Sorry about the slight frame rate issues in some clips. Tried my best to iron them out... Next time lol.

How to reconcile the timeline inconsistencies using religion in BotW.
I want to discuss something that was said on HMK's channel a few days ago. I was watching the 5th Dimension when I heard something that would help explain a lot of inconsistencies in the world of BotW. As AustinJohn said in the video at 1:09:50, the three Goddesses are omnipotent and they can see events in all three timelines. However, instead of the Queen or Zelda receiving the visions as was stated, the visions were sent to the "fortune teller" that King Rhoam referred to in his journal.
Now, what does this have to do with religion? Well, fortune teller can be a synonym for a prophet. What if the fortune teller is actually an unnamed priest or priestess of the church? Master Works speculates that it was the Queen, a high ranking official or a trusted advisor. Throughout history, most state leaders have had a trusted religious advisor. Some still do. It makes no sense that it would be the Queen or Zelda because if it were, then why would the King refer to them as simply a "fortune teller" and not by their name or title? I think that this rules out the Queen and Zelda. That would mean the "fortune teller" is someone outside the royal family yet close enough to have the confidence of the King and be in the good graces of the three Goddesses enough to be the recipient of their visions. A trusted religious advisor would fit that description.
How does it fix the timeline inconsistencies? A prophet tells the royal family about the visions they're receiving from the Goddesses while the church spreads these stories throughout Hyrule. These visions are of events depicted in the other timelines and are passed on. Not in print, but orally, where they are slightly changed in each telling. Eventually, the truth is muddled by countless retellings and are largely dismissed as mere "stories and fairy tales". Yet, the royal family know otherwise, having heard it straight from the prophets so they trust them and their "fortune telling". Fast forward to before the calamity and King Rhoam has just been visited by the prophet, warning of Calamity Ganon's rise and that the key to his defeat lies underground. He believes the "fortune teller" and immediately begins massive excavations across Hyrule. They accidentally discover a Divine Beast and believing that this is what the prophecy was referencing, they begin searching for other Divine Beasts in earnest. The Shiekah, upon the discovery of the Divine Beast, tell their legend of the legions of Guardians once used to aid the Hero and Princess against the previous Calamity Ganon. The search for the Guardians also begins. Then of course, you have the events of the game, the Divine Beasts and Guardians are found, new Champions are chosen, then the Calamity revives.
I've always felt that religion played an extremely important role in Hyrulean society before the calamity. There are cathedrals and temples all over the kingdom, especially concentrated in Hyrule Castle Town, Central Hyrule and the Great Plateau, the population and religious centers of Hyrule. Not to mention the Goddess statues in each major settlement. You have a religion sharing the visions of the three Goddesses with the people leading to a general acceptance of alternate timeline events and a prophet directly sharing visions from the Goddesses of alternate and future events with the royal family. That's how Zelda knew about events in alternate timelines, that's how the different races know about people and events from alternate timelines, that's how locations came to be named after people and locations in the alternate timelines and now we can understand what role religion played and how it fit into Hyrulean society.
I've tried to get others to listen on a number of occasions but so far have found... unsympathetic ears.
Is this the vid you were talking about in alttp stream part 2
FallingKingdom3 Yeyy
Korok mask reveals poo
ArcticFlygon You got it 🤣
Lmao I love the little details they gave to links behaviour. Like how he visibly hurts his foot if you kick a chest without boots on. It's adorable that they animated something totally benign like that.
And if you crouch behind a chest he will punch it and hurt his hand
And if he’s shirtless, he’ll look at his arms and flex them.
@@velocivoid7974 😂😂😂
if he’s underdressed in one of the cold areas he cups his hands and blows into them to keep warm, And i’ve also always loved how there’s a difference in animation to when you eat something on a skewer to something on a plate
I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so just go talk to Paya undressed and see what happenes 😂 while your at it ask abou ther story too😂
Snow boots and Sand boots? Just gotta bully a simp
TRUE LMAO 😂
lol if he wanted to keep them he needs to stop simping like a noob
Yeah but I must go fæst
LMFAO TRUEEE
Dude if I had a drink I would’ve choked don’t do that
The Lobster Shirt actually has a hidden effect of boosting your speed when traveling via raft and korok leaf
Yeyy it’s the one thing I missed lol. I’ll add it to the stats later today when I post them. Thank you.
