    Shaun, listen..
    I cannot express enough of how grateful I am that you took the time to post these amazing, extremely detailed videos on how to tint car windows.
    I just wanted to let you know that I am very appreciative of this. Your videos, and how you explain every detail, is very, very helpful to a beginner like myself.
    Thank you Shaun!

    Because of this video, I completed my first perfectly tinted window. Thank you.
    Your teaching style is direct, descriptive, and demonstration is easy to follow.
    It must've taken between 25-30 windows for me to get it right. I almost gave up many times, and experienced frustration on a whole new level. I was on the struggle bus so much, I even tried to tint it's windows. Ha. Thanks again, man! p

    Thank you. Well explained. Heat shrink the tint from the outside then transfer to the inside may be the best way to go.

    Exactly the explanation I was looking for. I've seen many other videos on shrinking but didn't help as much. I like that you showed that shrinking part of a finger youll have to shrink the sides as well because itll make a u shape. This shows more of what I been running into when trying to shrink. Thank you.
    I also feel better taking the door panel off. I even took the window out of one of my cars. Trim pieces that would have gotten in my way

    In order not to damage the seal during molding, it is necessary to raise the film to 3-5 cm from the bottom edge. Well done!

    thank you so much for this video dude. I spent 2000$ for training from a tint shop owner and he never even went through this depth of explanation. How do you know when to shift the window to trim? how do I install on a car ive never done before like a truck with three back windows? I have so many people asking me to tint their windows now and i would be able to grow and open my own business but I am scared and stuck on when to do it

    Hey Sean,
    Welcome back brotha? Two things if you can. Video on how to keep a job clean? No matter how much i clean it I still get some contamination. Second,
    Quarter glass.... The ones you have to cut out and tuck under tight gaskets like the older cars.
    Oh,
    Maybe anytime to remove a door panel show how to do it. There's tons of content for you to do.
    Great job on the videos. Been a big help.

      Tom Markz The trash your getting in the film is from not cleaning the windows properly... the best to clean a window is First spray the window wet, razorblade it, then scrub the window real good.. grab a paper towel, wipe your top edge and side edge .. then squeegee it.. make sure your not leaving no streaks behind.. then spray water down the sides on each side to wash the dirt down.. All dirt runs down.. After that your ready for sticking the film... also depends on what environment your tinting in... what solution your using, and depends on what squeegee your using or whatever... lol

    • @LightningMAS
      @LightningMAS 9 років тому

      Tom Markz Also, before tinting... be sure to break the gaskets, if they are tight... easier to slide the film in... Never way to much soap.. but TINT SLIME is da shit!! is what I use... You don't have to remove the door panels... only NEWBIES remove door panels. Lol!! Its all about lining up the film at the bottom to dpeneds on how much slack to tuck in behind the gaskets...

    These in depth videos on certain procedures is great. I shrink film fine but thinks like how creases happen if you do x. Or if the film does this, you do X videos would be beneficial. Only tinter I watch. Great instructor and I tint solely on your training and minimal experience.
    Also. When is dry shrinking necessary?

  • @phil7791

    Some of the fingers when I was heating them were shooting further up the window in squiggles. Why was this? And should I be stopping them with the card or letting them shoot right up before pushing them back down?

    Question: You say you use the gold card on all exterior shrinking because although it scratches, and would do so on the inside, it won't on the outside because of the liner. But why use one that would scratch at all in the first place? Do all hard cards scratch? or just the type you're using?

    Do you have to have an actual heat gun or will a hair dryer still work??

    • @DowntimeMedia
      @DowntimeMedia 5 років тому

      A heat gun is a much better options, hair dryers aren’t as consistent or quick, and there’s a possibilities of it having hair/dust in it that you could blow into your tint

    Question: Do you ever have to shrink the top of the film or only the bottom?
    I was just having this problem before installation and I was getting fingers on the side on the pillar side and seemed to have some fingers at the top

    • @WindowTintWarriors
      @WindowTintWarriors  4 роки тому +1

      You shouldn’t have to. It’s all in the way you squeegee the window out.
      I am posting a new video in about 1 hour that will go over proper mounting technique to get the film shrunk properly.

    How much soap and how much water do you use when making the tint solution?

    • @ivanncee
      @ivanncee 9 років тому +1

      I have a same question.

    • @WindowTintWarriors
      @WindowTintWarriors  9 років тому +2

      It depends on the soap you are using. If your using baby soap then it's less than if you where using cheap dish soap from your local grocery store because baby soap is much more concentrated. Start off with about 2 tablespoons worth of soap to a full spray bottle of water and adjust from there to you liking. Obviously more soap will give you more slip and less soap will make the film tackier when applying it to the glass. Hope this helped a bit.

    Let me ask you something. What cars do you worry about getting too wet. I know the Mercedes s class and cls you have to be careful with spraying too much water down the doors because of the electronics.

    • @WindowTintWarriors
      @WindowTintWarriors  9 років тому

      I've never had a problem with any car at all. Only thing to really worry about is when tinting a windshield with a heads up display is to cover it with a towel because they will short out of water puddles up in it.
