Hey so, i'm from Puerto Rico, and over here it's pretty common to use Palo Santo for spiritual practices; however, it is never used to "cleanse" or kick spirits out, instead, it is used to either heighten spiritual activity, or to seal things in. So be super careful using Palo Santo to cleanse on its own. Always mix it with something else that actually cleanses, and then you can use Palo Santo to seal the energy that you actually want. In you guys's case, it probably worked because of the words that you used against whatever was trying to attack you, more than the Palo itself! Anyways, love you guys & stay safe. 🎃
Hi! Native American (shoshone) here, and wanted to touch on the topic of saging/burning sage to cleanse. ghost loves sage. Can’t get enough of it. So staging your house to get rid of ghosts, it’s kind of like lighting a candle before you invite someone over. You are welcoming that spirit into your house, The shoshone belief is that the only way to get rid of a ghost is to make very loud noise, with all of the doors and windows open!
My family is Norse Pagan. We believe that ghosts are active in the fall and become stronger during the winter, especially around Christmas and the presence of a ghost indicates that a wrong needs to be righted or at the very least, addressed for the spirit to leave. Another way we shield from spirits is by having plenty of imagery of Odin and Thor around our house. We also knock three times before entering an unfamiliar building.
I've never heard that! But honestly kinda makes sense. The only thing I heard was when saging to keep the doors and windows open or the spirit will be trapped in with you. 😮

im of a very similar mindset to shayne but growing up in tn especially along the trail of tears it is undeniable the feeling that comes from any historical place you visit. there is a tangible sense of grief and pain. multiple times as a kid i visited places on field trips that made me naesous just to be in
The “all ghosts start as Massachusetts” bit is for some reason so funny to me 😂 Like i’m imagining a full on group if ghosts swimming across the ocean to haunt Europe and can’t stop cracking up
Loooved hearing the story about the roomies getting rid of the ghost.. had a situation/haunting while living alone.. made my big sister come over and help me out. We went to the local crystal shop, got some palo santo, black tourmaline sand, and selenite, mediated and prayed to our ancestors, and cleansed that mf. Deadass watched the full shadow silhouette of a woman walk down my hallway and out my front door. All the activity I’d been experiencing for days came to a full stop. BLESS. The power of intention babes!
52:40 This is the most Tennessee thing I’ve ever heard😂😂 I’m from Alabama, so it wasn’t much better here😭😂 In kindergarten we went on field trips to the cotton fields😭😭😭😭
For some reason the video of “ look at all those chickens” popped into my head when he said it too and made me laugh stupidly harder than it should have
In reference to Chanse's chicken in a tree... they actually perch very high when wild. They can't fly high (about 5ft at most, depending on breed) but they're great at going from limb to limb to get higher. Safety from predators.
Being someone from Tn, ghosts are *not* a joke. Rn I live maybe an hour away from bell witch cave and they recommend you don’t take ANYTHING from there when you visit. There’s been plenty of stories of people taking a rock or something similar to say they did it/weren’t scared only to later had to return it to the cave bc of the hauntings that followed them.
I imagined Noah being baked as fuck opening his door slowly then going back to his covers and then scream out trying to scare whoever he think opened that door. That's my headcanon everything was self inflicted, he opened the window, played with the blinds, even tickled himself.
Chickens can totally fly up to the top of a pole like that. They can’t fly for long distances, but they can get up in the air with an intent to seek higher ground. Turkeys can too.
yep, I own chickens and the lighter breeds can fly really high. They roost in tall trees at night so seeing one at the top of a tall pole is definitely not a ghost lol

I like to imagine that in Noah's story, the ghost who visits is Amanda as Babe Ruth and the alien is Keith doing the intergalacwhip. They're all freakin out
i already would've expected noah to have some crazy ghost stories, maybe tommy too, but i didn't even clock chanse as a believer. i can definitely confirm that the american south is crawling with haunts tho, the house i grew up in on its own definitely had a ghost in it (thankfully it was chill lol). Noah's story is pure gold 👌 I love how he just connects instantly with the various entities' feelings and travels to a plane of knowing: knowing that one is a ghost and one is an alien, knowing that they are surprised they both showed up on the same night, and knowing that they are sharing a dialogue. Pretty sure his soul evolved in that exact moment.

