You might be right- Ward was on this date and is credited with alto on the CD sleeve, but certainly he and Pharoah could have swapped out on this section. I have the Japan show where Trane and Pharoah both play alto for a bit- good stuff!
@@DarkeningSkies1 I remember "Live in Seattle" album there is another guy, Carlos Ward. I think the Japanese gave them alto saxophones as a gift and they thought it would be rude to not play them. The guy at 2:40 I would say isn't Pharoah Sanders. Wait, yeah Pharoah comes in at 4:19 on alto, too. Yeah that's Pharoah on alto saxophone. Coltrane 6:28 tenor.
@@leonardoalmeida1779 It's a live record from 1965 with very few means, it's an historic document, not a superproduction. You only need a little imagination and transpose the sound of the album to this one with your mind if you like, or recall any memories of Coltrane's sound...it really works, and also it's a good exercise for the mind.
@@PabloVestory Thanks Pablo, I didn't know that it wasn't a superproduction, or recorded to be released as an offical album. Sure it's a great gift be able to hear Trane live. I've read a comment somewhere of someone who made a mix in audacity, and sounded pretty fine, giving the horns a little bit more of volume...which kept me thinking again that maybe they could have done it too for this release...but anyway, we're blessed with this of course
supreme!!
All praise is due
Omg! There are just a few recordings of Pharaoh Sanders playing alto saxophon, glad I found another one.
Pretty sure the alto is Carlos Ward, Sanders on his regular tenor and percussion.
@@DarkeningSkies1 I think I've heard enough from Sanders playing alto and I'm almost sure this one is him

I know for sure they play them on the “Live in Japan” album, wasn’t sure about here. Cool.
I Will buy this album for sure
Fuck yeah let's go
Ótimo 😊
Robert Shahid of WEAA sent me here. Here is Heaven
this has a lot in common with extreme noise rock and metal, especially the drumming
Except it goes harder
Modern rock and metal drummers wouldn’t exist without drummers like Elvin Jones!

I wish, you could hear Trane louder...
Agree. I didn't like the mix of this album...
