Why do the Slytherins have to go through an obstacle course if they just wanted to go to bed? Were they reinforcing less magical exercise and more physical exercise? Maybe that's why they're so grouchy towards Harry (and Goyle!).
I've always thought this as well! Plus, imagine if someone wanted to enter the common room while someone else was doing the beginning of the obstacle course (3:50 - 5:02). They would have to wait for them to finish the beginning of it, and then for the obstacle course to reset.
I really wish someone would upload an video (without over-music) in which you make "Goyle" jump off from the top of the moving staircases to his death. Not that made me *howl* when I played this.

Two hard parts of this game for me was to sneak out from the Slytherin common room, I never find that short cut in the library and then find all cards. They where hidden in very sneaky places. I only find 49 of the 50 bronz cards, while get all the 40 silver cards and all the 11 golden cards.

To those who don't know, never stay saved when Harry has transformed back and is still in the Slytherin common room. You won't be able to continue once reloading the game if you save and exit, the screen will just turn black and all you'll see is his health bar. And you'll have to start a whole new file from scratch.
That only happens if you actually skip the cut-scene that shows Harry transforming back into himself. then the game glitches out like that. It hasn't happened to me, thank god, but i did read about it online somewhere.
To those who don't know about the glitch, do NOT stay saved in the Slytherin common room when Harry as transformed back and exit the game. If you haven't escaped from the Slytherins and you exit the game while you're still there as Harry, your file will be irreversibly damaged and you see nothing but an all black screen with just the health bar on it and you'll have to start the game over from scratch.

I didn't know you could re-open that secret passage in the library and sneak out unnoticed. Always ran through the corridors, hopping madly to gain some speed and outrun the Slytherins.
When I played through this part of the game, I would try to open that passage and sneak out unnoticed, and sometimes I would try to get noticed and chased by EVERY Slytherin!
On my first attempt at this level I had to restart the entire game as I forgot where the exit was & didn't even realise there was the secret tunnel with the spiders in the library area Once I figured it out I always used that route afterwards as I knew it was the safest way out of The Slytherin Common Room without getting detected by too many Slytherins

I used to be able to get past the girls. I would skip the cutscene (the one with the girls threatening to call for Professor Snape) without letting go of the forward key, and then I would be able to continue getting past them. There's nothing up there though except for two locked doors that you can't open. However, I recently replayed the game and I was unable to get past the girls using the trick I just mentioned. Either it doesn't work on newer operating systems, or I just got lucky the first few times I attempted the trick. There's also no way to get past the door opposite Moaning Myrtle's bathroom without using ghost mode. There's nothing behind that door though; no hidden challenge.