Cool. Good to know. But you could either do a bullet time launch, or a wind bomb
WhyWeCantHaveNiceThings, Limcube has a tutorial.
Yeah I know.
It boosts its acceleration not it’s velocity
When you get a switch 3+ years after it comes out and there’s still videos on it:
Thanks for dropping a comment 🙏
You could get a pc in 90s and watch videos about it now
AND THE UA-camR STILL READS THE COMMENT SECTION WHAAAAAAAAA
Always :)
I got it late too....
I lke how the majority, if not the entire botw fandom accepts "ravioli" as Revali's alternate name.
I always say Raveli intestead of Revali.
When I say it right I say Ravioli.
I think ravioli makes mor sense for ravio
I now say ravioli for two reasons, my brother will get confused, and it’s funny
Lol
I’m kind of partial to “Birdman” myself
25:18 "Mipha, Ravioli..." XD
Ravioli is such a meme people just use it unironically now
wait...his name isn't actually ravioli?
It's his actual name, though.
@@deathrayman8074 I though it was revali
It is revali but people call him ravioli
I was so late to getting a Switch and playing this game. I’m just so happy to see so many content creators still making videos for this. I’m on my second playthrough doing Master Mode this time. And I saw a Boko trying to melt his buddy out of an ice block with a fire rod! The AI is just brilliant.
It’s dope finding out new peeps are enjoying this amazing title. Glad you found my video 💪 Good luck with MM!
I got my Switch one year ago, bought all the big games. I’ve played BotW almost exclusively. It’s just such a rich and immersive world, it’s about 1,000x better than everything else.
just brilliant ai, yeah
flashback to the time a lizalfos did their little jumping thing an ended up killing themself because of it
I actually saw that too!
"brilliant AI"
Yeah, that same AI once got stuck in an endless loop of getting shocked by me wearing a bokolin mask
You can actually wear the thunder helm in gerudo and not get caught, everybody says" wow, It looks nice on you"
Same with the Sand Boots and Snow Boots
I've actually worn the thunder helm and sand boots in gerudo it's weird
Weird how you can literally save the fucking world and they still don’t let you in without a disguise.
I found out that if you dye the Soldier's Armor black in the dye shop in Hateno Village, it changes not only the fabric but also tints the armor darker as well.
Nice find! I’m going to have to try this. Thank you for sharing.
It’s for every armor that can be dyed, black is the only dye color that changes the shade of set colored pieces like metal rims, edges and accessories on said sets
white can do that too in some sets, and sometimes other colors can too
love that botw content is still getting uploaded to this day, i just got botw for my birthday 2 weeks ago and i’m honestly having such a blast
You are exactly who I made this for 🤘 Hope the guide helped at least a little bit. Thank you, it’s comments like this that drive me to continue uploading content. Appreciate you
@@RMFHGaming thank you for this, just got the game month ago and this video is extremely helpful
Happy be learned birthday!
RMFH Left a like on the vid! I just got botw last week
I bought it too, and it's been pretty great! I can't wait for part 2. It's pretty addicting. I wish there was a way to play the Ocarina of Time soundtrack or Majoras Mask as DLC while playing too. Only thing missing imo.
*Me:* I want to collect all the clothes in the game (including DLC)
*Nintendo:* Well no, we made 107 and you can only hold 100
Only Option Is To Sell 7 Clothes /:
Prob to sell the necklaces and headresses?
Sell the necklaces and the old set since both are basically useless. Now you have 99 pieces of armor
@@christopherhumphrey5702, Sell Monster Masks and Jewelry
@@paulrance5445 noooo the monster mask are the best, I use the whenever I just wanna explore without fighting and are the best for that.
I remember when I accidentally found the Xenoblade pants and I was SO confused.
