I was going to attempt to do this but after watching your video now I understand you have to be a rocket scientist to do tinted, you did the awesome job 👏 😀
If you leave the release liner intact instead of cutting it off, the water rolls down away instead of dripping onto the door panel. That reduces water by 30% dripping onto door panels. Also, your hard roll-up causes the edge of the tint to crease. As well, it wouldn't hurt to show how you prepped the top of the door gasket to prevent contaminants from drawing back from fingers and dust flicking back onto the exposed glass.. From a pro tinter with 25 years experience, over 20,000 installs.
Bruh I’ve seen guys in a third world country with a dusty shop do a perfect tinting job just like this guy if not better trust me all they tell the customer not to walk around his car to fast to prevent dust to rise 😂 they’ll make you think about your talent while watching 💯
Ive watched a few tinting videos cause im thinking about trying to do my truck my mself and this was by far the vest video ive seen well done sir tha k you for this
I'm a commercial building & residential building window tinter and ,thanks to your video, was able to quickly adjust to the difference in installation in building vs automobile. Thanks alot! I used some leftover 3M NV-15 to tint my side windows.... not exactly sure about the legality of this tint on vehicles however it does look quite nice. Thanks for the informational video!
Just kidding, i didn’t even have a driver license 5 years ago. However I tinted my windows today at home. and I gave up after 2 windows because it was so damn hard. I’m Definitely gonna let a professional tint my windows. also don’t tint your windows at home unless you’re a professional cause you will fuck up
Lol I totally agree with you Rob I been trying to tint my car windows myself and it's alot of work. It took me three days to get it even close to being right and it still needs to be a bit more better. Some of the videos make it look simple but when you are doing yourself it's not so simple.
Sean is a amazing tinter and really knows how to make a instructional video on how to tint. He is very detail on how to do it all .keep up the great work and make more videos. Thanks man
hello sir. as you are my guide for tinting. can you tell me why after installation few days found micro air bubles on Windows although I user sleep solution and clean very well and my film touch no edges . thats its drying procedure time ? it's desapeear thats micro Air bubles will be disappear or whats? can you answer my question please 🙏. thank you
Hello i have a small problem with tinting every time when i have the finished product and applied every thing, at the end i see smal white stains comming its not the air thats apearing
Hey. The white dots could be blemishes or little pieces of dirt in the tint. You just have to heat the outside of the glass and use a card ( like the pink lil chisler as shown in the video) and work it out
Also I keep getting these elongated bubbles.., I don't know what else to call them... At the bottom of my window. This is a 98 Chevy truck so the window doesn't have much of a curve to it, and I tried hitting it with the heat gun but they won't go away. And I tried several different times and it's almost like there's no adhesive left on the tint. Any recommendations?
All of the cars that I had tinted the guy done it on the inside of the windows, he was from Florida where he had a window tint company this was back in the later 80s and he done a dam good job. But back then not many people done window tinting
I’ve watched SEVERAL videos and I feel like all of them give me great pointers. Enjoyed this immensely. Probably my first job will be my sons 1992 Firebird…. I know, I know, a great choice for beginners Lol!!!!’n
Thanks Sergio! Yeah I do remove the the seals from the bottom and around the door if I have to. I have let go the guy who worked for me two months ago and I never remove a panel unless I have too. Tinting has been much better now.
Why do you line up the bottom of the tint on a framed car but not on a frameless? I watched another of your videos on that and watched multiple other guys do it the same way. Overlap the tint on the frameless window but will line up the bottom of the tint on a framed window? Could you help me understand why exactly?
What's acceptable for tint job? I'm talking mine back in because it's short on some spots. I'm just curious to know what is deemed as passable. I don't expect it to be 100% spot on.
Yes,you rother pay someone especially if your car is expensive one.It is so easy to kink it,to trim it wrong and furdhemore small particles on glass makes it to look awful.
I wasted 25 bucks precut tint and I followed every step and the tint would not go well and would not go into the gasket corner.... I threw the whole tint away cause I use all 6 tint and came out horrible. I'm not sure if it was too hot but I had a shop fan and I use alot of soapy water and it kept drying on me pretty fast as much as I soaked my window and tint.
@@dnawrapsatl I recommend they drop off their vehicles, but it's really up to you, if you don't have a ride to pick you up, you can wait and watch ,most shops will let you watch but depending on what vehicle you have it will be couple hours

Thank you for the great videos, you have given me the confidence to tackle this job myself. Are these comments still being read? I wish to tint my windows this week but concern is that my garage is unheated, and the temperature will be sub 40* Should I wait for warmer weather? can i do the job, then blast the heat inside the car to help it cure? please lmk.
Hey man good effing videos. How do you know when to shrink the film and when not to? And how do you know when to remove the door panel and when not to?
You typically don't need to remove door panels on any car; removing the door panel just make installation much easier for beginners. any time you are tinting a door when you are not removing the panel you should always shrink the film on the outside. The reason you do this is so that when you install the film and lay it under the gasket as seen in this video you will not have any fingers or any large fingers.
Ohh ok thank you so much bro still waiting to see how you tint a back window.. thanks again and also I want to see how you tint a quarter window. Take care.
+PlatinumTinting why are you not dropping the film down 1/4 inch before making your top cut to avoid having a gap at the top and to have some security being below the window gasket slightly?
When you were cutting the film to line it up with the top of the window, did you run the blade along the glass as you cut? Or like right above the window?
spray soapy water. Does it matter what soap to mix it with? I know some come with ammonia. from what I understand window cleaner with ammonia will fade tint quicker
You use the heat gun to shrink the tint in order for the tint to fit the inside of the glass appropriately? I ask to understand why you use the heat gun. Other wise the tint won't fit on the inside of the glass? Thank you for explaining the process in detail. So heating the tint with the heat gun helps to remove the air bubbles under neither the tint and shrinks the tint to fit the window?
I shift forward because When the window is rolled down it slightly shift itself so doing this compensates for any possibly light gaps after installation.

Loads of people explain that. It's probably the most important bit as helps film to be pre contoured . Then flip it over and rub out bubbles.
