One massively overlooked part about this commercial is how much insane detail they went into involving how much MJ's game changed over time... His younger self defends slightly farther away and gets burned again and again on shot and dribble pump fakes. His older self is always so close that his faces nearly touch (a strategy MJ used to block the opposing guard's vision), and does not go to the air on any jump shot or fake, even stripping the ball before the dribble or the shot can take place (i.e. "you gotta stay low," i.e. "the moment your weight shifts and your head goes up, that's when the ball is exposed and that's when I can steal it." A technique he learned several years into his career). His older self even made a block at the basket (a nod to the fact that MJ was famous on defense for helping even at the low post positions and blocking 7-footers! A little known fact about MJ is that he also *shattered* the career blocks record for a guard by over 200 blocks- he had almost 900 when the previous record didn't even reach 700- and his record stood for over two decades until Dwayne Wade finally beat it in 2019). And even on offense, his younger self usually scores by beating him on the dribble, rising above him for a jump shot (i.e. he reads that his older self won't react to the jump to avoid getting pump faked and takes advantage), and he even hangs in the air and adjusts when he dunks it (i.e. I wish they'd shown him using that to avoid his older self's defense in at least one instance! That's what he was *really* famous for- his lone floating dunks were just a *reminder* of this ability- and what *really* earned him the nickname "Air Jordan." Others could launch far away from the hoop, but his ability to hang in the air for so long that he could physically almost float there for a second and adjust- a la throwing a midair pump fake, switching hands in the air, or even physically changing his momentum to another direction midair- like he was still on the ground was an iconic ability we'd never seen before! It was something that he steadily lost as his legs got older and couldn't elevate high enough to stay off the ground for long enough to change actions in midair) while his older self relies almost exclusively on fakes and the fadeaway (the shot he perfected over his career! Before MJ, the fadeaway was considered a "bad shot" in which your feet weren't set and you were shooting against your momentum, and it was only to be used in last second circumstances. MJ turned it into "just another regular shot" that he often used even when all other options including passing or dribbling were still available, making him nearly impossible to guard)! The insane amount of detail they go into to perfectly capture MJ's game at both ages is incredible! They basically summed up his entire career's game and all its adjustments in one 1-minute video! Again, my only very minor gripe is that they only showed his younger self's "airness" on wide open dunks and didn't show his unique ability back then to adjust to and move around a defender while in midair! What a well-researched and executed commercial! Bravo! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Expert analysis. You must have been involved in Basketball at a very high level.
I normally don't read comments that are so lengthy... but it was entertaining and informative at the same time, I had to finish it. Good read.
Or maybe they just interviewed MJ to tell them the difference between his younger vs his older self. He was highly involved in the making of this commercial, by the way.
This is my favorite commercial of all time
When you dont skip it but put on a replay 500 times
Lol showed up in my feed today, what a commercial!! Brings back find memories . Cheers bro
I completely forgot how good this commercial was
It’s 2022 and I’m still amazed on how how great this commercial is lmfao
Wow this looks so good! Thanks for uploading it and in 4k resolution!! Can you please also upload any other Michael Jordan NBA videos in 4k if you have.. there isn't much videos of him and i would love to see his plays in true 4k..
Es el mejor comercial de deportes de toda la historia, cada MJ con sus Jordan y dos de sus épocas definidas en menos de un minuto, es Arte 🔥♥️
J craw was that dude ..not surprised that he played young MJ ..didn't have the same game necessarily but skill level was up to par .
It wasn't Jamal Crawford, iirc he was close to getting the role but he was too small for it, they gave it to a Harlem Globetrotter: Kevin Daley.
@@georgehands_ according to Crawford, it is him. Dribbling, shooting, and defending. The dunking was done by a Globetrotter at MJs request.
In slow motion you can see it's Crawford at some times. Especially when it's the back of young Jordan's head and he quickly turns.
Commercials just don’t get any better than this.
People forget how fundamentally sound Michael Jordan. Became. It was the closest thing to perfection
You reach, I teach, the lesson just started.
Best part.
Lol I was caught off guard when Mike said ass instead of butt because that's what I always heard him say. Didn't know they had an uncut version of this. 🤣🤣
Mandela effect
I remember this. Thanks for the upload.