It's intetesting to watch these kind of videos because they tell so much of a person's play style. Like for example he mentioned the soldier's armor as an absolute necessity especially in the early stages, while going over the sheikah suit mostly as just something kinda nifty to have, which to me tells of a really head-on fighter. Meanwhile there is me who has used the sheikah gear for like 90% of their playtime to avoid all possible conflict, like I didn't really even ever use the soldier's armor even after finally getting it bc "it's too clancky and disturbs my concentration" lol
Same reason I refuse to use it despite it having higher defense. I can’t sneak around and it’s bulky and ugly. (To me)
Same!! It’s easier to get materials with the stealth suit, you move faster at night, the materials needed to upgrade it fully are fairly easy to get, so it can be a very solid completely upgraded set early game.
I Leroy Jenkins-ed myself on the great plateau and got my butt severely kicked (not to mention getting jump scared by the freaking stone talus I thought was a korok location), so I spent the rest of my first playthrough being very cautious and sneaking around and avoiding the roads to avoid monsters because Link felt like he was made of glass early game.
Bro I'm like 400 hours deep with multiple play throughs and I've never purchased the soldier armor before lmao. I've also used the stealth set for like 90% of my play through to sneak up on enemies, run in the dark and coz it looks cool
I almost always wear the stealth set too, but not to avoid combat. I use it to sneak up on bugs and frogs and lizards without having to crouch.
As soon as I got the soldier set I pretty much just deleted it lol
If you run into inventory storage problems, I suggest getting rid of the old shirt and trousers, as well as the warm doublet, and all of Kilton’s monster masks which are made useless by Majora’s Mask. That frees a total of 7 inventory slots which is just enough to gather one of each armor piece in the game.
I still think they should’ve given us at least one more page so we can have everything, especially for those who want to have multiples of the same piece but with different dye colors to switch between on the fly.
You can have infinite armour storage
@@alextmb3166 : mods?
@@alextmb3166 not infinite but allot for sure
Right. Or at least a little room link awakens in you can store your items in a closet and/or chest
Did you already upgrade slots with korok seeds?
The Phantom Ganon set being found in Faron is a reference to Ocarina of Time, in which he was the dungeon boss of the Forest Temple.
It would've made more sense thematically to put it in the forest province or desert.
Ocarina of Time is the best
@@burger_kinghorn Maybe, except for the fact that in both Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, Faron is pretty solidly confirmed to be the forest province.
@@ToaMeikhaal BOTW made it more jungle/rainforest like. More like the Southern Swamp from Majora's Mask.
when you are so early the timestamps do not exist in the description
Um...
Did not know that
This production quality is incredible, one of the highest quality vids I've watched on yt.
Thank you!! 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it 😊
True
I absolutely love the way you made the game here! Kudos my friend! 👏
Just stumbled upon your channel and this video is great 👍 massive respect from Glasgow 🇬🇧
Thank you!! I’m glad I can help the community in anyway possible. Appreciate you leave such a nice comment ❤️
I hope BotW2 brings us many more Fantastic Armors and you tell us Where to Find them!
Literally just bought a Switch the day before you posted this. This is awesomeness! Thank you!
Glad to be of service 😁 Figured it would help out at least a few peeps. Thanks for dropping a comment!
Everyone misses this about the royal guard armor, but it gives you swim dash stamina up and climb jump stamina up as well. It's my go to for traveling in this game.
It's because the in-game description doesn't say anything about those. It's only by experimenting fans found out.
The dash/jump bonuses from upgraded climber and Zora sets are the only good use for them (aside from waterfall swimming). Each piece makes you move faster when climbing or swimming but you burn through stamina faster too. They are not more efficient.
Now thats a guide. What a pleasure to see there are still serious people who give exactly whats in the title. Fully deserve a like.
Dude, you are not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need, hands down. Total. Legend.
This is not just a guide, I love hearing you and explaining so neatly all the armor sets
Wow that was a fast response, thank you for your hard work, new sub
Seriously. Thank you so much for leaving this comment. It’s these types of replies that keep me on this journey. I’ll keep making content as long as you keep staying awesome 👏
@@RMFHGaming This is just completly wholesome you made my day, keep up the good work!
