Very beautiful! For those who liked, I definitely recommend also listening to some of the Dilermando Reis compositions. He was also a very good Brazilian composer for guitar.
Abdolutely love this! Those Brazilians know what they are/were doing. So many masters from there. You play these excellently. Music is the the thing, Abba to Zeppelin, but this style is amongst my favorite, hands down. Thanks
How wonderful it is to listen to Brazilian music through the perspective of foreign musicians. Thank you so much! Congratulations! Beautiful pieces and an excellent performance! You demonstrated incredible sensitivity and technical mastery, bringing out the soul of each composition. Truly inspiring!
I've been working on your arrangement of Manha de Carnival for a few months now. I've mastered it pretty well for my still very much advancing beginner level, but still a lot of work to go to play it anywhere near as beautifully as you do. It might be time to move on to some of your other arrangements, just to keep myself motivated. Always look forward to a new upload from this channel. I didn't get a notification for this one though.
Thank You for this, I very much enjoyed your playing of these favorites. And I've been working on learning classical guitar for a few years, so I appreciate the pdf's. They'll be very motivating to work on even if they may be a bit beyond me now.
Saudações do sul do Brasil, atualmente Luiz Bonfá é um completo desconhecido para o público brasileiro, Tom Jobim e Ary Barroso seguem para o mesmo esquecimento, tamanho é lodo cultural em que o Brasil se encontra atualmente/Greetings from the south of Brazil, currently Luiz Bonfá is a complete unknown to the Brazilian public, Tom Jobim and Ary Barroso are heading towards the same oblivion, such is the cultural quagmire in which Brazil currently finds itself.
I think cultural decline or decay is happening throughout the world, unfortunately. But I would have thought the homelands of such greats would still honour them. It's a loss to the whole world.
I know U companion....& the melody comes from other source....Still I see your Chords....not too difficult for my playing....I just subscribed....hoping to learn. . . . . . . . . . . .Andres...(NY) PS....I listen to those songs...always.
Yes. Reis is great. I recorded this not too long ago. Check it out! One of my FAVOURITE Waltz | Uma Valsa e Dois Amores | Dilermando Reis ua-cam.com/video/erDdLZGh-Hs/v-deo.html
I am from Brazil and I loved the video. I noticed that the strings on your guitar are quite low. Could you tell me their height? Especially at the first fret of the guitar. Thanks!
Mike does an awesome job, and is obviously playing the instrument that is going to feel best in his hands while producing the best acoustic result. Never ceases to amaze me how the people with the LEAST EXPERIENCE are often the ones that yammer on the most. Wheres your channel?
I play guitar and I often listen to Brazilian music. So melodic. These are classic pieces you'd sometimes hear on the radio in the 60's and 70's.

I love these Michael, btw the download links are a bit hit and miss, also the the playlist one doesn’t load for some reason.

The strings are standard height. Perhaps the camera angle. 🤷
How can I get the scores?
See description for individual videos. Links will be in the description.
Where are these pdf,

Why you don't use another guitar, with a cedar top?
Please go ahead and buy Michael one 🛒
I have my 1996 Rameriz R1 (cedar), the one you often will see in the background.
