Hey everyone! Just thought I'd comment this here. MOST of the subliminal community is not like this. The overwhelming majority is peaceful. This video is not about the whole subliminal community.
This video is just addressing the disturbing UNDERGROUND subliminal community. A very small part of the subliminal community that makes Upsetting subliminals.
Thought I'd just comment this here because some people are commenting without watching the whole video and are worried I said "all subliminals are bad". That doesn't happen in this video.

    • @wispisang
      @wispisang Рік тому +22

I feel like the reason why, and this is a lot of the explanation behind the desires in this video imo, is because they wanna have the “attention and sympathy” that comes with it. In their minds no one cares about them enough but if they had something tragic happen to them then people would care and be so sorry and fill that need for attention. They can be “the victim” who everyone feels bad for. The media likes to glamorize these kinds of things and the characters who go through it, they are the good guys, the misunderstood main characters, the important ones. But as people who have experiences a lot of this traumatic stuff know (myself included) THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN😀 Trauma isn’t fun, being bullied isn’t fun, being sexualized isn’t fun, and for me, I got not sympathy or attention for going through this stuff. Just 6 years of therapy. It just pisses me off how people glamorize stuff like this. I also have autism and I face a fair deal of discrimination and social judgment because of my “autistic” label, and I hate that fact. The fact that people want to have my disorder is just dumb, like no, you don’t, it isn’t just “being quirky” it makes your life SO difficult. Just ugh😒

I believe that the reason for the crying anime girls, the color pink, plushies, etc. being littered across the underground subliminal community is due to it all seemingly being romanticized/f3tishized? In a way, it reminds me of the ED community that would post fatspo, thinspo, and tips on how to get an eating disorder. I can understand where you're coming from because I was in the same boat as these people. When I had some traumatizing things happen to me, I genuinely believed I didn't deserve anything good to happen to me and it didn't help that the people around me would tell me that those things "weren't that bad". It got to a point where I wanted bad things to happen to me because I believed that would justify why I'm hurting so much. I'm no longer in that boat but I'm still battling these thoughts.

people (especially kids) want reasons for their pain. it’s easier to blame your suffering on something with a name; saying you have a terminal illness is the more effective way to get sympathy and attention than the indescribable loneliness and pain teenagers feel inside, and that’s why I think they want to manifest bad things happening to them. also, when your sexuality is only just developing, you tend to seek extreme forms of love and sex because it all seems the same to you, and you want the “hardcore” version of romance such as kidnapping and stalking because you want to feel wanted, if that makes sense. kids don’t understand the repercussions of horrific events like that. they just know they feel an intense desire and it manifests in extremity.

The part where they were talking about the "benefits of schizophrenia" just completely broke me. My brother and father both have schizophrenia. They're lives were completely ruined by it. And I'm still in recovery after my psychotic episode (I'm in a much better place now).
My psychotic episode was the worst and most traumatic experience of my life that will permanently affect me in some way. I lost nearly all of my friends and was a inch away from doing what the voices in my head told me to do and unalive myself. Not to mention also having social anxiety which I'm sure they also must have stuff for that too. Also not to mention but my sister literally has been sexually harrased by pedophiles multiple times. This dwarfes the fake mental health community.
    Edit:
I also forgot to mention the bullying thing. I have been bullied since the age of 7. In fact it has nearly caused me to unalive myself many times. Ever since the age of 9 bullying has caused unalive attempts for me. THE FACT THEY WANT TO GO THROUGH SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS SO DISGUSTING TO ME. Some of us want clear skin, some of us have tried EVERYTHING to lose weight and can't, some actually are victims of trauma who use mental health release subs and it's the only thing that works for them. To answer your question at the end for why underground subliminals use pictures of anime characters and plushies, it mainly has to do with the kinds of aesthetics that the underground subliminal community enjoy, at least from what I've seen. A lot of it stems from the traumacore community which branches out into the animecore and webcore communities. Traumacore is a coping mechanism in which users usually make collage-type images that usually include text depicting their thoughts next to nostalgic items associated with childhood, often longing to go back to when they were just a child. Some of the items depicted are plushies. As for anime characters, that can also be attributed to some nostalgia (at least for some anime), and for the newer characters depicted, some of that can be attributed to the user's desire to 'look pretty' and to 'be wanted', as many traumacore images explain. The color pink may also be traced back to nostalgia, as it's often involved much in people's childhoods, but I'm probably looking too deep into this and the users probably just like pink. As for Danganronpa? I honestly have no idea, I think the ug subliminal community just happens to like kokichi