I’m gonna start back playing this today kinda forgot how things work tho
I love all your videos ❤️
oh my lord I just realized the title is a parody of fantastic beasts and where to find them Nice title I love it
Watching in 2021 new player here absolutely loving the game. So much to do so much to discover. I just feel like im inefficient most of the time.
IKR there are so many things to do in that game so many secrets botw is rn my favorite game it's like infinite content and things to do such a cool game.
Take your time with it! I've had mine a couple years and found a new shrine yesterday lol the game is massive
Same bro, except I have been playing since 2018 and I still struggle with a lynel
25:17 "Ravoli Ravoli, give me the Updrafteoli" :)
Finished the game and have all the sets but watching people get them is so satisfying because it’s like “boi I already got that”
Is it a way to keep the 107 pieces of armor ? Or are you stuck with 100?
Im about 12 hours into botw and I feel like I'm just getting started. This game is so deep.
Right!?! It’s massive. Have a dope play through.
Royal Guard's set has also an hidden stamina up bonus for climbing jumps and the swimming dash. This is very good.
@Student Gavin Mcgrory I can confirm it to be true, and it's cool, well it won't up your speed on either of thoses it is quicker to jump or dash anyways so doesn't matter much unless it's raining or you need to get up a water fall.
This is going to be perfect for my second full play-through to ready myself for TotK! Man, I can’t believe how much of this stuff I completely forgot about
ah yes, defeating calamity ganon with the sand boots.
Loved how you used the music of the final Divine Beast for the last few armour pieces to show how it's the end of the video, like the 5th Divine Beast being the end of your adventure. Thanks for the video, now I have all armour sets and shrines in the game!
This is truly a well well well made video. Precise and to the point, not dragging on for ages about each set, and clearly stating what you need for each set, this is awesome
I watched this for one armor set but ended just not skipping when I seen the leave of production! Well done man that’s crazy the it felt so I’m game with the editing and transition and sounds from right out of the game. As a Zelda enthusiast I really admire the attention to detail. I will subscribe and gotta go imma watch some other video
Literally started playing this game a week ago. So glad I’ve got so much content to help me progress and complete such a great game - thanks for the video!
Never really cared for getting all the armor sets for this game, but i decided to do so on my 10th playthrough and this video is the best i found. It's in depth and shows you how and where to find them (with some extra help too). Amazing video and i now only have DLC's to get. Thank you so much 😁
Just wanting to add that the hint for the Zora Helm location is found by reading one of the Zora Stone Monuments, which is part of the side quest Jiahto will give you in Zora's Domain. He will tell you that one of the monuments points to the location of a hidden treasure.
Thorough content!!! Loved it!
So detailed! I will use this for sure on my next play through. I always struggle finding the climbing gear
I always get the headband and buy the rest from tarrey town.
It’s so scattered around the map which is annoying
you are an absolute legend for making this. i wanted all the armor but i didnt know what the defenses were and also where they were XD
im a gigantic zelda fan but life got in the way of me being able to play this game until just recently!! im about half way through my first play through and its amazing how addicting it is. thanks for still making content for it!!
Oh wait thanks over 1 million cause without this i wouldn't have found some armor i missed in my playthrough again thank you so much
Dude you even help people update, that is thorough dedication to help. I salute you.
Just got this game around Christmas. Holy heavens I've already put in so many hours. Must own all the gear I can, Thank-you for this!
Thank you for the nfc cards link, this video is just perfect and complete.
Whenever you realize that you watched an entire full length video guide, despite already having found every single armor piece in the game, you know that the video is very high quality
I’m working through my first play through now finished three divine beasts and I do have most armor but didn’t know all the stats. You have a calming voice and are very informative without all the annoying youtuber “Subscribe” bs. You earned my sub and I greatly appreciate your work with this video mate!
Excellently documented and presented in great fashion! Thank you for all your efforts on this one. I'm brand new to BotW (I know, pretty late) but am looking for practical tips and info. This feels like what a God-tier "Prima" Guide would be and I'm all for it.
Now subbed and ready to binge.
