Hey jarl, yea! You are one of the few many people who say alien isolation is the scariest best horror game Genre. And man imagine playing it early in the morning or at night in your dark room no lights. that would be a scary!! Horror experience. even ten times on VR. 😨have you ever done that before?
They do have a VR mod for the game. It's scary as hell, I got 144 hours in that game and only like 10 hours is actual gameplay. The rest is me hiding scared out my mind.
Basically if they did a game where you choose what kind of experience you want , I would want them to make an Alien Isolation mixed with Aliens Dark Descent and a mp like Aliens VS Predator 2010 And the co op gameplay from Aliens Colonial Marines with the customizing option from the aforementioned titles … In MP it’s quite simple much like infestation mode back in the day in AVP , team 1 is the alien , he starts alone and he needs to hunt , he can decide to kill people or abduct them and create his hive , this way you’ll see the entire lifecycle of the xenomorph , eggmorphing , creating royal facehuggers for the queen , much like Aliens Extinction was . When everbody is dead as a marine , the session changes into waves of enemies , so instead waves of aliens , you ‘ll get waves of Marines trying to destroy the nests . There’s a lot that could be done with a lot of potential … if only one developer would dare to take on the task and one investor smart enough to put his money into it …
@Streetrocker28 That would be awesome if we had an a VP game like that. I also want a predator isolation game, which would be even scarier and more awesome to play. It would also be an interesting dynamic that you're forced to get in firefights with guys with guns, but that draws attention of the Predator because if you have guns he will hot hunt you down. But if you don't, he will not fight you since there's no sport in it. Unless you're dealing with bad bloods, you're definitely screwed since they don't care about defenseless prey since bad bloods are cowards that take pleasure in killing anything that makes them truly murderers.
@mallen3200 seriously, they'd make good money putting it on newer consoles, the online would be amazing, damn man I wish more people still played the online on ps3
Alien Resurrection was also one of the pioneers of modern day control schemes in terms of its use of the analogue sticks. Which ironically it got slated for at the time for being a bit weird compared to what people were used to.
Watchmojo don't actually play the games, they just create content with AI scripts ect. The control scheme was originally panned, but has since become standard.

I’m replaying it rn for the first time ever. I only ever beat the game once back when it came out. Now I’m a much more hardcore gamer and I’m trying to play it on Hard and then Nightmare afterwards and it still holds up. As I see it, it will always be the best Alien game we’re every gonna get in this modern age. Sadly with the way the gaming culture is now most people won’t care about it ever. I wish we could get back into those types of games that aren’t running and gunning shoot ‘em’ ups. Isolation nailed that tension and helplessness. It’s like everyone is hardwired to just started shooting shooting shooting as soon as they get that controller in their hands. No fucks given about stealth. It’s kinda annoying tbh.
Playing the 1st person AvP online was a different kind of fun. They really made it feel like you were playing as a Xenomorph stalking your prey, a Predator hunting your prey or a soldier shitting your pants while you try to stay alive.
And the irony of it all is. The “main villian”of the alien franchise is the company. Yeah i said it. Weyland right? the xenomorphs are deadly creatures yes, but they only attack because they are used as bio weapons and don’t have any conscience.as ripley said to burke. idk which species is worse?
I was very impressed by it but eventually got completely stuck in a bit where no matter what I did, a massive onslaught happened. Couldn't run, couldn't fight it effectively. Game over, man.
Fireteam Elite is fantastic. Mega replay value and pretty tough on Insane. Isolation is the definitive ALIEN game experience. It’s brutal on Nightmare with almost zero loot to be had and non-functional motion tracker.
i’m so happy to see avp extinction getting attention. that game was so fun when i was younger, i’d play for hours making the perfect hive. one time i brought the video game case to school for show and tell lmao.
