Currently using it with the gen 1 Sony a7c. I'm struggling on getting the camera control to work :/ The mode itself works, meaning I can adjust shutter speed and Iso or White Balance. But as soon as I turn on camera control, the video feed of the monitor shuts down :/ Any help or info if this will be patched in an update soon, as the a7c does support remote pc and remote control for external monitors! Already texted your support about it :)

Hi Andy, Really sorry to hear you're experiencing this inconvenience! Image overlay / onion skin with save / load screenshot to the SD card would have me interested. (That and a 7” version.) Currently using Monitor+ and looking at Accssoon or this as my first monitor.
Hi Peter, thanks for this feedback. Please note that onion skin is available currently in our AtomOS11 monitor-recorder products like Ninja and Shogun and we didn't include it in Shinobi II as it is a monitor only with no recording. It's definitley something capable of via something as like you say, uploading an image via the SD card slot. We'll pass the feedback to our Shinobi team! Thanks again Peter, Atomos
Matching a shot for products with saved image overlays is part of the purpose of a monitor for me. With the Sony camera control, power to camera and screen brightness, this would make the Shinobi II the choice for me over Portkeys (looks like on paper the best option now), Accssoon (no camera control) and Monitor+ (low resolution Live View feed and limited image overlay). Thanks for you reply.
@@peterwood1066 Hey Peter, we appreciate your response, onion skin overlay is definitely something we can implement and we'll hopefully be putting into a firmware asap.
Hey Goofy, Not at this stage, but it's not impossible! We have great relationships with Sony, and the beauty of our camera control protocol is its software, so many more cameras can be added in the future. We appreciate your patience and definitely listen to your feedback. Atomos
When I connect my A7SIII (latest firmware) to the Shinobi II via usb-C (thunderbolt 4), the Remote Shooting Function says "cannot recognize the USB cable". Is there a specific cable I need to control the camera with the Shinobi II?
Hi Laurence, Thanks for the comment, please use the included high speed USB C cable in the Shinobi II box. That is the best cable for camera control with the Shinobi II which we recommend. Cheers, Atomos
@@AtomosChannel Thanks for the response. Unfortunately even with the cable provided it gives me the same message. I did notice if I plug the usbc into a power source, it doesn't power up the monitor. Not right now - but we're working hard with Sony to find a solution to this! FX6 is in Sony's cinema line so has a different protocol for camera controls than the Alpha series and FX3 which are currently working, but we want to resolve this asap so FX6 users can also enjoy Shinobi II.
Can we get a Ninja that…. Has a 6 inch housing so that 5 is actually viewable. 1.8 and 2 x ana that expands ‘viewable crops’ to full screen. Memory bank or DJI RS or memory bank charging capabilities via USBC … no longer needing a battery. Replace back battery realestate with a T7 style ssd media slot via usbc (no more sata). Proxy recording options enabling both Pro Res Raw and Pro Res. As resolve doesn’t even recognise raw. Touch screen integration with DJI Ronin and Lidar focus system. ❤
hi Kacey, Thanks for this awesome Ninja wishlist! We can let you know that we are definitely listening to your feedback. Regarding the 6-inch housing, we appreciate the concern and eliminated 30% of the width of Shinobi but hope to continue to improve the ergonomics and form factor of our devices.