This is the best video ever about armor I already saw your first video of this and it already helped me a lot! Good work! Edit: btw this channel really puts 1 million Quality videos! I hope your channel grows fast!
Very informative video. I completed the normal mode, and just started master mode, this helped jog my memory on the armor sets.
Now try speed running mate. It's fun
Hey I wanna thank you for helping me get the armor sets a second time. I had this bright idea of starting from scratch in preparation for tears of the kingdom and...wow. but you helped a bunch and I look forward to your next videos as well!
Compliments on the content and quality of this video. The previous video was great but this is that next level. So refined and sharp.
Love the effort
This is still to this day one of the most helpful botw guides ever made.
I appreciate it! Thanks 😊
This video is excellently done. I love your content and its quality! Keep up the hard work and stay healthy!
I just started playing a week ago! I'm addicted. Thank you for this vid.
Me watching this 4 years after the switch came out and thinking this is super helpful is happy. Thank you for the help/guide!
He's so serious the whole video and then 25 minutes in he replaces revali with ravioli.
Thank you for this! Just got the game and I’m obsessed!
I recently started playing this again and you guide is BY FAR the best one I have ever found for the armor I kept missing!
Thank you!! Glad it helped :D
This video doesn't have nearly as many views as it should
An even BETTER version than your already perfect armor video! Thanks!
Thank you for this video just helped me smash out my armor collection. Extremely precise and thorough.
It's Saturday August 27, 2022 and I've only just gotten into BOTW (finally getting the game and Switch OLED). 5 years coming lol 😆. Your content in much appreciated!
The video really helped me I just started playing again and forgot almost everything so the guide really helped.
Just what I was looking for, thank you so much!
Thank you! I just got a switch and these videos have been helping me with the game!
Your video deserve more view mate, thanks for the fantastic guide, save me tons of time of finding it individually
Absolutely goron slapped the crap out of the like button for this video.
Thx for making this guide and being so thorough with explaining where to find them!!
AMAZING! Your editing skills are fabulous and mind-blowing! Great job! 👏
Thank you! Appreciate you dropping a comment on both videos ❤️ Have a great weekend and lmk if you need any help with Age of Calamity.
THE INTRO THO!!! It’s so cool! That takes a lot of editing I’m definitely subscribing..
This is awesome. Thank you so much! Thumbs up for SURE!!!!! I can't believe I actually missed 2 Sets and 6 head pieces! Crazy. Thank you for pointing these out to me! I have work to do now. I really thought 8 beat the game and well, apparently not. It feels so good knowing next time I pick up the game I HAVE TO GO TREASURE HUNTING! So cool!
For what it is, I rate this video a 10/10 its well made and very useful
Thank you!! 🙏
I watched this video so Many time sometimes I wasn’t even looking for anything I just liked listening to it this is a great video great job hope you have a great day and all others who read this
Thank you so much ❤️
Love your channel, can't wait for BOTW part 2 to come out and see you tackle it.
I always wondered why the message informing me about the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC even though I hadn't requested such a purchase. Thank you for clarifying that it was sent to my game for free.
You helped me fine my last shrine thank you man
i havent touched this game in over a year. had tons of weapons. called myself the lynel slayer because i killed silver lynels for fun. beat ganon like 3 times. i really had fun with this game. oh i didnt finish the dlc, but i did get all the cool dlc armor from it
are you challenging me?
i beat gannon like 50 times also killed lynels had all the armor except the amibos
but i did not get all the srines sadly
I beat Gannon for fun like 10 or 20 times
I also got all armor all pictures and all shrines
All shrines, memories, korogu, medals, saddles, armors + upgrades + make the glitches for 30 hearts and 3 wheels stamina + dlc + all quests, side quests and shrine quests. 2 times
Now I commanded the nfc cards and I am going to upgrade all armors max
This is by far the best Zelda video i have seen, well done and thanks, the video is perfect!!!
I'm suuuper late to the party but dude thank you for this video! I love to collect every armor in every game I play but with a full time job, three kids, a wife, and several hobbies, and with how big Hyrule is, it would take me forever to find these armors IF I even get to play long enough to stumble upon them. So thanks a million for this video!