Look, I had a blast with Colonial Marines. It DID get a lot of things right. The visual designs (as in the look, like the blueish hues, which perfectly capture the look of Cameron's film), soundtrack & sound effects, & movie level designs are top notch. That first moment entering Hadley's Hope, there is a near quite audio cue from the films. The ambiance is really good in some of these sections. I didn't think the A.I. was as bad as everyone said. I rarely play FPS games, & playing it on the hardest difficulty on my own was a challenge for me at times. The Lurker A.I. was scary when it worked & made for tense moments. I loved for once being actually in a marine team, & found they helped my anxiety of being in a situation with a ton of aliens. I got sick of the AvP games either having zero marines with you (AvP 1999), or always getting cut off from them in contrived ways (AvP 2/AvP 2010). I remember reading previews for AvP2 saying you'd actually be part of a marine squad & they'd fight along side you exactly like in the movie. Well, I was majorly disappointed that as soon as you start the game, the entrance to the facility conveniently caved in after you entered. The game got worse once you got captured & thrown in jail. You have to fight human enemies for nearly the rest of the game. One thing about Colonial Marines people bash is the lack of smart gun. Well, AvP 2 isn't any better really. Its been years since I've played it, but there are just a couple of long section where you have it, but you lose it again. AvP 2010 isn't any better either in that respect. There are 3 sections in Colonial Marines where you get the smart gun (one is hidden in a path near the end). I loved playing as movie characters online. I had a blast playing as Hicks, Hudson, Apone & Drake. The Bug Hunt tribute map is a perfect recreation of Hadley's Hope. So much attention to detail went into the movie levels. On the other hand, while the Ghostbusters 2009 game is excellent, some of the levels bear zero resemblance to the movie counterparts, like the hotel & library. I loved actually having a motion tracker you equip, instead of a generic radar like the AvP games. Alien Isolation did show that the idea works. I didn't get as many glitches as people said there were. I actually saw the infamous "stuck in the wall" glitch FAR more frequently playing AvP classic on Steam, & even on Fire Team Elite. Speaking of the latter, it is a real pain in the you know what if you're working with friends on the hardest difficulty, only to come across this glitch where they are stuck & don't show up. You cannot proceed through the level until all the aliens are cleared. This game is far more glitchy than Colonial Marines ever was. The reason it gets a free pass is because it wasn't anywhere near as hyped up. As fun as Fire Team Elite was, I got tired of the levels & the boring level designs inspired by Ridley Hack's pretentious prequels. At least Colonial Marines tried to focus on James Cameron's film, & some sections it did get right. Focusing on the black liquid (which Scott ripped off from The X-Files & tried to pass off as his own), was a big mistake. Those prequels are crap, & this element really affected my enjoyment of the game. AvP 1999 is a game I loved as a kid, but playing it now it has dated very badly. It was scary at the time when aliens would fly at you, but thats just it. They just keep coming at you with no real intelligence & it never ends. It just becomes obnoxious. Its also obnoxious that you cannot reload. It is annoying if you have a quarter of a clip left, & trying to aim at these super fast aliens makes you run out of ammo & you have to reload in the middle of the action. You have to finish a clip to reload. And frankly, I can't stand this AvP cross over. I don't like Predator as much as I did when I was a kid, & it certainly isn't anywhere near as good as Alien & Aliens. I got sick of the AvP games. AvP 2010 had cheesy self destructing robots that were your main enemies from the middle of the marine campaign to nearly the end of it. That is partly why I enjoyed Colonial Marines. It was the first non-AvP game in many years. While I don't defend Gearbox (I've never supported them since), there are a lot of good ideas in it. The Hadley's Hope levels are great, & the second time in the Derelict (when its overrun with aliens), I found really intense (again, I played it on the hardest difficulty & in a dark room with the sound up). I also had so much fun playing Escape mode as a movie character. Having objectives to complete & running to the EVAC point was really exciting. It was so annoying when alien players would spam the burst trait where acid would blow up everywhere & down marines very quickly. Dark Descent is one of my favourites. I don't normally play RTS games, but this made me feel like Gorman. I found it got very intense & exciting. I also love how it went back to more of the James Cameron feel rather than the prequel crap like Fire Team Elite did. The ambiance of some of these levels perfectly captured the atmosphere of the film. The exploration of the first map did feel like the movie when the marines first enter Hadley's Hope. Of course Alien Isolation is masterful. I also grew up with Alien Trilogy too. BTW, you cannot bash Colonial Marines while praise Gearbox & Borderlands. Sega's funding went into Borderlands 2, & people praise Pitchford for embezzling the funding.
I've just replayed Alien: Isolation. This is a GEM and a must-play. If you haven't played it you absolutely must. And those androids, oh my God, the best design ever.
@AlexIn_ThaCosmos89 Yeah, that's pretty much his name. I don't know why, but that's pretty much what he's known by the fan base and that elder predator you've seen the game was his grandfather.
Been really thinking about buying Alien: Isolation, and it's on sale at the PS Store. Might have to get it now. I also can't forget the Aliens arcade sidescrolling shooter. I remember seeing the cabinet at my local bowling alley's arcade room as a kid and briefly playing it. I had little attachment to the IP at the time since I hadn't seen the movies at 8 years old, and my attention was usually on their Turtles In Time cabinet. Aliens is another one of those old games that you wish would make the jump to the digital marketplace so you can give it a fair shake.
