As a Somali in the US, it’s super exciting to find an East African production on Netflix, the quality is top notch, I stumbled on it by accident and once I recognized the Nairobi skyline I had to look it up, I cannot stop watching since.
I'm Nigerian and we have a lot of Nigerian movies and series on Netflix but seeing other African countries being represented on Netflix makes me happy. I'm so excited for this one 🥰❤
Paseka Mqinebe I love African movies or series. I am from America and My List is so full of them. Friday and Saturday or my movie nights to watch and African movie.
YaaY for Kenya!!! Can’t wait! Now if we could get Netflix to diversify its content to represent more countries in Africa, we will really be able to claim we are watching “Netflix Africa”. ☺️
I wholeheartedly agree with this|!!! Most of the shows of "netflixafrica" are either nigerian or south african, great they have representation but at the same time Africa is so diverse and more countries need to be represented!! Go Kenya!! love from a young ghanaian x

Soo happy to see my country being represented globally, fellow kenyans, kindly lets support our own people and enable them create and give us more interesting contents
I loved it. The build up to the last episode is awesome. The main character still hasn't met her main adversary meaning there's still a lot to uncover in the 2nd season, with good writing it can only get better. The different stories the main characters are going through, awesome. The theme's it portrays, awesome. There's a lot to improve on, but still it was a great series. I enjoyed it. And the Kyalo woman.... almost made me change my name to Kyalo.
Taita represented too "Diwona" meaning "we shall see". Loving the show, but wish Shix could be given a better role. She is very natural and anytime she appears, the scene is very interesting. I love how kyalo and Anna brought a very interesting romance in the show, infact they were the one who really brought a good chemestry. Cant wait for season 2. Good job guys.
“I’m Nigerian but I love……, “I’m Kenyan and I’m here for ……., What does your identity have to do with appreciating the work. Even in Sesotho/Setswana, there are many words that sound like Swahili. If you look at numbers in the Swahili language, many of them are just like Zulu and Sotho numbers, e.g. Nne, Tano, Pili are numbers in Swahili and I think we can relate to them. Mbali in Swahili means "far", while in Zulu it means "flower". When we say "mahlo" in Sesotho, they say "macho" in Swahili. I could go on the whole day 😂😂😂. Even meat in Swahili is nyama just like Zulu. I will just conclude by saying it's because we are Bantus and so there will be similarities in languages, haha.