fun fact: most hospital icu's are haunted in one area or something. my mom has been a pta (physical therapist assistant for quite a few years at this one hospital. in one corner/part of the icu, my mom says you can feel the dark presence of spirits and there have been some sightings/ unexplained things. pre covid, there were two known ghosts in the pt (physical therapy) department. one was a little girl and the other was a tall man. my mom's experience was once she was alone in the pt dep and the counters there have like a lip/ are raised so stuff doesn't fall off. but a 5 or 10 lb weight just fell off and i think the light flickered but tbh idk about the light. my mom said something about if whatever was in the room didnt hurt her, she'd be chill w it. nothing happened directly to her. one day at lunch (i think) her coworkers were talking about the ghosts/hauntings. one of her coworkers mentioned an older lady that was a patient at the time looked in a mirror and asked who the 'tall gentleman' and 'little girl' standing behind her were but nobody was there. since covid, the pt dep was used for covid patients since they needed more room and there havent been any incidents since. unrelated: also another one of my mom's coworkers' daughters has a pretty decent connection w ghosts or wtv. one day she called her mom (my mom's coworker) and asked who died bc she could 'feel the dark weight' (or smth similar) and could kinda just sense it, yk? her mom was like 'girl nb died. u good tho?' and later that night, they found out one of their relatives in a dif state had passed away.

That Chance moment at the very end was literally a treasure
im of a very similar mindset to shayne but growing up in tn especially along the trail of tears it is undeniable the feeling that comes from any historical place you visit. there is a tangible sense of grief and pain. multiple times as a kid i visited places on field trips that made me naesous just to be in
NOAH, I wanted to get spooked this episode but I'm just dying from laughter over here 😭
The “all ghosts start as Massachusetts” bit is for some reason so funny to me 😂
Like i’m imagining a full on group if ghosts swimming across the ocean to haunt Europe and can’t stop cracking up
I love when amanda just drops insane lore and doesn’t elaborate
Chanse at the end gives the same energy as him jumping over the car bits 😂😂
“I feel the energy like I’m not the only one surprised; the ghost is also surprised by the window.” LMAO
Not even a minute in and they’re already talking about cereal
Well yea, it’s the spookiest part of a balanced breakfast, you expect them to NOT talk about it??
@@mcpudd-20k You’re not wrong! It would be even better if some of their paranormal experiences included cereal killers 😏
I need a smosh mouth episode where everyone tells their high/weed stories cause those are funnnnyyyy
Would be so good!
shayne's face while noah is telling the story is so hilarious. its like supporting your friend and they completely fumble an argument
39:30 😭😭
Loooved hearing the story about the roomies getting rid of the ghost.. had a situation/haunting while living alone.. made my big sister come over and help me out. We went to the local crystal shop, got some palo santo, black tourmaline sand, and selenite, mediated and prayed to our ancestors, and cleansed that mf. Deadass watched the full shadow silhouette of a woman walk down my hallway and out my front door. All the activity I’d been experiencing for days came to a full stop. BLESS. The power of intention babes!
chanse laughing before getting to the bit is the funniest shit ever like everytime that happens i have tears in my eyes 😭
Noah be watchin Dandadan like "He just like me"
all i could think about the whole story lol
That's what I was thinking too
thats what IM saying 😭😭
39:33-39:36 the nods from Shayne and Amanda KILLED me lol they said so much without saying anything at all HAHAHA
Noah just fed you guys the best comedy sketch. Please do one of those dramatic recreations that used to be on SciFi with this story
Please!
Shayne has to be dressed up as Jonathan Frakes when he did "Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction", and have a fake beard, do all the vocal prompts, etc.
This would be such an amazing Bit City sketch! Please Smosh!
it would be amazing if it was performed like drunk history 😭
52:40 This is the most Tennessee thing I’ve ever heard😂😂 I’m from Alabama, so it wasn’t much better here😭😂 In kindergarten we went on field trips to the cotton fields😭😭😭😭
still can’t get over the back-to-back ghost chickens
Okay Chance's story was the highlight of this episode- "How did that chicken get on that pole?!" is about to enter my daily vernacular
For some reason the video of “ look at all those chickens” popped into my head when he said it too and made me laugh stupidly harder than it should have
But chickens fly up into trees to roost at night... that's totally normal 😂
@@emilyearlenbaugh830 just came here to say the same thing. Some chickens are extremely flighty
Kudos to the editors for the sound effects, and the art team for the decor.