DO IT, GET IT, PLAY IT. Isolation is the benchmark that every other Alien games should strive to match its greatness. The only flaw is that it is kind of bit too long, though the ride is definitely worth the price and time.
AVP2 was my first Alien universe game and it was pretty amazing. I do like the AVP reboot, but they cut too many corners, reusing environments too much, and the atmosphere was not as good. But the #1 for me is definitely Isolation - the original Alien aesthetic didn't get enough love in the video game format until then, and I really appreciate it for that. Plus, it's a great and immersive horror game.
I had a blast with it. It did get things right. It just needed a developer that cared. Instead, Pitchford ONLY signed on to do it with Sega as a money laundering scam.
Yep. If they would've kept updating it with more patches like what was done to cyberpunk, then it would be perfect. I still play AVP and A:CM on my 360 online.
Alien Resurrection was one of the first games to use both analogues for aiming and movement, reviewers at the time hated it but little did they know it would become the standard today.
MojoPlays, you forgot to mention the 2014 arcade rail gun shooter, Aliens: Armageddon. Not to mention the 1993 arcade shooter, Alien 3: The Gun, and the Aliens arcade game from 1988 from Konami.
Alien 3 nes game was also a lot of fun. But aliens vs predator 2, was the greatest back then, I've spent hours on it, it's pure gem and what alien vs predator movie should've been
When I bought my Ps1 in 1996 Alien Trilogy was the first game I chose for it . I was originally going to get a Sega but the salesperson at K Mart recommend th Ps1. It was a decision I never regretted. I think I paid $400 Australian.
We need more Predator games, with all the canon predators, including the Feral Predator from Prey. And may it be better than the game Predator: Hunting Grounds 2020.
I shelved Isolation since it came out until watching Romulus got me in the mood to finally playing it. And I have to say Isolation is a masterpiece and im mad at myself for not giving it a chance all these years, hell of a game!
The original AVP2 shit on most of the games. I wish we could get another one of those today with 2 player co-op. Play as alien, starting as a face hugger. Play as marines, or play as predators.
Loved Capcom's AvP, home it gets a modern port. Also loved Fireteam Elite, already got the Plat on both PS4 and PS5, but guess what, I'm playing it on my Steam Deck
Aliens vs. Predator 2 - When I played this on my old Windows 98 system, I had to downgrade the graphics drivers to get it to play properly. I had to do the same thing for No One Lives Forever, which ran on the same engine. As for the game, I enjoyed it, but I was disappointed at how heavily scripted it was. I mean you start as a face hugger, and there's only a single human in the whole complex that you can successfully attack. They could have made it so that you could follow a human and jump on them when they're alone, or given you a choice of different victims, but nope, just one and only one person you can attach to. The Primal Hunt expansion felt even more scripted. Near the end, you walk through a series of large corridors and aliens attack every single time you get to the halfway point. There's no randomness at all. You can sit at the start of the corridor for an hour and nothing will happen, but cross the invisible trigger and a whole hoard of aliens appears. Then there's the fact that you never get to fight alongside other marines. It's always "We thought you were dead! It's good to have you back. Now go crawl through this vent so you can be on your own again." And small nitpick, but I felt the alien models in the original AvP game from 1999 were more appealing than the ones in AvP2. I don't care which one had the higher polygon count, or which texture had a higher resolution, the ones in the first game just looked better in my opinion.
I'm glad someone else was disappointed you were never with other marines in AvP 2. I was always wanting a marine based game like that. I was so disappointed when you were cut off from other marines in such contrived situations, like the beginning of the marine game & the entrance to the facility caves in only after you enter. I read previews for it saying you would be with other marines fighting alongside you. That was very rare. It was falsely advertised. I also didn't care for the character models in AvP2. All of them, not just the alien models.
I’m surprised that Alien3 game from retro sidescrolling didn’t make the cut even though it is the closest to giving the dred of being in Ripley’s shoes facing with the xenomorphs.
100% agree with a remastered of avp2. Do it up as good as dead space remastered and it will be gold. Avp2 with the primal expansion had so many weapon options also ammo types for both human and predator and each type of xeno had there own characteristics. The pvp I thought was pretty well balanced. Lots of maps and community made missions. And if I remember right didn't it win a reward for being best modded game of the year like in 07 because of the star wars mod?