And I understand that not the whole community is like this (in fact, while not subliminals, sometimes I use manifestation techniques to help me with mental health too). My disappointment about this situation mainly comes from the fact that I've seen many examples of people justifying their really destructive behaviour or the bad things they do to others as coping mechanisms to shut down any arguments. Sincerely, a formally diagnosed autistic person.

Totally agree. I’m very lucky in the case that my symptoms aren’t severe, as I’m high-functioning. But I still suffer from mental health issues in correlation to my condition. I hate to break it to the kids who think that autism is “quirky”. Because it ain’t nothing like what the movies make it out to be. If you’re lucky enough that you get a less severe case, so that you can talk and write, then I hope you’re prepared to suffer from crippling feelings of loneliness. Because you end up becoming paranoid that if you act like yourself around others, then they’ll find you weird and not come near you. Every day becomes a stressful, tiring battle.
So yeah. Sorry kids. But autism isn’t quirky. It’s something some people have to learn to manage and live with.

As an autistic person, it makes me really disappointed that people "quirkify" autism and make it this "soft and happy cutsey Hello Kitty life" but it's not. Having autism is really hard as sometimes you can be seen as weird or unstable. (And plus, most people think everyone's hyperfixiation is something like Sanrio or something cute but most of the people's hyperfixiation are stuff like the Sinking of the Titanic or True Crime cases) and most people who make these or watch the sub's either are gacha kids (like with the teachers crush sh1t or the slender virus or whatever is was called) or people who see disabilitys as "UwU aesthetic cutsey" acts (most of them are teens that don't understand)

also 100% people dont recognize how hard autism (and other mental/physical issues) is to deal with. it's so incredibly difficult to make long term connections with people, and a large amount of people (me included lol) all over the autism spectrum end up with severe social anxiety because people like these have such a weird and twisted understanding of it...

I've never had a struggle with depression, anxiety, or anything like that before, but I do have an older brother who is currently suffering from depression and anxiety and you can really see how negatively it affects his life. The fact that kids want that is disgusting especially because they don't realize that it's as big of a negative impact it has. Serious mental struggles and things are not something to joke about, they are not something to look at through videos of pink anime girls and plushies, and they are most definitely something that nobody should ever want to have. It is disgusting to me that people think they can "go on adventures with whoever they want whenever they want" by getting schizophrenia, or that they can " get kidnapped by whoever they want whenever they want as well as go home from the kidnapping whenever they want" the real world doesn't work like that, pedophiles will hurt you, kidnappers will hurt you, bullying will hurt you, and the world is not just your brains fantasy, people can kidnap you without letting you go home when you wanted to, and you do not want real dangers like that. If the reason you want to hurt is so that people will recognize your suffering and help you, know that you can get help without going through more suffering. Getting kidnapped won't help you even if it makes people realize that you need help. If you need help, go to your parents, they love you and will support you. go to a therapist, you can tell your therapist anything because like your parents, they are there to help.
And if you're worried about a therapist judging you or sharing secrets, know that it's their job to be non-judgmental and they are bound by law to not tell people your private information. Suffering should NEVER be something you WANT to experience.

Ok this is going to sound fucking horrendous but in this scenario I highly empathize with the viewers. (TW self harm/suicidal) When I was around 12 I was obsessed with wanting to self harm or commit suicide. I was hurting terribly and I had no means to express the level of pain I was going through. Nothing worked, and when an outlet didn't do it justice I felt even worse and in a way, invalidated. I was already invalidating my own pain because I thought what I was doing all this over was stupid and that I was overdramatic and therefore it was an embarrassment to be hurt by it. Self harm would prove to myself that my pain was real and I wasn't just being a pussy. Over the course of a year I tried multiple times to harm myself with scissors and knives but I could never get myself to fucking bleed. When the scratches faded away I was even more devestated. The lack of evidence for physical pain felt like a mockery of my pain mentally. I compared myself to people who did and felt my pain invalidated. My mentality was you can't be like them because you're not going through the same amount of pain, in fact everyone else tolerates this level of pain and you're just weak. You're too much of a pussy to live your actual life and you're to much of a pussy to struggle in a way that matters. But then again, these subliminal won't help anyone, ever, in the long term but they definitely do harm people, so I am against their existence but I am not against the people involved. Also I'm fine now I've found a way to better manage and cope with those thoughts.