Happy to hear it helped! This right here is the reason I make these videos. Thanks for sharing all that with me I greatly appreciate it 😄 Hope I can help ya out again when BotW 2 releases.
Amazing, I wanted the climbers set!
How only 18 comments and 400 views? This guy is awesome!
Yesss !!! Thank you 🙏 this was honestly so helpful and I finally found some of the armor sets that I had been wanting and some new ones but I didn’t know where to look I watched the whole video this was seriously really helpful😁
Happy to be of service 💪 Stoked you were able to find everything you needed. Thanks for dropping a comment on the video!
So much patience man!!! Hats off and thank you for making this helpful....
You didnt mention that the island lobster shirt increases raft movement speed
Yeah I saw that yesterday. No biggie I’ll add it to the stats list in the description later today. Those hidden abilities got me xD
Thanks, I didnt mean to sound like I was just complaining though, it was an amazing video
PointCrow: "WOW really!? that so cool!" *Proceeds to BTB across the entirety of Hyrule in one swoop*
This was a great video!
Very informative
🙏
@Gavio Gaming, you were in the comments of the last video I watched...
This is by far the best guide. I just started BOTW last month, somebody gifted me a Switch and BOTW. Thanks!
the detail and quality of this vid is 👌🏼! Thanks alot.
Wow! Really liked the intro nice work dude!
Thanks!!
There are honestly only two sets of armor in this game that are absolutely OP, and that's the Sheika Set & Phantom Set. Other than the armors that you will need for temperature changes, those two sets are all you should ever need.
phantom set is surpassed by barbarian set later wich also gives charged ATK stamina up (reducing stamina cost for charged attack) when upgrading all pieces of barbarian to lvl 2
but you can start with phantom at the beggining
Why? The barbarian set I found way more useful, and in master mode Majoras mask was more than helpful. I rarely saw a reason to use the stealth armors
@@brotbrotsen1100 Why would you not wear the Sheika Set aka the stealth armor in non combat situations? It's extremely helpful because it allows you to travel silently, sneaking up on both enemies and wildlife much easier. Not to mention the awesome speed bonus at night. That is one of the best bonuses of any armor set.
If you're someone who hunts & whatnot like you should be, it makes that MUCH easier, specially for collecting insects & other small animals. You can literally do a full speed walk right up to them & just grab them if you have a full Level 3 Stealth buff!
You can't be sprinting of course, but this just makes collecting & hunting so much easier. Being able to use full walk speed while sneaking instead of having to crouch & crawl is a huge benefit. Therefore it is always my default armor suit that I wear when traveling. I only switch it out when in a combat situation, which is honestly not that often. It happens to look great too:)
Like 80% of your time is spent traversing the land, so you should be wearing it more than any other armor set. That's the way I look at it anyway. Everyone plays this game differently, so whatever floats your boat.
Oh yeah, also worth noting that it's helpful for getting the drop on foes, & then you can just sneakstrike lock them to victory with no resistance whatsoever. Hopefully you at least know how to do that maneuver by now, it's very simple to do.
@@skins4thewin I know ho to do it, i finished the game 2 times normally and once in master mode. I always took my time and explored and never had much problems just catching the insects i found or just equipped the stealth armor when i saw something i wanted or specifically farmed for something. For normal traveling i used a horse with the ancient horse armor, in master mode i avoided fights usually unless i needed monster materials and in normal mode fighting was simple enough and you had a huge amount of possibilities with the sheika slate or even balloons to get creative, stealth killing was a bit to bland after a while, i had more fun flying in with a drop attack or sending them a balloon with a bomb before starting the proper battle.

Thank you for this high quality production video filled with information about BOTW
Thank you so much Sir!
Awsome Video man! You saved me a ton of time. The DLC armor is so cool looking. It sucks that it doesn't have much use in the end stages.
The soldier armor was the first armor I bought and I stuck with it as my main
If you are late game the champions tunic has more defence than the solders chest piece, also btw the ancient armour has the same defence as the solders armour plus guardian resist