It was very bad on release causing a negative impact, It was fixed years later when most players left. I also played it a few years ago and found some online players on ps3.
I had a blast with ACM. While I should have hated it because of how much I was hyped up for it, it actually did a lot of what I've wanted in an Aliens game, that the AvP games never bothered to do.
My favorite was aliens vs predator from Atari jaguar, you can play with an alien, predator or marine, i hope someone creat a New one game lite this but with missions with the thank or ship from the aliens move
Surprised you even got to the count of ten , 1 ) Alien Isolation , 2)Alien Dark Descent 3)Aliens VS Predator 2010 4) Original Aliens VS Predator 5) Aliens Extinction
How in the everloving FUCK does this list exist without AvP 2000 and AvP2, both of which still stand among the best the entirety of the series has to offer?
AvP2 is listed in this video, & it is overrated. The marine campaign comes nothing like it is in the film as you are always cut off from other marines & you are put in jail & you fight a lot of humans for nearly the rest of the game. AvP 1999/2000 is also dated very badly. Aliens just fly at you with super speeds, & you cannot reload until you finish your clip, so you have to waste ammo to get a full clip. You need a full clip to take down aliens. This game also has the infamous stuck in the wall glitch that Colonial Marines would get ragged on for, but I actually saw this glitch more frequently in AvP. I loved this game as a kid, but playing it now it has aged badly.
Alien trilogy was a great first person shooter on ps1 cult classic videogame on ps1 alien dark descent found dissapionting controlling the soldiers to shoot against aliens on ps4 they should've left it like aliens fire team elite aliens vs predator games were great aliens fire team elite found interesting shooter on ps4 alien isolation found challenging and interesting on ps4
I had a blast with Colonial Marines. It did get things right. People aren't in a position to bash it considering Borderlands is considered awesome, & Pitchford embezzled Sega's funding to go into that garbage.

I actually like Aliens Colonial Marines. The dlc campaign was good and the online 4 player survival horde modes is fun too.
Same I loved it
I had a blast with it.
Didn't someone create a patch for it on PC that fixed a lot of the issues?
same
Aliens Dark Descent was pretty good. Once the mechanics clicked, I had a blast
Alien Isolation & Aliens Fireteam Elite are my favorite 2 Alien games
Dark Descent So Underrated , lowkey one of my favorite games ever.
Alien Resurrection was one of the first games to use both analogues for aiming and movement, reviewers at the time hated it but little did they know it would become the standard today.
Awesome list, mentioned a childhood classic the Alien vs Predator arcade
What about the arcade games Aliens (1990) and Alien 3: The Gun???
Criminal these weren’t included
You forgot about Alien Descent VR, a game I actually worked on as the sound designer
Congratulations to your ears for surviving the HORRORS OF ALIEN SCREAMS. 😖
MojoPlays, you forgot to mention the 2014 arcade rail gun shooter, Aliens: Armageddon. Not to mention the 1993 arcade shooter, Alien 3: The Gun, and the Aliens arcade game from 1988 from Konami.
It's there opinion other than that im sure alot more would appear on the list
Alien Isolation would be #1 for me.
Im just glad that Fireteam Elite and AvP 2010 made the list....back to back nonethless...💯💯💯😎🖖🏾🤘🏾✌🏾
I love dark decent, i miss extinction i wish they would re master that
No other alien game gets your heart beating like alien isolation.
The original AVP2 shit on most of the games.
I wish we could get another one of those today with 2 player co-op.
Play as alien, starting as a face hugger. Play as marines, or play as predators.
There is a coop mod for AvP2 and you can still play it online
Dark descent is fantastic!
Never expect the AVP arcade game by Capcom made it to the list! If only this breaks out from the copyright jail.
👽 My top 10 Alien games I played:
10) Alien maze- Android ( pacman clone)
9) Alien Trilogy- Saturn
8) Alien Resurrection- PS1
7) Aliens - Arcade
6) Alien Thanatos Encounter- GB
5) Alien VS Predator- Arcade
4) AVP Extinction- PS2
3) AVP 2000- PC

1) Alien ³ - SEGA Genesis
These games were aweseome.
Rumor is fireteam elites is getting a sequel
I really want a predator fire team elite game that puts hunting grounds to shame.
@@Elitesolider1023 that would be interesting
My favorite is Alien Vs. Predator
Lol at alien resurrection. Hit it with laser, has a temper tantrum, is ok for a second, then has temper tantrum again, then dies.
