I'm a D'addario artist, simply because I LOVE and use their strings (they are the best IMO) check which ones I'm using here:

I'm a beeing of this big spaceship and i'm so Pride of this brother.
😊
❤
I came from future. He is still an alien. 😅😅.
Muito orgulho de fato, thank you Lucas
This level of playing... I mean... if you're guitarist... you know. This is a lifetime of dedication.
And you have to be born with an aptitude that most other people are not born with. So from that perspective it starts with mostly luck.
@@andybaldman sounds like you're just scared to practice man. aptitude is always eclipsed by hard work, and frankly this dude just works harder than you
@@MrAbomb234 You're falling for the biggest lie we tell ourselves in this society, which is that you can do anything you put your mind to. The fact is, people like Lucas are born with an aptitude that puts them ahead of most people out of the gate. And then he practices on top of that, multiplying that ability. The end result is that unless you are born with that same aptitude, you will never catch up to the people who have it.
Want proof? Just look at all of the sub-10-year-old child music prodigies there is endless video of on youtube. Most of the people who are virtuoso-level that you see in videos started out that way. You're telling me those young kids just got that good by just practicing more? That's physically impossible, as they simply haven't lived long enough yet. Some people are just born with aptitude for some things, and not others, and they absorb, process, and retain ability more rapidly. The best thing you can do is understand what your aptitudes are, and are not. And don't buy into a story that you can overcome that difference with 'hard work'. It's a lie that colleges and people wanting to sell musical instruments will tell you.
Some people also just suck at math, and no amount of practice will make them better than someone for whom it just comes naturally.
@@MrAbomb234 Real talk, that's a myth. Either you have it or you don't and he does.
@@andybaldmansome people are born and raised in a way that helps them for sure but it's still possible for most people if they put the work in over time.
All you need to hone each of these skills individually. Telling yourself you weren't built for it won't help you.
Viva a Bossa Nova, viva Tom Jobim ❤

What an honor and pride for me as a Brazilian seeing you playing this song like this. Wow, you are fantastic. Congrats
🌚🖤🎶
Obrigado❤
I'm a 70 year old guitar player and THIS is how I always wished I could play. Amazing and beautiful!!👍
meetoo! 71!
23.. wake up call. Sorry for you guys :/
You could play like this. It's just a matter of practice.
I'm Brazilian and this made by day!
Valeu amigão
No peito dos desafinados também bate um coração..
❤O meu, rsrsrs
you’re the fricking entire band and with effects included
This transition between bass solo to scat to chords is SO SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH
That was totally rad
I call bullshit
The classical guitar is akin to a chess set. It is old, unchanging, yet everyday you can discover new ways to play it
As a brazilian, my first contact with jazz was listening to bossa nova. And that was my first jazz song I learned how to play. Very happy to see you playing a song that's very memorable to me.
I'm not Brazilian, but this made not my day, but the entire week!
The thing I love about this is how worn (i.e. loved) his guitar is . This is pure musicianship !
This is how I feel about people not using turn signals or headlights. You paid for it, why not use it?
Seatbelt entered the chat
And the lowbeam switch for use when there's oncoming traffic
I mean most of the time they’re bmw owners so they aren’t the smartest to begin with
I'm saving them. Might need them later.
idk where u live but any place i know of its illegal NOT to use them.
I'm so jealous. I just spend hours practising Blue Bossa, melody and chords, and I still have the base to cover, and here is this guy playing Desafinado like it's a walk in the park.
Ficou maravilhoso! Honrou a música brasileira com essa obra tá loco 👏👏👏
I'm Argentinian but I grew up listening to this music as I live near Brazil. Today is cloudy and rainy outside but this version made my day.
The persistence needed to reach this level of playing must be phenomenal. Most impressive and very nice to listen to.
As a Brazilian, I am proud to hear a performance of this level of a Tom Jobim composition. Great musician!!!
I've never ever heard a more beautiful rendition than this. Ever! You are a genius!
07.03.2524. Today marks the 500th anniversary of the brilliant Lucas Brar - Desafinado Tom Jobim arrangement.
You rule! Every time I see one of your videos appear in my feed, I always know it is going to be great and leave me feeling inspired, which it always does. Thank you, sir.
As a long time guitarist i sometime feel "awaken" by some musicians. Lately, Julian Lage and you. Thank you for your original work !
Go back to sleep
Again, you impress your fans with an incredible and original arrangement of a jazz tune……complete with a rhythm section, chord melody and excellent scatting with the guitar.
Don't reduce it only to jazz...its bossa nova.
Aint jazz
Man, all it takes is one declaratory statement and the nut job self-proclaimed experts come out of the woodwork. I’m pretty sure I know what jazz sounds like….I’ve been a working pro guitarist for 60 years who studied with Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Mundell Lowe and Ron Eshete. And at this time still working in the pit orchestra currently for the musical Pippin. And BTW, if he is improvising, he is playing jazz.
@@tonybmusic1166 então você é especialista e decidiu excluir a bossa nova simplesmente porque sim? Irmão, existe uma diferença absurda entre jazz e bossa nova. O brasileiro sabe essa diferença de berço, até msm se não ligar pra musica.
@@ianbreno5653Sooo, all bossa novas are not jazz…..even if the player is improvising. So, when Stan Getz played Girl From Ipanema with Astrud Gilberto in 1964, he was channeling his Brazilian muse and NOT playing jazz…..got it now. Thanks for clearing that up. On any of my future jazz gigs, I will make sure my audience knows that I’m not playing jazz whenever I play Wave, Girl From Ipanema or some other bossa nova.
I'm pretty sure I'll get home and my guitar will be watching this video
This channel is pure fun with a heaping side of mindblowing virtuosity. Bravo Lucas!
Superb. Delightful. Great style and humor!
Just incredible !!! Brazilian here !!! Talent and energy fantastic!!!
I loved this foreign version! You are a reference! I'm a Brazilian bassist and how proud it makes me to see such a good musician playing bossa nova! Thanks for the video!
My favourite bossa nova piece, and this may be my favourite arrangement of it! Bravo!!
I have no words 😮😮 what an execution and the voicings .. what !! ?
Beautiful song with even more beautiful lyrics
Bravo! man, absolutely brilliant. Tomy Emmanuel, Bireli Lagrene and Django are proud of you.
Your arrangements bring me such joy! You're amazing!
EVEN JOBIN WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD HOW YOU RENDERED THE CHORDS WITH MELODY. BRAVO AGAIN
Lucas, your videos always bring a huge smile to my face, your playing is so free that I cant help myself. This is where the years of passion shows itself. Thank you, cheers and keep on bringing joy onto this planet.
I love his Variations with bass strings and voice!
Every Brazilian Guitar Music should have bass variations and voice accompaniment or whistle! It is our TRADE MARK hahaha
I'm brazilian guitarist and I'm very proud of you, bro. Brilliant
I wish my country would be known only by its music! Thank you, Lucas.
Yeah bro, sometimes I sit down and I say it's really time to practice again. And in my mind, I know everything you know. In my mind, my control over my fingers is such that I just make this happen. I also know that it would be another several thousand hours of my life and I might not even get to where you are right now. Thank you for putting this on the internet. It's a beautiful piece of jazz guitar.
Somewhere Charlie Byrd is smiling. Of course he did this tune with Stan Getz in 1962 (Verve). I had Brazilian Byrd (Columbia, 1965) and played it to death. Always loved Charlie Byrd, and now I love you, Lucas Brar.
Fantastic as always!
You are an amazing musician Lucas!
Always a joyful experience
Clapping loudly in my head while I carry my guitar to the dumpster. If only I could play an 1/8 like him, I'd be happy.
😂
Wouah! Thanks maestro for one more beautiful performance ❤
one of the most spicy Desafinado s ever heard... bravo!
Excellent as always!
Now I no longer have any doubt: aliens are among us…