To answer your last question, all the crying anime girls paired with the pink cutesy stuff is apparently an aesthetic called traumacore, which usually takes cute innocent things but twists them in a way, like idk a picture of a pink bathroom with hello kitty on it but it's distorted and has text like "please, no more" or like a pink hello kitty syringe or some traumatic stuff on there. It's all about childhood trauma and how the innocence was taken out of them and their most innocent time I guess but idk if it's used to romanticize trauma like this or if it's a (unhealthy) coping mechanism
and before you ask, I went on a deep dive through the aesthetic wiki once and remembered that because it seemed so weird and kinda disturbing to me.
Edit: also please know that the wiki page might be triggering or disturbing to some people, if you even think for a second that this might be too much for you, don't look it up, I've described it pretty well

I think it's an interesting form of art, it's dark to look at. Cute childish things mixed with adult problems and suffering seems very twisted and out of place yet that's exactly how it feels if you live in a dysfunctional family or go through a traumatic event. Even the art feels very wrong, it captures the children's feeling of unsafety, helplessness and fear very well.

I believe that it’s a healthy coping mechanism, since it’s technically a form of art. It can make people feel better and such, but I also believe it can be unhealthy if people use real images of gore or even SH in their traumacore pictures, which I’ve seen a couple times.
Putting hello kitty filters on a photo of a real bloody corpse is pretty fucked up in my eyes, and I’ve seen people who sort of “vent” about being unhealthily obsessed with their crush in really creepy, somewhat abusive and manipulative ways. **That is not healthy and shouldn’t be accepted in the traumacore community**

Subliminals for me were a coping mechanism to help the pain I was going through during one of the worst times of my life. I wanted to change my body so much... I actually wanted to transfer my consciousness to another human being and live their life. I didn't want to do it for any ill intent. I later wanted to learn from the person's perspective and mistakes to better my own life. I know how crazy I sound. I was even sent to therapy because of it. Subliminals are not a way out nothing is. The community has taught me to appreciate myself more.

Its sort of a pendulum swing to the other side where, instead of education and opening up about experiences, they removed the teeth and claws of the scary parts of mental illness. Instead of "hallucinations", its "daydreaming". Instead of "tics so bad they can cause muscle tears and nerve damage" its "ooooo i can't help it! Instead of editing, I'll just add a reply to this one. Helps engagement 😤
I can also say for certain *where* the whole Kokichi thing came from, but I cannot say *why*
This will involve spoilers for Danganronpa V3 soooo reader beweader you're in for a sceader.
So, long story short: Kokichi Ouma is a rival-trickster character in this game. His shtick is lying. You never know if he's lying or telling the truth. As the game goes on, he lies about being the mastermind of the game and uses his *intellectual prowess* to manipulate the others to his will, until he cannot do so anymore. During the 4th chapter, Kokichi has his Joker Moment. During the 5th chapter, he has his Batman's Parents moment. During the 6th chapter, the final chapter, it is revealed that the characters in the game are fictional (within their universe, and our own), and it creates this weird AU.
The AU is called (something along the lines of) The Pregame AU/Pre-brainwashing AU (I don't know the name, I'm too old for this shit) and basically the fans wrote this AU where the characters are complete opposite to their in-game counterparts. So. Nice characters mean, mean characters nice, etc. Its very shallow. Kokichi’s character probably suffers the most from this, as he is characterized in this AU as a cowardly soft boy with no spinal column, but they wanted him to keep his *intellectual prowess*, so he's an WUWU soft boy with BIG BRAIN and FEELINGS. so, people use this bastardized version of Kokichi as their trauma dumping ground.
He also flirts with both male and female characters, so fans interpret this as him being either asexual, or just fully gay. Don't ask me how this works. I just like the games.
TL;DR - fans took a neutered AU version of a popular character and superimposed trauma onto him that made him more appealing to *those people* in the fanbase.