There hasn't been an editor or art team 'round these parts in twenty-fahve years!!
Last week's episode had me scared af
Chanse breaking anytime he sits at this table trying to tell a joke is too good
In reference to Chanse's chicken in a tree... they actually perch very high when wild. They can't fly high (about 5ft at most, depending on breed) but they're great at going from limb to limb to get higher. Safety from predators.
yep!
Being someone from Tn, ghosts are *not* a joke. Rn I live maybe an hour away from bell witch cave and they recommend you don’t take ANYTHING from there when you visit.
There’s been plenty of stories of people taking a rock or something similar to say they did it/weren’t scared only to later had to return it to the cave bc of the hauntings that followed them.
shane trying to be respectful listening to Noah's story but you can see him trying to hold back busting out laughing 😂
Never let these paranomal and Halloween themed episodes end!
They are the best!!!
Noah having an intense green out (and the brownie could have been laced too) but still being convinced there were aliens AND a ghost is sending me.
Noah's story is sooo hilarious. I love listening to him telling it 🛌👻👽🪟
I imagined Noah being baked as fuck opening his door slowly then going back to his covers and then scream out trying to scare whoever he think opened that door. That's my headcanon everything was self inflicted, he opened the window, played with the blinds, even tickled himself.
0:12 🧛♀️Chaœclet CRÜNCH!🧛♀️

NEW AMANDA MEME UNLOCKED
Chickens can totally fly up to the top of a pole like that. They can’t fly for long distances, but they can get up in the air with an intent to seek higher ground. Turkeys can too.
So what were they running from? You think they knew about the meth lab?
yep, I own chickens and the lighter breeds can fly really high. They roost in tall trees at night so seeing one at the top of a tall pole is definitely not a ghost lol
When I worked night shift at the hospital, every once in a while I’d see a nun in the distance down an empty corridor. They scared the crap outta me 😂
happened to me as well, until I caught up to the nun and realized it's one of the patients from the mental ward nearby.
Sure you did
@@nickparton5663 yep. Mostly priests, but occasionally nuns. You see them a lot working in an ICU, you know, where people are dying.
@@nickparton5663he means it was a real nun lol
There was a guy in a program our billing department put together dressed as George Washington going around telling people how to save money. He showed up in our office in the middle of the night once. Just look up from your desk and Washington is standing there at 2am? Scared the shit out of us.
Chanse's stories about his time in high school and growing up crack me up all the time because I grew up close to Franklin and Nashville.
I love Chanse, I can always count on him for a laugh after a long day!
1:47 hearing Shayne talk about what/who he and Courtney will be this Halloween makes me so happy, since they don't need to hide their relationship anymore 🥹
Courtney posted on insta the other day a bunch of couple Halloween costumes they've done and it was adorable ❤
FIRST PUBLIC COUPLES COSTUME 🎉
Honestly, it must be quite a freeing feeling knowing that you can just post what you want now without having to worry what the fans are going to go deep into.
@@bondickle
I like to imagine that in Noah's story, the ghost who visits is Amanda as Babe Ruth and the alien is Keith doing the intergalacwhip. They're all freakin out
Oh my gosh!!! 😂😂😂😂
Chance being awkward at the end and them jumping to the outro was hilarious.
When I was little & scared of ghosts my mom would say "You shouldn't be scared of dead people. It's the live people you have to worry about."😂
Chanse immeriately arriving flirting with ghosts and aliens is so on character
i already would've expected noah to have some crazy ghost stories, maybe tommy too, but i didn't even clock chanse as a believer. i can definitely confirm that the american south is crawling with haunts tho, the house i grew up in on its own definitely had a ghost in it (thankfully it was chill lol). RAAAAUGH I LOVE GHOST STORIES
Im in Ohio and my house has a little girl ghost in it. Built in 1922.