Loved Capcom's AvP, home it gets a modern port.
Also loved Fireteam Elite, already got the Plat on both PS4 and PS5, but guess what, I'm playing it on my Steam Deck
Yes my favorite alien games or game make the list on the PS3 or on the PS4 like Aliens Vs. Predator and Alien Isolation
I finished Alien Isolation and currently platinuming it in the PS3. I want to try Aliens Vs Predator soon.
End game without all 15 and its "game over man!"
Totally missed opportunity
My Top 3
Alien Isolation
AVP 3
Alien Fireteam Elite
Alien: Isolation & Alien 3 (SNES) are my favorites!
I hope AVP (1999), AVP 2 (2001), and AVP (2010) gets Re-Released for the new Generation. I’d really like to play them again on my PS5.
Now go crawl through this vent so you can be on your own again."
And small nitpick, but I felt the alien models in the original AvP game from 1999 were more appealing than the ones in AvP2.
The Aliens arcade game from Konami is a lot of fun, I wish Konami ported that to consoles, It plays a lot like Contra.
The AVP Arcade Game is available on the Capcom Home Arcade plug and play arcade stick, which came out in 2019.
ISOLATION 🧨
Everyone wanted to be the predator in the arcade game like literally everyone not going to lie so did I
Amazing top ten, with a lot of game and console variety. Loved Dark Descent, but I still need to get my ass to play Isolation >.
Isolation hands down!
Alien resurrection for the PS1 is tottaly underrated.
2010 had some kick ass multiplayer
Alien 3 on megadrive, Aliens on ZX spectrum, Aliens dark descent.
Why not Colonial Marines? I know that it is a, somewhat of a trainwreck, but it's still pretty damn good...especially the expansion Stasis Interrupted
I loved ACM too
@:40 alien was like ï don't wanna go to schoolllll"
Regardless of what other Alien games are included on any top 10, Alien Isolation will always take the number one spot!
AVP on the Jaguar was very underrated. It was the only reason I purchased the Atari Jaguar LOL
Same!
with how many alien games there are. i'm surprised there aren't more games when you get to play as the xenomorph.
Fire team elite 💪🏿 was a gem i still play it on PS5🔥
Just saw alien Romulus, watch it the best so far in the franchise and connect with all movies
I love alien isolation
and we all are happy to get alien isolation 2
Fire team elite, I play up until today! it is fire 👏
Alien: Isolation is the GOAT
Did this man list out all the best alien games in this video and not mention Duke Nukem 3D and Half-Life games?!
Isolation is a true masterpiece and one of the best horror games of all time. It’s up there with the best Resident Evil and Silent Hill entries.
Alien isolation was great for me
Alien vs predator on the atari jaguar was the best.
TBF I think Alien isolation should get a movie
I really wish AVP extinction would get a sequel or would get more
My favorite was aliens vs predator from Atari jaguar, you can play with an alien, predator or marine, i hope someone creat a New one game lite this but with missions with the thank or ship from the aliens move
You can play as the Xenomorph in dead by daylight too!
And in MK.
Dead By Daylight is crap. Just the same hook crap.
Surprised you even got to the count of ten ,
1 ) Alien Isolation , 2)Alien Dark Descent
3)Aliens VS Predator 2010
4) Original Aliens VS Predator
5) Aliens Extinction
Alien vs predator was also on snes. I had it
As much as I personally loved AVP 2010…come on we all knew what would be number 1 rightfully so as well cause Isolation fucking rocks
I only played Alien Isolation and AVP Evolution on Galaxy S2
Where’s Konami’s Aliens? Or Alien 3: The Gun? Or Aliens: Extermination? Or Aliens: Armageddon?
Dark descent should be number 2, obviously isolation is the best
Fireteam elite the best
What about AvP on the jaguar?
That second screen in Alien Infestation (DS) looks largely redundant… a port to a modern system is surely overdue.
Avp
The game
Alien trilogy
Masterpiece
#1 Aliens. (Konami 1990)
Omg, isolation was 10 years ago?!
O loved alines vs predator vs marines where you could be all 3
I also loved alien3 the gun arcade game
Alien are scary
FTE!!!
What about Aliens: Extermination or Alien 3: The Gun?
I honestly don't care what people say I love aliens colonial marines. Playing as the alien in pvp was so fun.
I agree, loved the game growing up
I had a blast with Colonial Marines. It did get things right. People aren't in a position to bash it considering Borderlands is considered awesome, & Pitchford embezzled Sega's funding to go into that garbage.
