As someone who rarely takes off my Guardian Armor I can tell you this is absolutely true. Honestly most of what I do in the game at this point is guardian hunting so I can make weapons😂.
just kill lynels. the first thing i do when i wake up is no hit a gold lynel without champion abilities or using any weapon or shield durability to warm my fingers up. theres also unlimited gear. i have a 43 attach lynel spear, 99 attack lynel sword and 106 attack lynel crusher.
I used to always have the guardian set a lot, although barely now-more since guardians r ez, I now just collect giant ancient cores just for the sake of it
@NGMHyper Shoot them in the eye to stun them, run over and start cutting off a leg. Every time you cut off a leg it will reset the stun timer, so time them accordingly so the guardian never gains consciousness. Once all the legs are off, the guardian is immobilized. Now every time the guardian wakes back up, shoot it in the eye, and continue striking it with your melee. Make sure to have your bow and arrow ready to stun again BEFORE the guardian wakes back up, for the easiest experience.
My main outfits usually change up here and there. Ancient set for guardians, barbarian armor for lynels, snowquill tunic set for cold, flamebreaker for death mountain, and I've lately been running around with the korok mask, champion's tunic, and hylian trousers for my regular outfit.
yo same for the korok mask and champion's tunic, except I wear the ancient greaves for the ~aesthetic~ lately I've been wearing the korok mask, tunic of twilight and trousers of the sky . yes I am hunting all 900 koroks and have only fought waterblight so far.

I used the outfit link wears in his backstory. It just felt right to wear it as I mowed down every single type of boss in the game for fun. I literally farmed lynels as if they were just a low tier mob. I literally had fun as I had the lynels turn into an endangered species day by day waiting for them to respawn. Same with guardians, I'd see guardians and bully them. Eventually I'd get them to the low health before I call my horse and have them chase me for a bit as I jump off my horse to finish it off with my bow like Link did in the announcement trailer. Wish I could play again but I gave my uncle my switch a couple years ago. Might ask for it back soon as I have alot of things to catch up on now lol.
Haha I was waiting for royal guard and I AM guilty of going to the castle every moon. IN FACT, I even campfire through all the nights and wait for blood moons just so i can go to the castle. Castle, sleep, blood moon repeat. Royal guard all the way
Idea, those that wear dyed armours or mixed armours as their favourite are either artistic, story tellers, or buff mixers. (replay with other things these set types represent about a player)
I really liked this installment, your delivery has gotten a lot better already imo! Desert voe + ancient armour are my faves, glad they were included. The music could be a little quieter in some segments but other than that, excellent quality! Maybe you could include horse gear next time? :)

Being a Barbarian Main myself I can confirm that no matter what happens we’ll keep fighting; Weapon breaks? Switch and deal with it, Low health? Don’t get hit, Bad weapons? Find better ones or kill something and take it’s weapon.
I usually mix and match for whatever the need may be...or simply forget what link is wearing and run around in the flame suit all over hyrule. But for fun, my favorite suit is the phantom armor breastplate with tingle hat and tights simply because it looks ridiculous and every battle is more amusing this way! Also fun just running around in the bunny hood. Ah, the nostalgia.
My Favourite is Champion Tunic Hylian Trousers, Master Sword, Hylian Shield and Travelers Bow, I also love the Ancient/Guardian Weapons Designs(my Favourite One being The Ancient Bow)
i mostly wear majora's mask with the other stealth stuff, bc i do indeed like to just. wander around and look at the sights or collect my resources or whatever without interuption. until i suddenly feel a surge of bloodthirst and go into an enemy camp, wait for them all to come check me out, and then betray them all with urbosa's fury although recently ive taken to generating a randomised set of armour as a way to play dress up essentially. pretty fun to see what combinations you can make. on that note fierce deity trousers look good with a lot of things also also, sometimes i like to sorta roleplay a bit, like putting on the champion's tunic to draw the master sword, or wearing the soldier's or royal guard's set on my horse to 'patrol' hyrule, or wearing each region's respective set to fight the divine beasts (like the zora set for vah ruta or the gerudo set for vah naboris for example), its just really fun to play around with so many options!
The fact you didn't mention how the zora gear is made by your dead fiancée, also no warm doublet still sadness I like it more than most other green tunics, I usually rock the hylain pants and one of the amiibo link hats
feeling a little called out in that phantom ganon armour one. I literally have a video of myself in hateno village using a meteor wand and watching the chaos in that armour
It being called Breath of the WILD and giving me barbarian armor really makes it feel like I have to put it on, and rush every subsequent play through to get barbarian armor as fast as I can and beat calamity Ganon as fast as I can with it equipped and maybe with the 2 star set bonus. Makes me feel like a true wild amnesiac who has been given the task to kill something and ignored the details of things like memories of my past or villages in trouble. Kill is priority, and my badass barbarian armor is a must.
I love the Xenoblade outfit because of how absolutely sick it looks. Especially on Link. I'd even say he wore it better than the original person that has the outfit.
Climber set. Love high places and paraglide everywhere. I know the higest point for every region and can fly from there to get most places. I farm hearty endurians just to glide far and long enough. Notable places 1) top of water fall where farosh spawns -great for dragon farming, endurian, and lynel farming 2) top of death mountain -you'll also need hearty stamina dish to make it to eldin pass, Great for farming 6 lynels (3 are in the volcanic side, 3 are on the hebra mountain side, you'll pass by the lomai north ruins. And maybe dinrall will pass too Also theres a great flame blade here too 3)the shrine in akala by Bolson City A few koroks, a fairy fountain, 2 guardians 4) the shrine by the crazy rock-monster parts cooking girl -2 lynels -a talus -ganons horse -lustrous stones Its been a while since i played BOTW due to me only farming now. But climbing gear is a MUST, Climb, stamina, glide, farm, blood moon, repeat.

As a default set main, I can confirm that I don't have a fresh save file. I've beaten a good few shrines and one champion. I just wear defaults for the dialogue changes, comedy in the concept of beating Guardians in beach attire, and photo shoot sessions. I still suit up when it gets too cold or hot though.
I'm a classic green outfit person, and you're right it's for the nostalgia. ... I also refuse to beat the game without the Master Sword, Hylian shield, and a horse that looks like Epona :).
I don't know if it's my favorite, but the Royal Guard set is just such a nice look that it's automatically up there. I just appreciate it. And while there are certainly crazier Lynel fighters based on internet clips I'd like to think I got pretty good at beating them. The only ones I avoided were Gold in Master Mode because Silver was bad enough. Their weapons almost made the idea worthwhile. Almost. So I did like the Barbarian set a lot too. I really like dying the whole thing the darker crimson red option.
Part three: Other Link Versions- all of them have trauma and probably a lifetimes (or multiple) of dark humor to share. I personally use the Time tunic, reminds me of being forced to become an adult faster then you were ment to because the adults in charge failed at every given turn. :D
As a Hero of the Wild set lover, i loved it so muuuch! (But due to economic reasons i can only love it from afar since i don't have neither the Switch or the game) 😭

I actually wear the ancient armor set to show dominance against the guardians. That I’ve killed many of its people and used their corpses to become untouchable. Also it looks cool!!!

Champion's Tunic is just boring to me. I like looking like the Hero of the Wild, not the Hero of the Sword.

Phantom armor should be: you bought the dlc so you didn’t have to do the mazes and used a ancient arrow of the lynel.
