I’m so happy for Simonous! He was due. It took my breath away! I would have went yelling up and down the beach! Si is so humble! I think he was just stunned!!!
I just got laid off from my 6 years job today, I’ve been crying and having a panic attack for 4 hours and this video couldn’t come at a better time to give me something else to think about.
Been there. It's quite overwhelming to seek work, as one must. Don't forget that the best position for you might take two steps to reach. The temporary position will teach something you need to know for the next, better step. Good luck!!
Sorry you're having a tough time. Your health is the most important thing. Look after your mental health before anything else. I hope things get better soon.
The fact you are hanging out with the guys having a great time should inspire every woman to just be themselves. I applaud your genuine graciousness and lack of whining over the dirt. So fun.
Nicola, you looked like you thoroughly enjoyed your self well-done. Life is all about having fun and doing what you love most best mudlarker in the world you get that reward foreshore boo boom😅
Oh Si that beautiful full intact bottle. What a dream. Nic you are truly dedicated to your art. Sinking, never to be seen again, the rescue board, near at hand. But, Oh! turn over another item to look , even though your muddy doom calls.
Oh, Nicola! I am so jealous! LOL What a trip. I so enjoyed your adventure, and with a Roman pot thrown in for good measure! Take care, and keep having fun! Love & Hugs from Nova Scotia!
I don't think I have ever had so much fun watching a video before! Nicola and Simon together are the best and put that with the excitement of the Hovercraft History Hunters - what could be better? You piloted that hovercraft like a pro and you definitely were Simon's good luck charm for sure! Some nice finds yourself and of course the Queen of Pipes couldn't come away without some great pipe fragments as well. Such fun and so interesting - really enjoyed it!
Not many things to smile about these days -- but I cannot help smiling ear-to-ear when I watch your videos (and enjoy my Scottish Breakfast tea with lots of milk and honey!) -- thank you!
I graduated from the University of Colorado, whose mascot is the buffalo, 40 years ago. So it occurred to me that, while I'm not royal, I'm definitely an antediluvian buffalo! Thanks for the videos, I love to watch them.
Wow! What a fun time on the Thames!!! Thanks sooo much for letting us tag along, loved your brick! Congratulations to Simon! Hope you get to go again soon 😄
Fabulous fabulous fun!! What an adventure and stunning finds!! Simon's find made my heart skip a beat!! Your film making is excellent...so much better. and much more exciting than any drama on Netflix!! Thanks for sharing the joy!! Have a great week ahead!! 🤗❤
I recently discovered your channel, Nicola, I hope one day I can overcome my anxiety and venture out to Mudlark. Your videos couldn't have come at a better time for me. My lovely mum passed away in July, she was my best friend and absolutely adored History just as much as I do. I know she'd find your videos equally as fascinating. Thank you very much for sharing your discoveries with us all x
Hi Hayley. Im so sorry about the loss of your Mum. That is so difficult and Im glad that the videos can take you away for a while. I also hope you can overcome your anxiety and venture out to mudlark. I find that mudlarking actually helps anxiety as I am very much in the moment when I am searching. Almost like meditation. Sending you lots of love xox
Anxiety is simply a bad habit of thought (I tell you as someone who lost years of my life to it- such a waste 😖) Don’t let it steal one more moment of your LIFE- if you truly want to be rid of it- understand that the ONLY thing you truly have control is what you allow to go on in your mind. Nicola -- that lovely pipe-crook you found might be from a pub called "A Bird in the Hand" or at least is illustrating that moral adage. It is very stunning!
I wondered why so many people passed up on the bricks. I've always thought a cute wall made out of all those ancient bricks or even a barbecue made out of them would be really an eye catcher.
suedefringe he probably didn't want someone twisting an ankle if the makers mark was in the frog of the brick ( the indent). I put some in my paving but the writing was on a flat face and they seem to capture a bit of interest from visitors 👍😀

Oh my goodness!!! I was living vicariously watching you all in the hovercraft. Such fun! What a great group of guys with whom to go mudlarkiing. That Roman pot! WOW! 😘👍👍👍
Since the pandemic began, yourself and Simon unknowingly become close friends (and entertainment) with me as I work from home. Really enjoyed this video specifically. Thanks for sharing what you do and look for me purchasing from your shop soon!
An absolutely incredible day for everyone including us the viewers! I am so envious of your adventure today! Thank you so much for the opportunity to go along for the ride!

I'm so happy Simon, finding an old Roman pot in such great shape is the find of a lifetime , and a treasure !! Let us know how much that pot is worth , awesome for his collection...

