Even though I wasn’t one of your customers, this video was extremely useful in helping me getting started up with the same equipment. Quick question, how is it connected to the internet? Does it have some sort of 4g broadcast internally or is it working off of my house wifi? Thank you.
The inverter connects and communicates with the internet with the help of an internal cell kit. It has a microchip on one end that attaches Into your inverters mother board and on the other side of the wire there is an aantenna that gets wired through the left side and mountet on the top. It can also be hard line ran into your modem with a cat 5 Ethernet cable but it's it's rare to hardline direct to modem. 98% of the we just add the cell kit
I have 2 boxes one on left has only solid green but blue off, and the one on right has both solid green and blue, is that normal for one of the boxes not yo have blue on?
Solid green light show the inverter is producing power and the blue light shows the inverter is communicating to the SolarEdge servers. The left box with no blue light shows it has no communication. Check the SolarEdge monitoring app for the array and see if all the panels show production.
Careful with these SolarEdge inverters, they are known lemons. Mine went out last year and I lost several months of energy generation waiting for warranty replacements. I know several people have had to replace these models multiple times...
Best explanation of how to turn on the SolarEdge system I have found. Better than my installer (Not you) or anything the company sent me. Thanks!!
Hi Andy what if i only have the green led on solid only? no blue or red
Isn't the blue light that the invertor is one and working and the green light is the communication?
I’m installing one currently but the only thing I get is a flashing green light anyway to fix this?
Have you commissioned the inverter and got it online?
