It is all perspective. If you like to live in India live here. I have travelled to 4 different countries across three continents. My dream was to settle in India. But I couldn’t due to my family and landed in some difficult financial situation. Still I am working towards the goal to settle down in India.

Good decision. EU and UK will slide into many economic issues. I spend 4 years in UK, Switzerland, now back in Kerala. But avoid all the cities in India. Best examples of worst planning.
Nowhere in this world is beautiful until and unless we are happy! It's our choice where we should live, and it's all people's perceptions and life instances drive our decisions. No need to justify our choices until and unless it makes us happy. Our roots are best to settle if we are getting the right atmosphere and support system in our country, but sometimes priority calls makes us to think otherwise. For me the personal choice was to settle at India but destiny shattered my life and forced me to move to Europe or US. So some times it's not in our hand.

I was born abroad and thankfully my parents taught me malayalam so I could read articles now in malayalam and read bus name boards. I feel connected to my culture. Just imagine your kid at 30 complaining to you that you kept him away from his culture and he feels neither fit in Australia nor in India because of lack of language skills and culture. I am not kidding. A lot of second generation immigrants feel that way when they get into their 30s when the identity crisis kicks in.We live in Canada and my oldest one is 5. We only speak in malayalam at home. I want to teach him how to write and read malayalam. If he choose not to use that after he is 18 its his choice but I will definitely give that education for sure.

Coming back to Kerala is just personal but please do not spread negativity. The reason for return is not straight but viewers can understand between the lines. That is not right approach. You have to wait more than 3 years so child care and expenses could not be balanced because you don’t have job which is closer to the level of your husband. It is harder part of life in uk or similar countries so came back . Please do not fill the gap with parent love , awkward behaviour of children and so on…. If your husband get PR , definitely you will go back that time you will justify with kids get better higher education, we arranged caretaker for our old parents etc….Do not underestimate the people who commented. They have clear picture what is going to happen in future to people like you.

Good decision. EU and UK will slide into many economic issues. I spend 4 years in UK, Switzerland, now back in Kerala. But avoid all the cities in India. Best examples of worst planning.
Nowhere in this world is beautiful until and unless we are happy! It's our choice where we should live, and it's all people's perceptions and life instances drive our decisions. No need to justify our choices until and unless it makes us happy. Our roots are best to settle if we are getting the right atmosphere and support system in our country, but sometimes priority calls makes us to think otherwise. For me the personal choice was to settle at India but destiny shattered my life and forced me to move to Europe or US. So some times it's not in our hand.

I was born abroad and thankfully my parents taught me malayalam so I could read articles now in malayalam and read bus name boards. I feel connected to my culture. Just imagine your kid at 30 complaining to you that you kept him away from his culture and he feels neither fit in Australia nor in India because of lack of language skills and culture. I am not kidding. A lot of second generation immigrants feel that way when they get into their 30s when the identity crisis kicks in.We live in Canada and my oldest one is 5. We only speak in malayalam at home. I want to teach him how to write and read malayalam. If he choose not to use that after he is 18 its his choice but I will definitely give that education for sure.

Coming back to Kerala is just personal but please do not spread negativity. The reason for return is not straight but viewers can understand between the lines. That is not right approach. You have to wait more than 3 years so child care and expenses could not be balanced because you don’t have job which is closer to the level of your husband. It is harder part of life in uk or similar countries so came back . Please do not fill the gap with parent love , awkward behaviour of children and so on…. If your husband get PR , definitely you will go back that time you will justify with kids get better higher education, we arranged caretaker for our old parents etc….Do not underestimate the people who commented. They have clear picture what is going to happen in future to people like you.