Absolutely superb playing, I love the rhythm and percussive accompaniment. Lucas is definitely one of my favourite guitarists.

Just perfect. Melody, harmony, fills and groove - the best version of Des. I've ever heard - and - just one guitar. Fantastic.
It would be amazing to see you playing any song from "Cartola", hugs from Brazil ❤

The moment he started humming heart melts 😆
Insane level of playing.
Surely you must have a side gig playing at a bar somewhere?? Impressed I am.
Again and again: you're awesome!!!! Love your playing so much!
Greetz from Germany :)
Bravo! This is masterful! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That guitar has been played so much that it almost know how to play by itself. The worn of the top always amazes me. Also it sounds so good in Lucas' hands. Cheers from Italy :)
A big revolution happening in a small room!
I liked the parts where you used the strings and the frets.
Seriously, great song, amazing arrangement, and wonderful execution. Bravo!
Amazing playing
Absolutely fantastic as always. Thank you Lucas 👍😍👍😍👍👌👌👌👌

fantastic arrangement and performance! and this famous bossa nova is an evergreen!
Thanks for sharing Lucas, you are a beyond imagination player!
God bless you!
Literally impossible to skip your videos. Every time.
Wow wow wow! That was so good, Lucas! I hadn’t listened to this bossa since the days of Chiquinho Timoteo, I believe, and there is it, completely reinvented, with a chromatic jazz vibe! You are so musical, man. I also loved the whimsical expressions at the end: the Al Jarreau style, the Flamenco tap, and the funny detour by the headstock… 😂 That was so good. ❤
The harmonics on 1:11 is crazy... The first time I saw that was in one of your videos and that blow me away instantly. Wherever I see that again I still get amazed
Absolutely fantastic! Sounds great as usual
this showed up as a suggestion. I'm so glad I clicked on it. thank you for blessing my ears and given me more reason to practice guitar
Great, excellent performance of a tune written by one of the best songwriters.
lovely rendition, sir
That’s a tune you can dance to. 💃🏽 🕺
Great adaptation!! Man, you just captured the spirit of the Bossa Nova style!
Beautiful! Thank you for being you and sharing your talent! 🧡
Best title ever, you’re a genius Lucas!
