Hi Nicola, just finished a book set in early Victorian period, thought I’d share a snippet... Set around Blackfriars.. It was past midnight, and London was as quiet as she ever was: the sound of carriages never stopped completely, nor the cries and calls of the dwellers in the city, or the lively chatter of the Mudlarks at the side of the river, picking through the detritus the Thames coughed up for any items of value .... 😊 Love your detritus!
That is sooo cool! I live that passage! ( : Nicola doesn't do it for money, though, but for sharing the historical significance of each piece she finds and hopefully getting to share what she finds with the world! That's why I love watching her soooo much!
I’m a new subscriber and I couldn’t agree with Mrs. Murray more! Your mudlarks are not only fun and and relaxing to watch but informative and educational too!
Every time you find a pipe, I’ve starting shouting “Une Pipe!” It alarms my cats but I have fun. Thank you for helping make Sunday afternoons a bit more lively ❤️
You had such a good day for finding treasures. I gave a loud shout of happiness for you when the pipe and then the blue bottle were intact. My husband came running to see what the fuss was about, lol. I told him "I really live in the wrong part of the world. I'm a land-locked mudlarker here with no treasures to look for."
Hope you enjoyed your birthday Nicola! I can’t believe I haven’t got to watch this video until today! It was worth the wait. Love the pipe and your New Cross bottle 😀 Beautiful glass fish 🐟 Wishing you blessings xx
You said, "Place your bets," and I immediately thought, "It'll have a stem!" But what a stem! So lucky. Happiest birthday, Nicola! You're looking fantastic, by the way.
I like how you always include scenes of the birds, nature, landscape, etc. It's so peaceful and relaxing to watch. Of course, I enjoy watching you find treasures, too, and hearing a bit about your research on a given item. Happy Birthday, Nicola!
My absolute favorite is the Masonic pipe. My heart was beating so fast as you extracted the stem to find it was whole. Like you I love the old pipes. I have a collection of old bottles here in Georgia USA both clear, brown and the deepest blue but my heart is with the pipes. 🥰 Thank you for this video, I was worried about you. ❤️
