaring temperatures and the shallow average depth of the Gulf.
With water temperatures expected to increase in the decades to come, further coral bleaching is a likely threat to this marine environment.
It's an interesting spot for benthic (seabed) critters. Studies suggest that the abundance of sea urchins is partly due to the Gulf's very warm and unclear water.
