I loved this! Thank you so much for sharing your tips for real practical self care for us. I feel so inspired and supported by all your tips and will be working with them. I struggle with overwhelm/burnout as a homeschool mom. I noticed that the typical selfcare rituals recommended by others really weren’t really cutting it. It’s funny but I started making a detailed daily to-do list just like you talk about because it’s so true - when you have homeschooling kids it’s crazy how the day fills up and you have to be realistic about how much can be accomplished. Thank you 🙏🏽🤍

So many self-care lists are just too fluffy. And the realistic to-do list helps you see all the things you're actually doing in a day.

Great self-care tips! It’s so easy to put your own mental/physical/emotional health on the back burner when you wear that many hats. I think all homeschool moms can relate. 😅
You mention that you love reading. What are your favourite genres and/or authors? 😊

I'm a huge romance reader, especially rom-coms. I'm currently in a hockey/sports romance kick. I'm also a Tessa Bailey fan.

Thank you! We might be spiritual-homeschool mom-sisters! I plan weekly. I meal plan. I have hobbies. I bake (sourdough bread is a bit of an obsession). I walk daily (and even work out a few times a week). I have figured out the code to take a mom's-day-out day. PS: My meal plan (in case it might be helpful for someone) Mondays are for Beans/ Soup (often in the crock pot or pressure cooker); Taco Tuesday; Family Favorites or Burger night (hamburgers, chicken, fish, or sloppy joe's); Thursday is Chicken & Rice night (chicken with gravy, Indian Butter Chicken... dozens of ways to make chicken with rice), or Thursday is Breakfast for Dinner night; Friday is always a meatless or fish dish; Saturday is when I'll make something big or something new or we go out. Sunday is Random Leftover Night, we clear out the fridge from the week's meals and start empty for the new week.

Yeah! I'm more of a bread-machine bread maker (i just can't keep the sourdough alive lol). And your meal plan sounds amazing!

@@RaisingAtoZ thank you, it took a couple of years to map out the menu rotation and specific dishes per category. Each has no less than 4 and no more than 6. I have a second list of long rotation recipes we like.

@@RaisingAtoZ PS I don't bake or decorate cakes. Sourdough is my baking limit