I would pray to god since I never knew what was subliminal actually to make me sick or unconscious so that I can gain my parents love and affection.... 😔

i will never understand people's obsessions with wanting certain mental disorders.
like, i have autism, and it's hell (obviously not all autistic people will agree, but this is my opinion)
do people really want constant anxiety from being over stimulated by everything, have social skills so bad that you won't have friends once you get out of elementary school, being able to feel everything, from the tiny sliver of tag on your shirt that you can't seem to cut off, to every strand of hair going slowly across your scalp into your eyes, and even if nothing is touching you, you will still be bothered because you will always be able to see your nose, your eyelashes, a rouge skin flake between your eyes that no matter how much you dig and dig, it will never go away.
do people really want to never hear silence because you can hear everything, including hearing yourself blink and a constant ringing when there's seemingly no noise, and not being able to sleep because there's a bit of light through your window that no matter how far your pull the blinds down, will still be there, and once that light is gone, you'll then be kept up by the animals outside or a dripping faucet all the way in the kitchen, and if the noise stops, you'll then hyper fixate on a hangnail or a bit of skin on your lip that you just need to tear off or it'll bug you all night.
do people really want interests so niche that it will be nearly impossible to find someone who has the same interests as you or at the very least find someone who's willing to listen to you ramble on for hours about something your hobbies only to sit quietly while the other person rambles about something that you don't care about, so you'll space out and they'll get mad at you for not listening.
do people really want people to constantly forget you're autistic and get angry at you for something you can't control, but when you bring up that you're autistic, they'll say something along the lines of "well that doesn't give you and excuse to (insert whatever you were doing that you absolutely have an excuse to do)"
... if i had to guess, those of you with brains would say "no" but those people that still think they want autism will probably say "yeah, it sounds fun!"...

Why,why is there a community exists to solely create suffering? WHY? JUST WHY? Also, about the subliminal mental illness,I’m certain that those watching that type of subliminal content fake that stuff for clout and when they get their comeuppance it will serve as a alibi. Edit: It sounds like that I was targeting EVERYONE in the community,I’m sorry if it came off to you that way. Also,to whoever said it was a coping mechanism…..
It is,but it’s certainly not a good one,That is the type of coping your local therapist tells you to avoid. An example of bad coping is S3!f h@rm,That is a bad coping mechanism that hurts your body. The subliminal videos mentioned in this video are don’t do harm to your body, but your thinking,it keeps you in that bad mindset and pulls you deeper into your sadness and depression and gets you closer to su!s!de,but just because it isn’t harming your body, dosen’t make it excusable. No one says that stuff about self harm. So why are these videos getting defended? Update: There’s a war in the reply in the comment section,I’m just gonna ignore it. Also about the rant, sorry if it’s inaccurate.

@@lukapops bro you need to see a therapist. if your coping skills are reliving your trauma over and over and expecting to become numb to it, that’s called an unhealthy coping mechanism. this video didn’t target specific people and blocked out all of the commenters names. stop victimizing yourself because i guarantee you that every single one of the thousands of people watching that aren’t all people with trauma. some are easily influenced children/teens. you need to realize that.

    • @nyx8225
      @nyx8225 2 роки тому +1

@@lukapops also, those “people with problems” are, once again, posting their coping mechanisms publicly instead of keeping it to themselves and trying to find better ways to cope. they’re just influencing young children to do the same thing as them. you’re defending invisible people atp because no one asked you to speak for them. no person with unhealthy coping mechanisms would purposefully promote them online. you’re demonizing people with mental illness and trauma with your harmful actions and community. this ug sub community is utterly disgusting and i hope that you get the help you need instead of defending bad people’s actions. mental illness or trauma can explain actions but it doesn’t excuse them and doesn’t give you an excuse to make it other people’s problem.

Of course, no mental disorder or illness is “fun” at all. I agree with what you said, I just didn’t make my point well in the first comment
What I was trying to say was to not make any mental disorders/illnesses or traumatic experiences seem ideal. I don’t know why I brought maladaptive daydreaming into it, i’ll edit my comment to remove it
I thought my second part of the comment would clear things up, but I guess if the first half is misleading, right information doesn’t negate that