Im sorry, fellow brazilian here. CHANSE HAS AN ADOPTIVE BRAZILIAN BROTHER??? Im so here for it and would love to hear more about that????
how has he never brought this up in all the time hes been here..??
@CherishLiu maybe because it isn't all that relevant
RIGHT
o "another portuguese person, yes" da amanda me pegou
@@kingblob17 They talk about their families on a fairly regular basis. Do you comment every time letting them know that you think it's irrelevant?
"It tickled my feet and went up my legs and i closed my eyes and fell asleep before it could get to my butt" NOAH YOU HAVE TO STOP IMDYING
Read this RIGHT as that part came on lmao
Tommy's story: Spooky dooky ghost
Noah's story: Danadan
Chanse: Broke into a meth lab on accident and spooky chicken
the fact that noah doesn’t believe in any of this is so funny. but also he was crazyyy high
Noah just described the plot of dandadan
Ruh roh, guys!!
Would you like a scooby snack?
Just did the survey but I wanted to add that I really loved the early episodes where you guys would talk a lot about your passions and chasing those passions. I related to that a lot and would love to see more episodes that focus on those things again! Love yall!
The meth lab in a haunted plantation sounds like a Scooby Doo episode.
Laughed way too hard 😂
I believe Noah bit a Kova Black Bar, he might as well have taken some shrooms lmao
Shayne's face card never decilnes , GaHdAmN! He's so pretty 😳
I second that
i agree, but also AMANDA'S face card!!!!!!
Right?! I catch myself sometimes being like “damn that man is gonna even be nice to look at when he’s an old gentleman”
both of them are eye candy
RIGHT
You can always count on Chanse to tell a story in the most unhinged way possible 😂
50:10 chance summoned some memories from my elementary days. We went to the Carter plantation house as a field trip and I was over around dickson tennessee. It felt like a fever dream
The next DREAD episode, Ghosts Vs Aliens starring Noah.
and its only noah
Yesss!!!🎉🎉🎉
Chances
entrance AND exit was freaking iconic what the hell, love him sm lmao
umm im gonna need to hear about marcus being possessed because WHAT
fun fact: most hospital icu's are haunted in one area or something. my mom has been a pta (physical therapist assistant for quite a few years at this one hospital. in one corner/part of the icu, my mom says you can feel the dark presence of spirits and there have been some sightings/ unexplained things.
pre covid, there were two known ghosts in the pt (physical therapy) department. one was a little girl and the other was a tall man. my mom's experience was once she was alone in the pt dep and the counters there have like a lip/ are raised so stuff doesn't fall off. but a 5 or 10 lb weight just fell off and i think the light flickered but tbh idk about the light. my mom said something about if whatever was in the room didnt hurt her, she'd be chill w it. nothing happened directly to her. one day at lunch (i think) her coworkers were talking about the ghosts/hauntings. one of her coworkers mentioned an older lady that was a patient at the time looked in a mirror and asked who the 'tall gentleman' and 'little girl' standing behind her were but nobody was there. since covid, the pt dep was used for covid patients since they needed more room and there havent been any incidents since.
unrelated: also another one of my mom's coworkers' daughters has a pretty decent connection w ghosts or wtv. one day she called her mom (my mom's coworker) and asked who died bc she could 'feel the dark weight' (or smth similar) and could kinda just sense it, yk? her mom was like 'girl nb died. u good tho?' and later that night, they found out one of their relatives in a dif state had passed away.
I could talk ghosts/paranormal ALL day. Great episode!
I love all of the Smosh folks a whole fuck ton but the most consistently underrated member is 1000% Chanse.
Every one please do the survey i wanna keep seeing smosh mouth every monday !!!! Its what i live for 😢
Also LUNCH TIME WITH SMOSH IS A BANGER TOO ! so run and tell Anthony and Ian that
@@MysticMastersOfTheArts i loved the episode with Spencer, on the couch
I love chanse omg the probing bit was having me cackle literally out loud
As someone from Franklin TN, I can confirm that I’m not surprised this happened to Chanse lol
Noah's story needs to be one of those sketches that Smosh used to do with the podcast audios
everytime noah is on this podcast, i have no idea what's going to come out of his mouth. i just know we're in for a good time.