What a great video, Nic! Seeing you maneuver that hovercraft, you are indeed "The Wild Woman of the Waters"! Some great finds, as always, but the highlight for me was watching your excitement and sheer joy out on the water. Thanks for the ride, Nic!
Brilliant ! I love the look on your face flying the hovercraft ..like a happy 14 year old. and Si's face with his lovely pot . this vid had lots of my favourite people and things
Really super video!!! Simon's pot is a true treasure! Loved your finds as well. It's amazing that you found the ink bottle way out their. I especially loved the little bit of pipe with what looks like a bird on it. Thanks for sharing:)
Huge congratulations on the finds of a lifetime!! I so enjoyed watching you having such fun with the hovercraft! This makes the top 5 posts easily! Thank you for sharing the adventure 👏🏻❤️
Nicola you have come such a long way since your first tentative videos! This is sublime. I'm so glad I found your channel when I did and happy to keep coming back for more clay pipes, bottles and coins, whatever the tide decides to wash up or reveal. Keep up the good work. and thank you.
What a great group, lucky you, Nicola. Wonderful that Si found an intact Roman pottery, so happy for him. That’s a great name you gave him. Good driving for a first timer. Your pipe end appears to have a bird on it. The brick is something that Mr Johnson would probably enjoy. Great video
What a wonderful outing Nicola. You looked like you were having the time of your life. Loved all your finds, especially that stunning brick. For that to have survived in such pristine condition, is nigh short of a miracle. Beautiful. Would love to see where you display that. I can tell from your face, that driving that Hovercraft was one of the most exciting things you have ever done. Well done. Thanks for taking us along for the ride Nicola and can't wait for your next video. Now have to wait for Simonus The Luck in the Muckus to post his pot that he found. :)
You looked like a pro at driving the hovercraft! It looked like fun. Great finds you found. The ink well is really nice and cool history behind the brick.
Simon was So lucky that was a fine of a lifetime so amazing I enjoyed this video as well as I enjoyed watching you and your discoveries awesome not letting you stay blessed and I will see you on your next episode👍💝🙏
Really enjoyed my time in London today. I am happy that you finally brought a brick home with you. That would be my go to treasure if I were fortunate enough to live in London. Thank you Nicola, my friend for sharing your adventure with me. With love and appreciation for what you do.
I was metal detecting on the mainland and saw these 3 hovercraft take off (do hovercraft take off?!) yesterday, Saturday 19th Sept. little did I know who was on board. They were very noisy!

Great vid!! Such fun watching y’all fly over the water/ mud!!! And very happy you got out of the muck unscathed!!! Great finds as well!! Si’s pot was amazing!!! Y’all find such great stuff!!! Would love to do the mud thing.. however physical limitations get in the way...I’m afraid my cane would get stuck and I would parish in a sea of muck!!! But maybe with a valuable pot in my cold hands, shouting ,”I’ve found it!!! Give it to Nic and Si!!!”.LoL😻
Nicola, so glad you got to drive the hovercraft...it made me smile watching you..even though I'm a 70 year old grandmother I'd still do it myself..thanks for this great video with SI and the other mud loving ppl
Hi interesting video, super find for Si Fi!, very much the James Bond girl in the video impressive handling of the hovercraft 😁. Looking forward to your next video take care xx.
What a great find Simon! The music you picked while you were having fun driving the hovercraft reminded me of the love boat music or Charlie Angels... around that time of all those shows.
I have so eagerly awaited this video and you did not disappoint Nicola!! I could almost feel the wind in MY hair as you flew across the water when you were driving the hovercraft! That looked like such amazing fun!! So glad you got to experience that as well as being there when Simon found that magnificent treasure! What a great day, mud covered and all!! Love from DeeAnn in GA, USA 🇺🇸
You were awesome piloting that hovercraft, Nicola, good for you! I love to see what they find in the outer reaches of the mudflats with those vehicles, and Si's Roman pot was unbelievable! Great video!
Great job HOVERING across the water Nicola, you're a natural, what a great video, tell Si congrats on the Roman piece, love your videos and adventures.
I absolutely loved this video! My husband caught me “ talking” to the screen when I got so excited with Simons find! You are a brave women to drive that hovercraft! Cindy🌸🌸🌸
I have been waiting for this video for awhile now! Si made an epic find!! Oh my gosh!! What a beautiful humbling moment!! Nicola you need a hovercraft in pink to match your boots! You handled it well!! You may need to carry a ski pole with you out there! Put a sling on it and carry it on your back. A swan with flared wings on the pipe? Or a pigeon with flared tail. Great video!!
I was smiling the whole time I watched this! Nicola, you were beaming with the fun of it! Please tell Simon that his Roman pot could definitely have been made in one go instead of in two pieces. It’s hard to do but very common. What a day you had!
Oh wow that was so exciting when you extracted that stunning Roman pot from the mud the smile on your face said it all I love your hover craft adventures and have to say Nicola looked like a professional at the wheel of the hover craft again thank you for the great view
Thanks Nicola. Old Scotland Yard had cells done in that type of enameled brick. It came in colors as well and was quite gorgeous and shined like fine tile work. Take care. Have a great week.🙂💜

Astonishing perfection🤗😍
Simonius Larkius!
Fantastic find - two seperate Roman pots within meters ( I presume) from each other; what are the chances after 2000 years. They must be priceless.
I have to admit tears came to my eyes when Simon extracted that Roman pot. It's so beautiful well done Simon.❤🇮🇪

Nicola you need a hovercraft in pink to match your boots! You handled it well!!
You may need to carry a ski pole with you out there! Put a sling on it and carry it on your back.

I was smiling the whole time I watched this! Nicola, you were beaming with the fun of it! Please tell Simon that his Roman pot could definitely have been made in one go instead of in two pieces. It’s hard to do but very common. What a day you had!

Thanks Nicola. Old Scotland Yard had cells done in that type of enameled brick. It came in colors as well and was quite gorgeous and shined like fine tile work. Take care. Have a great week.🙂💜
