    Since no caulking was used or some sort of flashing, if I am using that term correctly, how does the windows get sealed to prevent water from getting in the cracks and causing water damage over time?

      he doesn't have a clue what he is doing. The windows are mulled together before installing them, not after. Yes, a sealant is needed in addition to steel reinforcing brackets.

      I’ve never seen them mulled together in place. Normally the manufacturer would send you something better then the horse shit he’s doing

    How did you get that flange off there so you can put the mull

    • @projectdiy873
      @projectdiy873  8 місяців тому +1

      I did not take the flange off of anything. They fit right inside of the mull

    Interesting. Didn't know about a Mull. I'm not a window guy. But I do have to replace all of mine. I might have some rot. Trying to learn everything I can.
    How is the "R" value.
    Does it get caulking?
    Drafts?
    Just wondering for the cold, windy and rainy.
    Good video. ❤

      Not sure of an r value but it fits very tight together. There is no need for caulking or anything do not have any drafts from either type of mull that I have installed on these windows or the house.

      I am not sure of the r value but they seal pretty well. Like I said in the video I have them in my actual house and they do fine. I did not have to caulk mine
